The tow truck changed and inflated my tire in a few minutes. I needed him since the spare was flat anyway. The downside is it took 1 hr 15 min for the driver to make the .1 mile drive.
Towing and many of the other services a towing service can provide are ones you generally don't want to need. But when you do need them, you want them to be quick, hassle free and you want the job done right (i.e. treat your car with utmost care). That's exactly what I got from Able. After finding me out in the sticks, the driver swiftly loaded my car onto the flatbed, secured it without damage, and promptly whisked it (and I) to the repair shop. The driver took care of all the paperwork (read hassle free) and treated my car like it was his baby. Outstanding service.
I would not use this company ever again. The staff is extremely rude and yells at you!!!! We were yelled at two times once when the person took the car to their station and next when we went to pick up the car from their office. The staff is totally unwilling to listen and shouts at their top voice. Our experience with AAA is so good would never bother to deal with people like this or a company like this. Never had this kind of humiliating customer experience for any service so far. Absolutely worst experience after paying through the roof for this crappy service.
This tow company has the worst customer service. I was stuck on the freeway for almost an hour and a half until I got towed. The first guy could not find my location when I was pretty clear about it. What doesn't help is the have old phones that can't receive pictures of my location on google maps. The first driver gave up and the second person was Steven who got to us 30 minutes later. Steven got to my destination before us and called being so rude. We had to get the money first and we had told him. He did not care about the situation we were in. Once we got there he was YELLING at me. When there was no reason why he was I said I was sorry and he rudely cussed me out not caring. Saying I wasted his time. Then threatened me to take my car if I didn't pay him an extra $80 on top. I was not at all satisfied with my experience. This company and its employees (STEVE) can shove it where the sun don't shine.
Able Towing has been there more than one time for my family when we get into trouble on the road....whether it be towing a car from an accident, needing a jump, pulling a truck out of the mud or unlocking one of our cars because the keys are in the car.
They are fast, professional and get the job done. I HIGHLY recommend them!
California rates at any tow place are robbery. It's cruel to punish citizens w these rates. However this is certainly not unique to able towing. After CA was done w me I was out $720 for a ticket + tow when I had the right permit to Park there (though I didn't have it hanging up, I showed it to her when she started writing the ticket ) in protest I've left CA.
Great, quick AAA-dispatched battery service; sold me the new battery and diagnosed a problem with a short.
Called to the shop to see if they could take me in today, fellow there said "sure!" so I drove it on down; once he figured out it was, yes, really a short needing to be traced he hemmed and hawed, and suddenly they wouldn't be available to take it in until at least Tuesday. Sounds like a "please take it anywhere else!" to me.
Bonus star for actually having a Directory of AAA Apprved Auto Repair Facilities on the counter (especially seeing as though they're not in it).
Took it to another place in town - the chincilla lady mechanic - who took all of five minutes to clean and tighten down the double lead that Pontiac Bonnevilles have from their positive terminal. That's all it took.
the lady in the office is toxic. totally unprofessional. she thinks she knows everything and jumps to conclusions, when you haven't even given her the info. my first call to the business, she was insulting and offensive, then put me on eternal hold. i hung up and tried again-asked her if we could start over- and she hung up in my ear!
also, this tow outfit puts their signs up everywhere they want apparently-regardless of whether or not they have permission from business owners.
Leo was the one who came to tow the car, cheaper than other local companies I called. Great service on the phone and in person. Will recommend any day.
Able Towing our of Redwood City are amazing! My car broke down on the side of the highway (in a dangerous area) at 10:05 PM. They were open, quick to answer the phones, were polite, and had someone meet me where I broke down in 20 mins flat. The tow truck driver, Leo, was awesome, and I want to give him a special shoutout for the amazing job he did. He was kind, courteous, and I had a great convo with him as he drove us and my broken car home. And the price was very reasonable and fair. I highly recommend Able Towing to anyone in the Bay Area that needs a tow. You won’t be disappointed! They saved me from abandoning my car on the side of the highway.
