Leo, the owner, is an honest and smart mechanic with decades of experience. I highly recommend his shop to anyone that needs smog, brakes, maintenance, or diagnostics. He even has a fully-functioning dyno, which impressed me. Above all, he is fair and honest.
Great affordable shop. I went in to get my muffler replaced and they took care of me really quick. I was in an out in about 30 mins or less. Had my broken muffler replaced amd welded back at an awesome price! Definitely recomend and will use this shop again.
Went there for a smog test earlier this afternoon for the first time. The owner Leo was professional and courteous, and price was more than fair. I was in and out in 25 mts, excellent experience.
Leo, was so kind and his service was fast and efficient. I just went over on the 90 days to register my car with a light inspection and had to run a second. Leo was nice enough to discount it for me since I had already used his service previously.
Coopers has been my go to mechanic shop ever since I moved to Portland and got my Honda civic in 2021. I recommend them highly if you need a car mechanic!
I was able to get an inspection and certificates for brake and lamp to allow me to register my previously salvage title car. This was the only shop in the area that I could find that does these inspections.
No appointments allowed, if you call ahead he can give you a window of time to bring the car by.
I not happy with this guy , i brought him many cars but today he didn't want to my car cause it was a 1991 , seriously you lost a customer, you pick your customer and been racist with old cars!!!!
Called several other mechanics that quoted me $500-$600 to change the brakes pads and rotors, but Cooper’s Auto Repair told me since my car was pretty new the rotors were fine, and changing the brakes only cost $130. Service is very easy and trustworthy and car was ready soon after I dropped it off that day. Will be coming back for all my future mechanic needs. Thanks a lot!
Leo was awesome!!! He listened to what I thought might be wrong and asked questions to dig deeper. He found a Crack in my catalytic convertor and welded it right away! He charged a very affordable price and even gave me good insight to another seperate issue with my car. You should really come here to get your car looked at!
was told to get there at 3 I got there a little early was told would take an hour went back hour and a half later and he hadn't even looked at my car yet when I asked he said he still had 2 cars ahead of me, wish I was told that instead of saying it would only take an hour. on the phone gave me one price when I got there wanted to charge more
Absolutely no frills auto shop. Fixed my exhaust in 30 minutes for $40, will definitely be coming back for regular car maintenance. No BS, no overcharging, explains what the problem is. Thank you!!
Mr. Leo was very knowledgeable, quick, and kind. Identified and fixed an exhaust problem on my car in 20 minutes for a very fair price. Definitely reccomend!
Professional and honest. Was stuck with open headers with my 5.0 and Leo was able to take care of the issue when other shops were busy for the day. He didn’t overcharge me and kept it real. Definitely recommend

Very helpful - I've been to a lot of auto mechanics in the Bay Area. These guys are the most helpful, and have the most reasonable prices. They offer suggestions, and do awesome work. If there is something they cannot handle, they refer you to a good specialist. I definitely give 2 thumbs up for the amazing service here!

I'd give this place more than 5 if I could. Not only because of their upfront reasonable prices, but because they are very quick, accommodating, & very pleasant to deal with.
I came for Brake & Lamp Certificates of Compliance. While waiting there, I checked my emails & got one from my insurer, letting me know that they need their own "Certified Mechanic Statement" form, to be filled out by an ASE certified mechanic, which they are.
I asked Leo if I could forward the form to him so he can print & fill it out for me. He was so nice & opened his email so he could print the form & fill it up. All this extra steps he did so willingly. Not a second did he make me feel uncomfortable for asking him to do this extra step.
Even if this was my 1st time to go to this repair shop, both Leo & Javier made me feel comfortable because of their service with a smile.

I was recommend to go here for an exhaust repair that need welding. (My normal guy does not weld). am super impressed. the price was right and he took care of me promptly. I have no doubt that he saved me several hundred dollars over what things would have cost at the dealership or other, less honest mechanics.

I went all the way from Morgan hill to Redwood city to fix code p4021 & p0128 ( New catalytic converter :Manifold & thermostat sensor ) ,because . No one can match Mr .Leos pricing in morgan hill. The beauty is turnaround time is 1.15 mins.

Visited pronto on montery rd, in morgan hill, I spoke to Mr Orlando (mgr) ,he asked to pay 100-115$.,just to scan .

He says a lot and he don't have time and patience to talk to a customer who spent 1500$ for engine work. In the name of saving money he kept the vehicle for 2 weeks. Finally he put the junk engine from junkyard. He didnt return the old engine.( Because he wants make money on that too).
It is a low cost mechanic shop and the owner is so nice that he will get you the best deal you can get in any auto shop in the whole world, please pay him extra if you think that he has charged way below.
I went to my dealer and for inspection, they charged me $80 for half an hour and then the bigger problem it engine light coming on and off, the solutions was to change the catalytic converter was $2600 and he found the actual problem was a rust that he repaired for half of my inspection charges at my dealer.
I may never go to anyone for repairs again. He is my authorized dealer.
My brake light went bad and I was scared a major fix was needed. My friend recommended Cooper's and Li fixed it in 5min and only charged me 5bucks! I would say this is an honest place worth going!
I highly recommend this place! I'm new to the area and went to get a quote at two other places, and then I came here and they quoted me at $400 less than the other two places! They did not try to rip me off at all like the other places.
They also really helped me get my car to pass to smog test, as the computer on my car wasn't working quite right, and I had to go back multiple times. But they only charged me for one test, and it was cheaper than the other places I looked at.
Definitely going here for all of my car needs in the future.
