I’ll spare readers the play-by-play, but the short of it is the tow truck never came. I was given a 1 hour estimate. But the truck never showed. After the 3rd time I was told “just 20-25 more minutes,” I cancelled. The only reason I hung on for hope was because they took payment information up front and warned of a cancellation fee. I was left with 2 small children for over 3 hours. So with rage in my fingertips I write this review, as the sun dips below the horizon and I make a plan B. Very difficult day :(
I ordered a tow 3 days in advance Which you would think would help them be more on time. But noooo.... I had to keep calling them to ask. "Where is my tow truck?" because it was an hour late. Every time I called, they put me on hold and never picked up. Each time I was on hold for anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes and it would hang up. After 3 & 1/2 hours of waiting, I gave up. This place is definitely a scam.
I typically don’t write reviews so for me to be doing this is because I have never seen such awful service . I called for a tow truck and was told prior to paying we were looking at a 45 -60 minute wait . After they ran my credit card the rep comes back on phone and says Mam on weekend we usually run into delays it’s looking like 90minutes now . I thought that was awful ! To lie to me , take my payment then tell me the truth is not right . I took it and said thank you on the phone . 2 hours have passed and still no tow truck . I call and they tell me 20 minutes …. 20 minutes now go by …. No tow truck . Bottom line they had me wait 3hrs !!!!! For this tow truck . I called to speak to the manager Andres who told me that they were down to 1 driver !?!? Excuse me but why was this not communicated to me in the first place ! I would have taken my business else where ! He then pretty much slapped me in the face when he told me he’d give me $20 dollars off my 320 dollars I paid to have my truck taken to Belmont! What a slap in the face to your customers . 20 dollars for a 3hr wait ! Does that seem fair to anyone ?
This place is a scam. I called them and was told someone would be there in 45 min to an hour. Called them back at the 1 hour mark and was told someone would be there in 15 - 20 mins. An hour later, I was told someone would be there in 10 mins. No one ever came after 2.5 hours. CHP ended up calling me a tow truck that came in 30 minutes. Then they proceeded to charge me $50 because their truck was already "en route". Their excuse was traffic.
Said wait time would be 40-60min.
I sat on the side of a highway in a broken car for over 2hours.
The only thing they were super speedy with was taking my credit card info, they got that within the first 5min.
I called about an ETA and they said 5-10min 30 min passed by and nothing, very unreliable will not be recommending anytime soon.
Arrived within a half hour and expediently handled our emergency situation even in a crowded Costco parking lot. The tow truck driver was even kind enough to assist another person in need of a jumpstart for their car parked a few spaces away. Overall satisfied with this company and experience!
You should avoid them. They were quick to take a credit card over the phone and give an ETA of 45 minutes, yet 3+ hours and multiple calls later, they ended up never showing. They gave multiple excuses, "he'll be there in 15 min" statements, and finally put on hold indefinitely. I eventually gave up and had to resolve the situation with another company. You don't want to deal with that kind of stress/uncertainty in an already stressful situation when your car is broken down.
We have AAA as car insurance and them giving us grief about towing my husband’s business truck we decided to pay out of our pocket to this one company.
I called asked how much it would be and how long of time they said approx $115 and 40-60 min…
Well that all became over 2.5 hours after and I had called them to say that I would be paying credit card
They decided to collect cash from my husbands worker who hardly has cash with him….
When they arrived I came out stating why did they collect cash when I was going to pay credit card for our records and I said pls return the money back and I will pay credit card, we’ll it because a huge problem and argument that after all I got charged $158 after I was told a different amount and waited so long. Office girl was so disrespectful and not helpful at all not professional whatsoever. Pls pls I’m being honest CALL ANOTHER COMPANY WITH MANY MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
They did a good job and were easy to work with. The price was significantly different then the initial quote. They towed my vehicle 1.1 miles. They charged over $200.
First I’ll say the driver was pleasant and easy to work with. However, there was a massive delay in his arrival, and when we called to follow up for an ETA, we were told 5-10 minutes though it ended up being OVER AN HOUR passed that. In addition we were charged $100 dollars over the phone quote. And to clarify, there were zero complications, the whole transaction took 20 minutes, tops.
$242 dollars to move a car THREE BLOCKS. That’s just gross.
I most certainly won’t be calling this company again, nor would I recommend using their services. TO ANYONE.
I just got a 30 mile tow from a freeway off ramp straight to my garage in SF. Carlos was friendly and did a great job making the service as simple as possible. Fast service, good quality and care for my truck, they deserve more than 5 stars.
Honestly the rudest towing experience I have had in over 4 years. Starting with 3 wildly off ETA estimates. I called 45 min into the one hour slot and was told 15min, 35 min later was told 7min, 30min later was told arriving now, and only 8min later, almost an hour late after a 1hour appointment window (so I waited 2 hours), tower showed up. No greeting, no apology, rudely got to work. Was going to start towing without first removing the handbrake, which I pointed out to an annoyed look. During the ride, driver loudly talked on the phone with buddy about personal stuff. Then when we arrived he charged me $200 instead of the $135 quote. Got extremely disgruntled when I complained and cut me off repeatedly without space for a civil conversation and then started talking with a colleague on the phone complaining. He ended up driving off without charging my card and did so from file later for $150. Could not have been worse.
Called them because of their rating last night I had a blow on a Right tire not sure why it took them 21/2 hrs to get to my distress call most times 1 hour???. Office stall was friendly and professional along with driver. Jose very nice guy!. Very knowledgeable and professional. I would have given them 5 stars if I didn’t have to wait so long.
Thought I was supporting a local business when I called them, but I got a truck sent from another company in Cupertino. I ended up paying $150 for a 3.5 mile tow as a result. Perhaps this was because it was Saturday evening, but I made sure they offered 24/7 service first. The driver was very friendly and helpful, but he was not from RT.

I am amazed from their costumer service!! It's never pleasant to call a towing company but RT towing was the best. Great price, very careful driver and did an amazing job unlocking my car and at the end I need it a tow. The driver load my car very careful. Will defenetly call this company if I need it again.
I call around for a tow and this company was one of the best on the price and very friendly. The truck driver arrive to me very fast and was very careful loading my car and really knowledge. If I ever need a tow For sure will call this company again.
