I initially called but hung up because I planned to walk in and ask my questions in person. I received an automated text asking if I needed assistance and replied with my issue. Normally these auto texts don’t lead anywhere, but I was pleasantly surprised to get a call shortly after. They were able to take my car the same day (bonus points for being just a couple hundred feet from my apartment). They diagnosed the problem quickly, and Sergei took the time to explain what services were needed and the repair timeline. I appreciate the transparency and efficiency, and I’ll happily bring my car back here for future service.
I just tried Clarity AutoCare, and it was a fabulous experience. The team is incredibly humble and attentive. They responded every time, even at night, and were so helpful, guiding me through each step. I truly, truly recommend their AutoCare service for any need you might have.
I paid almost $1,800 just for diagnostics, even though I'd already had it done elsewhere and explained the reason. They talked me into it and got me to that price ($1,800), and then they wanted another $8,000 for the repairs. I don't know if they would have included the diagnostics in the overall repair, though. In the end, I had to pay that money and leave empty-handed. After that, I got the engine repaired normally for half the price. This is unfair and completely dishonest towards the customer.
I love the excellent customer service and very thorough and transparent explanations of what is wrong with my car and the proposed repair/maintenance costs. Everything is documented via email or text, including photos of my car, their diagnoses and the repair. The place is also very clean.
These guys are awesome. Just the nicest experience from start to finish. Brought in my car for a post-purchase inspection and was a little anxious with so many unknowns, but they were super transparent throughout with images and regular updates, clearly explained what should be worked on and why (and even better, helping me know what I *didn't* need to bother with or worry about - that's rare!) And of course all the work was top notch. I'll definitely be coming back!
These guys are clowns with poor communication skills! I called and ask my specific make and model and if they could replace the transmission fluid on my hybrid. They said yes, and proceeded to set me up with an appointment. Dude said I had to confirm the appointment twice or it would get canceled. I did such, and approved the appointment two separate times. I get a call while I’m working around 4:45 PM saying, they are calling to confirm the appointment and wanted 50$ deposit for the transmission fluid. I didn’t get back to them in time and they canceled the appointment. If you would’ve had clear communication from the beginning, I would’ve paid the deposit the first phone call. But now you guys not only lost my business you lost my trust!
Amazing place. J was able to make an appointment for the very next day and was very accommodating, receptive, and was very knowledgeable with his craft. One of the most important attributes of this gentleman was honesty! You cannot find mechanics with this anymore! I found my next mechanic.

I first came here when my car’s light bulbs went out. Sergei, the owner, quickly found out it wasn’t the bulbs at all but a wiring issue. He kindly fixed it on the spot and wouldn’t even take payment — a rare act of honesty and generosity in the auto repair world.
The second time, my check engine light came on just minutes after leaving the dealership. I brought my car straight to Clarity. Sergei ran a quick scan, explained the error codes in plain language, and helped me understand that the problem was likely with either the accelerator pedal sensor or the throttle body. The whole process was extremely transparent — I received constant text updates about the issue and the work needed, complete with detailed documents I could review and approve right from my phone. In the end, they determined that only the accelerator pedal sensor was the problem, and I was charged for that and nothing more.

After getting a free battery check from O’Reilly, where they had claimed my alternator was faulty but my battery was fine, I searched around for shops and found Clarity to replace it. Upon their own inspection/diagnostic, Sergei and his team confirmed the opposite. My alternator was still functional but the battery was depleted. On top of Sergei’s thorough explanation of service and pricing, and the care/speed in which they replaced my battery—they saved me a few hundred dollars! Cannot recommend them enough.

Not only to they do a multi point inspection, but they take pictures of every area – and if there’s something that’s concerning, they’ll even take pictures and show you the pictures on the iPad about what they’re looking at! SUPER COOL. It was really amazing. I had 100% confidence that they were honest and the service was really professional.
This feels like a small Family owned auto shop and everyone was really friendly. They had a place to sit and relax while I had my car worked on. It’s also in a very nice and quiet and safe part on the border of Belmont and San Carlos. I loved how relaxed and welcomed I felt during the whole thing!
