Replying OVER 4 years later on a review is honestly crazy and really bad customer service to say the least. When and what time? 4 years ago, MULTIPLE times just to get items out of my car due to there always being some issue!
I was young, naive and going through a lot at the time.. including getting my brand new car crashed into and it being towed here. I originally gave them a 4 star review as I thought that those issues were normal and gave them credit for being somewhat nice but honestly it was just short of blatant disrespect with a heaping side of overpriced, tired antics.
Worst tow experience of my life. -10 stars. Left me stranded on the side of the road. These people don't care and even threatened me!
I just left a mechanic shop, and the car started acting up and needed a tow back to the shop. The shop arranged for the tow (good service from the shop) and when the driver showed up, they took pictures of the car and of my ID then started hooking up the car. As he was winching the car onto the flat bed, I noticed the front tires were skidding and I asked him to stop so we can put the car in neutral. The driver claimed that they "always did it this way" that it's "the same as having the breaks on" and "what if the cable breaks and the car rolls down, who will be at fault?" I told him it's not the same as having the brakes on and that it can damage the transmission because it's just a little claw on the ring gear that holds the car in park. I said if I call your company and they say it's ok then I'll accept it. He then started saying that "now he's scared to tow my car" and that he's going to refuse the tow and drop the car off his bed and leave. I said it's fine and to please just take the car back to the shop, but he refused and started trying to back the car off the flatbed. I asked him to please not leave me stranded and started recoding a video of him unhooking the vehicle. That's when he told me that if anything bad happens due to the video that "I have your ID!" that sounded like a threat to me. What's he going to do? Come to my house? Who knows!?!?
I couldn't believe he did that. At no time did I raise my voice or speak impolitely to him. We have a fleet of cars and need to use a tow service a few times a year so, although I'm not a tow truck driver, I've had MANY tows before, and I've never seen someone try to drag the car up the flatbed in park before. My only hope is that these people go out of business so they can't victimize any other customers.
I called the shop, and they were disappointed and surprised and had never heard of a tow truck operator leaving the car in park before. They got me another tow right away and I encourage them to never call this company again.
I'm still sitting on the side of the road while I write this so it's all still fresh. We both could have already been done with the tow and moved on the next thing but instead they have a bad review, and I'll talk to the other shops we use and share this experience so none of them use these guys either.

Edited after their reply: Your excuse doesn't fly. The driver knew what was wrong with the vehicle before they even arrived. This has everything to do with the service of your company and your employees. Bad business and bad behavior and you make excuses instead of taking responsibility for your drivers' actions.
My beloved car was stolen and towed here, and the people that helped get it back to me were so kind and helpful. It wasn’t cheap, but they came in on an off day and even helped jack my car up so I could secure the bottom of it and get it out of the lot.
Wow, I can't beleive how rude people are. I wouldn't recommend calling this business, by they way they speak to you, they don't need or want your business. Do yourself a favor and call someone else.
Horrible experience if you ever get your car towed after an accident by these scammers. They will try to keep the car in a separate lot from their main to make the days pass and gouge you $100's a day unless you give them ownership of your car. How does this qualify as a business in this day and age?
Very pleasant to talk to. Made stress, after car being impounded, a lot easier to handle. Nice to deal with friendly people in middle of this pandemic.
My car was in an accident and the local police called them, and it went downhill from there. This is the absolute worst towing company they could have called, unprofessional and price gougers. I offered to have them move the car to side, pay what I owe as I was calling my tow service, of course that wasn't good enough. Reluctantly I greed with police to have the car moved (blocking traffic) and pick up the car the next day. Guess what, they weren't open. Closed on the weekend and charged for that also, so my tow cost doubled. This is a sham of a business, don't conduct any business with them in any capacity.
Stan's Auto & Tow provided excellent customer service, and the staffs professionalism was exemplary. I appreciate the attention to detail.

Car got towed. One of the drivers took it somewhere they thought we wouldn't go and started revving it up on the tow bed. We have video evidence. I smell a lawsuit
I got pull over for a expired tag. Thats was on friday. Which I told the officer that I just bought the car. He called Stan's tow to impounded my car. On Tuesday I asked them how much to take the car out. He said $475. $250 for the towing and $50 a day. It rediculous how they charge that much.
Kept my car after only 23 days .. they said they are the legal owners of my car after 23 freakin days... I can't even believe it! Worse tow yard ever..
I was really angry at the manager Mercedes, she doesn't listen at all, even when you explain your situation that was not your fault, repeated several times, she acts like she helping you, and will have you running around town to the point, where it will be to late to get your vehicle. Which brings the amount more then she mentioned out of her mouth the first time!
Not willing to help, very rude. Would NEVER use this company. they would not give a pair of eye glasses
or dentures to a person whose truck they kept after making it impossible to get the truck. Never use these rip-offs. You will know what i'm talking about.
