Street and sons/ west auto wreckers have been a part of southbay for over 100 years. They are very loved and respected,and they will be surely missed.
Had a motor replacement on a 2001 f150 last December.Took them 2 weeks to find out their motor had a cracked block. They got another long block from L.A. Took another 10days to finish. Ended up costing $3000.00 because I had to purchase a new intake manifold. Next day after getting truck back engine light came on and motor was leaking coolant. Brought it back left it 2-1/2 days to get serviced. They apparently tried to tighten hoses and water pump bolts. Got it back still leaking with engine light on. Took it to another shop and replaced water pump, camshaft sensor and 2 hoses for another $450.00. Still leaking slightly and engine light on. Took it to my regular shop and they said it needs a camshaft synchronizer replacement for $535.00. Asked them more than fairly to only pay for half the repair. They unreasonably refused and said bring it back. They couldn’t fix it when I had already taken it back. Why should they be trusted again? Today I discovered they overfilled the oil by one quart and engine oil was leaking from the drain plug after taking it to mechanic again. I will now have over $4000.00 in this used motor and several weeks of frustration. Never ever have any mechanical work done by this incompetent wrecker. You will regret it. To repeat DO NOT HAVE THEM DO MECHANICAL WORK. YOU WILL REGRET. THE WARRNTY MEANS NOTHING. I should write to the bureau of automotive repair.
I use an online site to find a part I needed for a particular car, and it pulled up West Auto wreckers. I showed up in person and I ended up speaking with Junior, told him the car I was looking for and he personally let me take a look at the car overall. I told him what I needed and he had someone come and pull the part for me right away. I managed to walk out of there with a few parts than what I originally intended and I was extremely happy with my purchases. Not only are the staff very friendly but they're very helpful and personable. The prices were extremely fair I would definitely return back for anything in the future. Great solid staff and friendly environment.

My brother in law used to own this years ago. So meeting with people that now own it was pleasant and they would help out to the extent of calling other yards to search for parts. They are pricy on their parts. But over all I’m not too disappointed. They are willing to go above and beyond given the chance too.
Danny , his brother and his son are a rarity.. we used them primarily for sheet metal, motors, transmissions and then anything else we needed we checked with them first.
If he had a part he would describe it accurately and delivered it promptly! Fair prices for quality parts... They are not wreckers they are recycles!
They keep many cars on the road by their honesty and professionalism! When u ordered from them you had confidence that you could get the job done! Great for a autobody shop because you wrote estimates off their cost predictions and the quality of the parts they delivered!

They want you to pay for used parts at brand new price costs. Ridiculous. They wanted $200 for used driveshaft. When you can buy a brand new one for $191 online. 1st and last time I will ever go to this wrecking auto part place
West auto wreckers is literally the best place to go if you need something for your car , I just got a motor and tranny there for my mustang 4.6 2003 and it runs like a brand new car , it has 62,000 miles on the motor and they just charged me 1200 just for a motor and labor other places were charging me 2400 and just for the motor , my trany was 800 with including the labor perfect price . thank you west auto wrecker for your work and gob bless you guys
