I called a business to inquire about a part I needed, and they told me they'd check and asked me to call back in 20 minutes. While waiting, I decided to try another shop--only to realize it was actually the same business under a different name. When I called, the person on the phone was clearly annoyed that I was still shopping around and even told their coworker not to bother checking for my part. 0/10 customer service, wouldn't bother them in the future even if they're they have my part.
This is the worst place I have ever been to. The front desk lady is extremely rude, and the security guard treats you like an enemy. Just looking at the reviews, it’s clear that this place does not care about its customers at all.
I purchased a wiring harness and they shipped it within a week. They took my card over the phone and didn’t give me hell on delivery. This is a salvage yard, not a nail salon. Don’t expect to be treated like a princess.
Body shops don’t bother calling them. They deliver damaged parts and aren’t willing to work with repair time. Driver was also very unprofessional, Tito should find another job if he does it like working with customers.
I had an excellent experience with Standard Auto Recycling. Tito was easy to work with they replaced my engine in my 2014 Mazda CX-9 period runs perfect now. Pass smog without problems hopefully I won't need another engine but if I do I'll come back
I served in the UNITED STATES ARMY and never encountered such a rude Napolean syndrome individual (Tito). He's very rude, obnoxious, and practically forces you to purchase the product!

I purchased a used engine from Standard Auto recycling. Things went off pretty good until the vehicle was turned over to me. The vehicle received a check engine light to which I returned to the shop for an assessment. The mechanic scanned the vehicle where he said the 02 sensor was bad. I told the mechanic and the front desk person(Tito) the sensors were new. Tito said there were no issues when he was test driving the vehicle. They called me and told me the vehicle was ready for pickup not knowing the problem with the check engine light. They didn't bother to look further into the problem. They were glad the vehicle was out of their hands. I asked the front desk person ( Tito)to at least reset the check engine light and the change oil light to which he replied you can check in youtube.....all this because he was in a hurry to get out of the office....it's Friday...word of advice before you pay Tito in cash, make sure you are 100% satisfied or else you will feel the way I do.
If this is the right company THE GUY WAS LATINO & HAD A SHIRT W GREEN GOLD LOGO R RECYCLING. He was picking up cars at a tow yard off NATIONAL AVE BY LOGAN HEIGHTS & took time out to help me find my starter on a huge MOTORHOME I COULDNT GET RUNNING & not only found it but he slapped it til I cranked over & it ran like a dream. I’m not LATINO BUT I AM MIXED BUT CONSIDER MYSELF BLK & HE WAS SO HELPFUL I STILL CANT BELIEVE IT. I’m from OC/LA & got in over my head but he didn’t stop til I was ok. Bless him & His company. Racism Who???
Tito is the best! He replaced my engine, water pump, and spark plugs. He gave me a very decent price and went above and beyond by draining and flushing my radiator, adding new coolant and put synthetic oil in when my car doesn't even require synthetic, all without charging me anything extra. My car runs great, thanks Tito
Dude was a straight girl at the desk I came to buy a fog light he said we don't have it I was there on Saturday when he was there I seen it Monday he asks if I was wondering around the yard because he knew I knew the part was there he asked if wanted the after he lied but didn't want to spend my money with them I walked out told he can keep the fog light but I wanted to shine a light on this sad issue sucks being black in San Diego (((we customers have to stop paying for disrespect Rock auto and Amazon will get new or used parts for less and shipped to your door we need to boycott places with this poor service))) again 2023 racism at its finest some Latino people are more against blacks then white people this is sad standard iam looking for a discrimination lawyer already
I see so many bad reviews but I did not experience any of these problems at all. I brought my 2011 Toyota Camry in for a replacement engine in February 2023 the turn around was much faster than I expected. Unfortunately the replacement had a lot of issues, sounded like something was living under the dash check engine lights and and such. Tito was awesome and said they would replace it again and it had the same issue. Tito said he would make it right and on replacement 3 it was the right fit and the car sounds better than it did before. While dealing with used parts can be a challenge,this place makes sure you get what you pay for.
I don’t know who I talked to by massage, but I had my crashed 2010 Nissan at my apartments and need to get rid of it, and the assistant helped me out asmr they pick up and gave me a good offer for my crashed car . I’m really happy with the service they provided and for sure will 100% recomend this place to family and friends !
Bought a 3.6 VVT engine from them to replace my old 3.6 with a hole in the block. They promised it to be a great engine with 150psi compression on all 6 cylinders. I got home and checked it for myself- 150PSI all cylinders. Replaced all gaskets and seals along with timing chain and the car is back on the road again! Engine is QUIET. Wife loves having her car back. Thanks Standard Auto Recycling. Youll be hearing from me in the future for more engines and transmissions as i buy and sell cars alot
Tom, Tito and the rest of the folks at the Standard Auto Recycling were so courteous, helpful and professional I had to leave this feedback. The first day I takes to Tom I knew I was in a good hand. The prices I was given were lower and better than anywhere in town and their work was of high quality. The folks they referred me to actually do the work witch was installing a transmission I got from Standard Auto Recycling was very good and at a very reasonable price. This team is amazing to work with and I encourage everyone to go to Standard Auto Recycling for their needs.
Needed another tail light for a rental car, went to them and bought one that was a perfect match for $75 which was WAY better then the $200 the rental place was trying to charge me for it. They were quick, friendly, and fair. Would definitely go to them again.
this place are professional robbers, they give you an invoice with 90 days return policy, and when you take the part back for refund they claim that it was not the part they sold. taking them to small claims court, filed a complain with the Bureau of Automotive Repair, if anyone need to file a report against this place go to bar.ca.gov.
to reply to your claim, the transmission you received was exactly the way you sent it not missing anything, I do have pics and back up documents that will be submitted to small claims court.
Nicki is a very rude sales person. She lacks in costumer service and is not professional at all. They think the junk parts they sale are worth gold. I was able to get the same exact part for a lot cheaper than they wanted at quality plus who sales brand new after market parts.

It was recommended by Ted's garage to go here for transmission repair on 1996 Chevrolet suburban truck. After paying 1700 this place never successfully fix the problem and ask for 800.00 more. He steals what is left in the truck that was a expensive mend cologne and then denies it . Doesn't show concern that it was stolen. Then he requested more money. He a liar and will milk your bank account. Now turns around and files a lien on our truck claiming a value of $4000. Instead of making good in fixing the problem and giving the truck back in good faith. The owner doesn't deserve your business. Go somewhere else. I wish this business goes down.
I went to buy a part for my. Truck when I took it to the mechanic they told me the piece was not good I took it back and the guy at front started yelling at my husband telling him that he checked it and that if I wanted my.money back I had to wait an hour for the owner bottom line worst place ever
Tried to work out a deal with a vehicle that is running with great interior and new battery and new rack and pinion.
Didnt want the trouble of selling it so I figured I can just give these guys a call and get it off my hands for a quick 500 to 1k.

I spoke with Tony before I could complete what I had to say about the difference on the bill He began to lecture about taxes and how they are added on a purchase I have a receipt that clearly states a deposit left to begin repairs on nissan maxima transmission swap and the left over balance to be paid in full after completion of the repair ,Tony gave a different amount owed for the repair I don't know of any other charge or additional repairs done to add more taxes to the remaining balance and if there where any I was not contacted to let me know of any additional work or to go over the bill for any discrepancies I didn't even spoke to this guy initially I spoke with Robert on a Saturday .very bad experience !
The truth is very bad experience. They are very disrespectful they say they sell parts or parts of the cars that are already destroyed and want to sell what they want to remind them that the car is already inoperable and the lady who works there is very rude and the workers do not know what Sell and many more yonkes around. I recommend you look for another
I come here first everytime I have to recycle ANYTHING! This can be a dirty/smelly job and the people that work here extremely happy with what they do every time I come in. I found their pricing to be most Fair around and recommend these guys to anyone.. Good job guys!
Standard provided a transmission and installed it in my 2000 Nissan. I gave it several weeks to be sure it ran well. It is running well. This is a "no frills" operation that provides excellent service, the best prices, and even a guarantee. Tom and Tito are very knowledgeable and know their inventory. I highly recommend them.
