My husband came in to test a battery that was purchased at the Banning location a week ago. He was treated so poorly by the employee there. He is a tall, older man with gray hair. Completely unhelpful and so rude. Being in the automotive industry for over 30 years we are shocked by his complete unprofessionalism. Will never step foot in this place.
I have yet to know the quality of the machining that the machinist did but his attitude is terrible. He treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about from the time I walked in. The whole time he had a scowl on his face. Everything I said was contested in a combative way. Furthermore I was told that I could come in on a Saturday to pick up my heads and he had neglected to tell the front desk this or to place the items where they could access them. He wasted my time. I used to use John Johnson for machine work and this was the next closest place when he retired . Do yourself a favor and avoid parts authority for machine work . Absolutely terrible customer service.
This store has terrible customer service. The counter help treats you like you have no idea, and they are rude. I refuse to shop somewhere that I get talked down to, like I'm some sort of idiot. There are way too many options out there. Don't waste your time here. If you don't like your job, go find one you do. Be professional and treat customers with respect.
Man, I miss the days of Star Auto!! They used to have the most knowledgeable that had wonderful customer service guys like Rich, Ron, Bernadette, Moses. Those days are long gone! The new crew headed by Trevor as manager has zero customer service and knowledge of their own products! There are many other choices for auto parts in the area. I would advise going to any of those and not parts authority! Oh.
Bad customer service at the Yucaipa, CA store. The person who sold me the parts did not greet me professionally and was very rude in his responses. Not sure his name. Receipt says “Sold by W RT”. If you’re in a bad mood, don’t come to work. If you don’t like your job, find different one. But make it a great experience if you want people to come back to your store.
Amazing people and staff! Very knowledgeable and can help you with anything. They helped me when I was doing my brakes for the first time and gave me such great information
Don't bother coming unless you are dressed well or white... Felt very racially profiled. Lady was polite but rang 2 other customers before me and still smiled and said we will be right with you. Waited more than 15 min just needed my dam brake oil
Battery I purchased that is still under warranty went bad. Had it tested by other testers before even going in. All resulted in battery failure. Of course, when I bring it in to exchange for a working battery because I’m still under warranty, they say the battery tests just fine. Convenient. Instead of working toward a solution, the clerk basically tells me to screw off and it’s not his problem. Horrible service. Even if it isn’t a battery issue (I know it is), wouldn’t he attempt to help a customer find a solution? Nope. I’ll pay however much more to go to a business that actually respects their customers.
They made a very good attempt to find a difficult to locate auto part....

This store is the main part store for all the automotive repair businesses in Yucaipa & beyond!!! The original store was located on 4th.street / 40 some odd years ago!! it began with FRED, MIKE, AND JOHN,WHO WORKED FOR EDISON DURING regular hrs.& worked the parts counter after hours & on the weekends WE ALL MADE INCREDIBLE FRIENDSHIPS WITH THOSE THREE GUYS!! & THEY WERE NATURALS AT MAKING ALL US YUCAIPA MECHANICS LAUGH! THE VERY BEST, EXTREMELY KNOWLEGEABLE, TOP PARTS PEOPLE THERE IS AVAILABLE! ANYWHERE!!

Went in to return a battery without a receipt that was 2 months old. The old guy behind the counter was a jerk. Anyway they wouldn't return the battery because they don't have computers that track your purchases. So I took my business to Auto Zone where they track purchases. I'm out $135 bucks
If this place isnt the second one you call for a price quote, then you should give them a try. Unlike most big chain parts stores you can call and say I need radiator for a 82 3/4 ton chevy pickup with a 454 and they usually won't ask you if its a standard or xtra cab truck. They will give you a price and let you know if they need to order it in. Most of the time they have been able to get parts I've needed the same day if I call early enough in the day. They have almost full machine shop services and carry welding/ fabrication supplies if you need them. I recommend them. Its the 2nd parts store I call when the 1st one cant help me.
This place is cheaper then autozone....however, if you try to return something without the receipt they don't let you. In fact they claim they don't even have a computer to look up your information
I've been buying auto parts from this store for 25 years. They sell great quality parts, at a good price and the employees are both knowledgeable and helpful.
This is my favorite parts place for cars extremely knowledgeable staff do not try to upsell and extremely friendly as well my very first pick 4 Parts as they do not go with cheap parts that will break down like AutoZone
Called in, moses answered, said hold a second. I was on hold for 10 minutes. I drove there while still on the phone and the store was empty when I got there, nobody up front. Lady said moses was in the back pulling a part then he comes from the back with food in mouth. Moses tells me I must have been the 4th caller because the fourth gets lost? But when I first entered and hassled the lady she was quick to find and answer my call after I went in.. Lie #1 my call was lost? #2 they were busy ? #3 moses was busy with a customer; too busy eating..
Of course they didn't have a real reason why they didn't answer
