My family and I came to Lake Arrowhead for the weekend. We did watch the weather and saw Big Bear had 35% chance for snow but not Lake Arrowhead, well Mother Nature had jokes and the storm came to us. I called a place that claimed they would bring snow chains to me but instead they was trying to sell me something else. I called Mountain Auto and the staff was so nice and provided me information for a GREAT person that picked up the chains for me and delivered to me. I have been a customer there for several years. It has been the same loyal crew of close commaraderie and professional kind service. There are always 2 super purebred German Shepherd dogs there who belong to the Ranger son of the owner. All the customers who go there are standard regulars. All new customers are treated as family. Great family store in a small community town in the mountains. Can't even imagine anyone ever having a problem here, although I'm sure there are some. >

Old fashioned auto parts store like my dad used to take me when I was a kid. Complete with crotchety old men. I Love it. New favorite place on the mtn. Thanks gentlemen.

This place is awesomeI was in Need For A batterie and Mike helped me out with getting it done and done right ✅ it is the best auto parts store I have ever seen in my entire life and believe me I've seen a lot of them in 67 years. They also have the most beautiful fur babies around and it's such a pleasure seeing them when you go into the store. They greet you with puppy love 💘

1st off, be careful and make sure the price they’re charging is what it is on the car quest website. We ( me and my uncle) went in and bought a gas cap and some oil, the gas cap didn’t fit the truck properly so we went and exchanged it. The new gas cap we got apparently “costs the same price” as the one we returned, we checked the website a little while after exchange and found out the price they’re charging was $6 over what the website said that exact store charged During the exchange encounter when the owner was fitting the gas cap on the truck and my uncle was in the store (I was sitting in the truck) one of his workers with a horseshoe mustache came out and whispered to the owner “I don’t like the look in his eyes” (talking about my uncle) he repeated this twice before saying “people like that should get their eyes poked out” They wouldn’t do the $19.29 price listed on their website and instead told us to take our business elsewhere. He then said “if you be quiet I can have process your refund” and then we left Again, check the car quest website before you buy from them

One of the best auto parts shops I've ever visited. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Reasonable prices. I won't go anywhere else anymore until the very rare occasion they can't get something.

Mike runs a five star business here. A supplier made a mistake and didn't deliver my brake pads. Mike didn't hesitate to send his guy down the hill, at his own expense that very minute, knowing tomorrow was Sunday and I was in the middle of a brake job. Old school customer service, knowledge and knowhow. The real deal.

We have never drove in the snow before and bought our first ever tire chains here today . We couldn’t figure out how to get them on for over an hour . we finally asked for their help and the boss in charge helped us out in less than five minutes ! The wonderful dog in the store gives this place extra points . Will recommend this place to all my friends who come up here

I stopped in due to a check engine light that came on while I was in thr mountains. Although covid prevented them from running the codes for me it didn't stop them from talking me through the steps to do it myself. Great service in a timely fashion.

I so love the guys at mtn. Aoto. They are always helpful and pleasant to me. How blessed our mtn. is to have our personal auto store. They - John and Mike know their business and cars , etc. If they are not sure they will do all they can to find out for you. Plus they are trusrwothy and completely honest. The best, the coolest auto parts store I have EVER been in! Wife and I moved up here in April, 2019. I had to go here for some oil and discovered the floor is covered with 2-3 large, cool dogs! Just made me feel at home. All the guys in the store are down-to-earth, knowledgable, regular, hard working dudes that will do anything to help your automotive needs. I hope this place never changes. I always look forward to going to this shop, if for nothing else than to see the dogs. Four paws up!!!

Place is really cool, staff are very helpful when they want to be lol. There's a dog that wanders around the store so if you have a fear of dogs beware. It's a boxer. Prices are a little high but that's typical for shops up the hill. Overall I'd recommend it.

They are VERY personable and helpful and put fluids in car for you. Even noticed while putting fluid in,mice were setting up residency. Oh yes and love being greeted by the boxer.

The staff are extremely professional, go above & beyond any call to ensure you've received answers to all questions as each relate to auto and if they don't happen to carry or stock a product in store, they will refer you to another retailer who does! Service surpassed!

They are good enough people, but if you sell oil you should dispose oil for your customer. This place has only been good when your in a pinch. You should drive 14 miles down 18 to Autozone for full service without gouging. The 2 stars is for good customer service and attitude.

One of the best in the business!!! Reliable, friendly, and knowledgeable... I find it rare to not only have a team of people that work as hard as them to get the correct parts I need in a timely matter, but to also keep up with the demands of a constantly evolving market and know how to track down dealer only parts, specialty tools, and all of my professional needs.

I no longer live in the mountains, only come up every few weekends, but will frequently save most of the parts orders that I have to give this place business. They are awesome guys that know their stuff. They have saved me money, helped me with finding parts and the only auto parts store that I go out of my way to try to patronage due to the service and staff. The bearings for my 1986 Toyota are the same as a newer model one, save an extra metal sleeve and about $20 cheaper. That is the kind of knowledge I am talking about. I would rather give them my money than anyone else.

This used to be a really good shop. Unfortunately, the new owner is driving it into the ground. Mike has anger management issues and will variously refuse service or fail to honor warranties when he gets in a bunch. I think he needs a serious personal transformation or should pass on ownership to someone who can provide customer service.

knowledgeable, always helpful and will help you inspect to be sure you are getting the correct piece. if they can't supply your part they will find where you can get it, even if less cost than theirs. they always put wipers on for my wife. and if you cannot get to their store they will have one of the men drive the parts to your home, no charge. free tools to loan out. this is helpful especially if you will only use the tool once and don't want to buy it. i have a neighbor who was delivered to in the snow.
