UPDATED REVIEW-I had let the mechanic know this car was a pain and I didnt want the hose to be an issue. The fact that the owner would say were brain dead to even go to air and hose source for over a week only shows how poor his listening and verbal skills are. I clearly asked how much he would charge to get the line and instead I got a joke and a response rhat said I would have to go to air and hose source, which is exactly what I was going to do. So before this whole issue with getting the hose made, II came in to the shop and spoke about the quick connect part and how it pops off and how you turn the plastic cap to push out the hose and yet they still managed to break both caps on a new hose and an old one. Then to say they can glue it on when thats supposed to be a disconnecting cap to get the hose off, only shows how terrible his service is. Lets say you need to get the hose off, now what??, he just glued the cap that supposed to get the hose off, on the hose! Of course I didnt trust an incompetent mechanic who says they want to glue the part THEY BROKE by the way, on the car. To say the caps break when you take off the hose is ridiculous. Its a twist cap. Theres even a YouTube video on it, maybe he should have seen it, cause I sent it to him. Furthermore, BMWs are for people who can afford to pay mechanics, yes I totally agree. But not for mechanics who BREAK THE PARTS YOU PROVIDED and think glue is a professional fix on something thats meant to move to help you get the part off the car. So pay a mechanic, but a mechanic who knows what hes doing and isnt going to rig your car with zip ties and glue. I might as well have had my 5 year old niece glue it for me, but im sure she wouldnt have broken the part in the first place. As for research, I did research by the way and thats why it took a while besides amazon. The mechanic isnt open on sundays so I had to wait. The guys at air and hose said, " who ever worked on your hose broke your caps, we put them in a bag for you, that should have never happened since it clearly says open with an arrow." Knowing this only reassured me that this mechanic shop, doesnt care how they fix your car just that it works for a while. Then back to the shop apparently. Oh also upcharge, for your time, totally when you actually do something or offer to help, not just complain that the car was there.
This place doesnt know how to work on cars such as bmw. This place was recommended by a family friend and they ended up breaking off the cap that locks the hose in place for the high pressure hose. Both on the new hose and the old hose! To top it off, they wanted to glue the cap back on. Why the heck would you glue a cap back on if its meant to be used to take the hose off. Then for the owner to say that he should upself 30 percent for his service is ridiculous when he didnt even do anything. The excuse was that they break off sometimes. Thats not true, because the cap clearly says to unlock twist. There should have been no reason for it to be broken off. Even the guys at air and hose, who made the new hose for the car said, it clearly says to open with an arrow as well to take off.
On-call auto- the owner is a great mechanic! He tuned up my car and made sure it was running safely and smoothly. He’s honest, straightforward, and does excellent work at a fair price. I’ve recommended him to several friends, and they’ve all had great experiences too. Highly recommend!
Chris was more than courteous and very professional. Brought my car in for some suspension work and now it’s driving amazing. There were some other things he found along the way which I expected to happen since it’s a 12yr old car. Very reasonable prices and they completed the job much faster and cheaper than other places had quoted me.
Honestly the only person I'm going to go to anymore! Great guy and knows what he's doing! Fair prices too! I love that he is willing to work with you on the prices and told me what I really need done! Doesn't try to sneak weird stuff in for an extra buck like other mechanics!
Has helped my car and truck numerous times. Very honest and dependable! Was told my car needed like a new engine or something. I forgot what the wrong diagnosis was. Was going to take it to salvage yard. A friend recommended Chris. He said that it just needed fuel injectors. It runs absolutely great now! Highly recommend!
