I recently brought my 4Runner to The Toy Shop of Cypress and couldn’t be more pleased. They were responsive and professional, listened to my concerns, explained the problem clearly, and walked me through the options without pressure. What impressed me most was their transparency. They explained not only what was wrong, but also why one repair approach might be better than another, which gave me real confidence in their work. Pricing was fair and represented excellent value. I’ll be steering all future service their way and highly recommend them to any Toyota owner looking for honest, expert care.

This was my first visit here, I called ahead and had my car towed in. Robert went above and beyond in finding the issue (which I had thought was something completely different) and recommended a specialty shop to repair. He was so helpful and even called the owner of the specialty shop to discuss with him. I really appreciate his honest assessment of the work needed and willingness to help me schedule the repair on a stressful day. This level of service really stands out from the rest. Thank you!

My good friend reccomended this place to me, and I drove about 30 minutes from Irvine just to come here. Took my tundra there after I bought it for an inspection, they did a great job and were very fair and honest. They did pads and rotors both axels at a very reasonable cost. Thank you Jared and Robert.

Jared went above and beyond for me saving me potentially thousands of dollars! I was told by another mechanic that my car needed thousands of dollars in repairs to keep it on the road. Jared looked at it for 20 mins and checked a few things and was able to resolve the issue (at no cost!). They are honest and knowledgeable people and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Robert is truly an honest mechanic l, you can trust his top notch work. He only uses OEM parts in his repairs.

This place is solid! Jared was honest and helpful. They were not able to do the tune up at this time because I had some transmission issues based on the diagnostic results and he recommended me to another mechanic. He didn’t charge or sell me anything. That alone deserves my respect and I will definitely come back for that tune up or any other future problems on my Tundra. Thanks again Jared and Staff.

I took my son's 2010 Prius in recently as I thought that there was something wrong (unspecified, as I do NOT know a thing about cars). The Toy Shop was efficient and helpful, even with my vague, non-specific details about what I thought might be wrong. They set up an appointment for me to drop off his car and quickly got me in and out of this on the day of. It turns out, there was nothing wrong with his car (!) except that some of the air filters needed changing out (gross, he's 20 years old, don't get me started). Easy, peasy, and at an extremely reasonable cost, we were done. I was driving to Temecula to have our Toyotas serviced, but now I can come to Cypress! It's a win for everyone! (And the clean air flows once again......)

The repair here, replacement for a stolen catalytic converter, is still in progress, as it requires cooperation by our insurer. I can say that the personnel at this very small shop are on top of it, keeping us in the loop. More later.

Robert and his team recently did a tune up for my fathers Lexus. These guys were very informative and honest. Definitely worth the drive to get our vehicle up to date with its maintenance. Thanks guys! Appreciate it

What else can you expect? I am getting a very honest, experienced certified Toyota master mechanic who never cheats and always gives me his best recommendations for my car. Because of him, I am driving a Toyota. The place is very clean, and the service is very fast. I am very very happy with this place, and I am confident to recommend this place.

Been going to the Toy Shop for about ten years... Taking my 06 Sequoia, then my 14 Sequoia for all sorts of routine maintenance and repairs. The guys are professional, honest and matter-of-fact. No pressure, just the facts. Prices are reasonable compared to the dealership and the work has always been good. Nice to be able to talk to the guy working on the truck rather than a service advisor whose job is to sell up and get the paperwork right who doesn't even go to the shop. Glad Robert and the guys are here... Hard to find good service. Also recommend the Avis/Budget rental across the street. Decent people and prices And cheaper than Uber Covid rates for a ride home and back.

What started out as an innocent suspension swap turned out to be more complex and they made it right with me. They have integrity and they care about customers. 5 stars, hands down!

I really can't say enough good things about this shop and the guys that keep it running. There aren't enough good words in all of the languages combined. They found out what was causing a misfire on my 2005 is300 that the Lexus dealership of cerritos broke. (Timing belt pulley when the imbeciles pried it off) saving my life. Getting me back to work and commuting in a dream. Take ALL of your Toyota's & Lexus' here for ANYTHING you need or want done. It is really amazing that you can pay a GREAT PRICE for GREAT WORK or drive MAYBE 10 minutes to the Lexus Stealership of Cerritos and pay a HORRIBLE PRICE for HORRENDOUS WORK.

I took my car here for an oil change and to have my clutch and brakes inspected. Jared took care of my car. He was very honest and very knowledgeable. He pointed out to me that my clutch bearing has a factory defect and suggested to take it to the dealer first and have them work on it under the vehicle's warranty. As for my brakes, Jared inspected it and did not recommend me to have my brakes change as it was still ok. Other shops would have just told me otherwise and change the brakes anyways. I really recommend this shop to everyone who is looking for an honest, reliable and knowledgeable shop. The staff are great. Price is not the cheapest but they are not the most expensive. You get what you pay for; an honest, reliable service.

I just bought a used Lexus is350 and I took it to these guys for an oil change/ engine flush with oil additives. I looked up a local shop as I didn’t want to go to the dealership and I’m glad I came across these guys. I called hem over the phone and made an appointment which was very quick and I got quoted on the phone for the job I wanted done BUT when I took it in and hen got it back they charged me less then originally quoted! (They said it was easier than expected) Now I’m NOT saying they will always charge you less than originally quoted but I beilive this shows how honest this company is and I highly appreciate it. I will definitely continue to take my Lexus here for future services. Thank you guys again. - Josh

The guys at the Toy Shop are total professionals. My wife and I and our families have been taking our vehicles to them for years. They will always go the extra step to make sure everything is done in the best possible manner so you are driving a safe vehicle. I would highly recommend their services to anyone. They just replaced the front brakes and rotors on my 2015 ford F-150 and it is like brand new again.

After calling my usual mechanic as well as 4 others locally, and being quoted what i thought were rather high prices for fluid changes, i found the toy shop on line and man i couldn't be happier, they work only on Toyota's and so they knew exactly what I needed anx were half the cost. The other shops were vague and left an opening to charge me more money. They quoted me a price and stuck to it, as well as finding a few other minor things that they did for free but just needed to be done, jarred was amazing to say the least, i cant say enough good things about jarred and the toy shop, all of my Toyota's will be going to them for now on!

I got turned on to this shop from a good friend and haven't been given an excuse to find another mechanic. Honest, trustworthy, and reliable! I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality work and customer service to give them a try if you have a Scion, Toyota, or Lexus.

Found them via Yelp, local shop that specializes with Toyota and Scions. My clutch pedal was sticking on my scion tc, I went to several shops and was instantly told that it was the pressure plate... They didn't even bother coming out to check my car. I stopped by and the mechanic (Jared?) came out and checked out my car. He opened the hood, and showed me what he thought was wrong. I had a suspicion that it was the master or slave cylinder because other scion drivers reported the same issue via forums. Without telling the mechanics, he suspected the same thing. We went back in, he gave me a quote and ordered the parts. I came back the next morning and dropped off the car. The mechanic worked on it right away and called me when it was finished. Now my car's clutch feels even better than before it was broken! Sorry for the long review, to quickly summarize: friendly and honest, very professional and skilled, warranty work and straight forward. Don't hesitate, give them a call!

I have been an owner of various Toyota vehicles over the past 15 years. Robert and the team handled my 2002 Toyota Sienna with great ease. The brake service was reasonably priced and although the repair took a day and over night stay, the repair was well worth the wait. Although this already seems like a great review, there is more. Upon completion I was told that another item was found to be faulty and bad, which was awesome because they went beyond my repair focus and covered other areas. Areas beyond my expectations and surely I will be bringing back my van for more service. Oh yes one more thing, they checked the ABS systems and tire pressure lights and didn't even charge me. Not like other local service sites. I highly recommend this shop.

Robert is the best. Found him on Google after searching for a Toyota mechanic in Southern California. He is well worth the 20 mile drive for me to have my 4runner worked on. Very fair labor rate and will work with you if you can't afford something. Good guy. Take your Toyota, Lexus, or Scion to him.

My family and I have been frequent customers of The Toy Shop in Cypress, CA for several years now. When my Honda died a few years back, I even chose to buy a Toyota for the simple fact that The Toy Shop exists. The reason for this loyalty is simple: The Toy Shop is the best place in the Cypress/Orange County area to get your Toyota looked at, fixed, or--in some cases--seemingly resurrected. The shop's owner, Robert, is not only a Toyota guru, he's an extremely courteous mechanic who still believes in that old fashioned thing called "customer service." On top of that, he has the kind of integrity that should be standard for all mechanics, as it's the kind of integrity that lets you know you are paying a fair amount for exceptional service without any need to spend time checking around at other places and playing russian roulette with your wallet. I know everyone thinks they know "the best mechanic" -- but unless you know Robert, you are wrong. He is as essential to my Toyota as my Toyota is to my day to day life. If you're in the Cypress area and own a Toyota, you owe it to yourself to have the peace of mind that comes with knowing a great mechanic -- and you'll find him at The Toy Shop.
