Mac is an awesome guy to talk to and he has stories for days.Stayed here for a week, no problems.Arrived at the cabin and it was spotless! Mac and John are both very informative about Yosemite.I highly recommend coming here!

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Long the Way cabin. Wifi /service was a downfall but..camping. They out a lot of effort into the little ammenities in our cabin down to bandaids and cleaning supplies and coffee and snacks and bottled water. They were accommodating when we asked for anything. Thanks!

Owner of this campround tried his best to accommodate me and my family, but unfortunately this campground is VERRY close to residents who live there. And it seems like they are tired of dealing with people who camp at this site. Will be the last time i camp here, not only because of the the rude neighbors but also because of poor power supply. Mine and my neighbors breaker kept blowing numerous amount of times. There are cabins at this location, and one gentlemen staying in these cabins mentioned they were having the same problem.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Owner and manager were so unprofessional. Neighbor threatened us with beating us up and shooting us because we rode our bikes on a public road by his house. Owner and manager totally took his side and when we tried to explain what happened he just walked away. Don't use site 6 7 8, the power kept shutting off due to lines being old and John says that happens when the campground is full. Website states there's wifi but you cant even connect.

This is an interesting place. It says RV/Campground but it’s also a mobile home park. We stayed in the long way tiny house. There were two of us. As soon as we saw the place we wanted to leave but we took a chance. As soon as we walked in I had to clean the tiny house because it was not clean. We never took our shoes off because the floor was gross. Pros: Quiet 3 bars 5G on AT&T Really hot water The refrigerator worked good Good AC Friendly neighborhood kitty The manger was helpful Live edge counter and barn door A few water bottles and snacks were provided Cons: The tiny house was next to a resident who was a hoarder and there was junk everywhere. It was not clean The provided sheets didn’t fit the mattress The mattresses were uncomfortable The counters were dirty and so were the dishes The rusted stove didn’t work The sink was very dirty and tiny The faucet dripped constantly There wasn’t even a mirror. I had to fix my hair and do my makeup in my car The walls were dirty The blinds were dirty and broken The microwave and toaster oven had food in it from the previous guests The door was hard to open and the door knob was very loose The house was not level. Everything slopped to the right front corner My husband was scalded in the shower when I flushed the toilet Things in general were old and rusted The provided towels were old and ratty This place needs a serious deep cleaning and major repairs and updates. We would not stay again.

Camped here for two nights. About an hour away from Yosemite National Park entrance. Bathrooms are well kept and they have grills with propane that are free to use for campers. Lots of neighborhood cats around as well as deer, turkey, and birds. They also have basketball hoops and John sells wood at the check in area. Great place to camp!

Our family had a great experience on our stay here. Our RV campsite was standard size to fit our RV, tent, and still be able to extend our RV roller shade, our spot was shaded, hosts John and Mac stopped by to see if we needed anything, and spent time talking to us. Bathrooms were clean, showers were great. Perfect spot to stay and close to Yosemite. Seeing all campers that stayed while we were there seemed to be enjoying themselves. We would definitely return to stay again

Terrible campground, close to the park. We had advanced reservations for a 50 amp full hookup site, with an assigned site number. When we arrived, someone else was in our assigned site. The host said they had no idea why someone was in our site. There were no other 50 amp full hookup sites. We ended up spending the night in a 30 amp site that was so small we couldn't open our slides. No picnic table because the site wasn't big enough (the one I thought was ours apparently belonged to the cabin 6 feet from us) We requested a refund but they would not refund for the site we did not receive. We went to another campground nearby that was slightly better and closer to the park, but still not really up to standards. I would avoid this park unless you have no other options, then I would go to dispersed camping in the forest service land before I paid this place a dime. In 40,000 miles off cross country camping, I haven't found a place worse than this, though a few tie.

We love staying here for the whole week, close to Yosemite park, Chanelling driving the roads, not very good WiFi, but great bathrooms, John was a great help when we first arrived, than got to meet Hank the owner, very nice gentleman, highly recommend the park,,,, it’s not a resort , but who needs one when camping, we came from Deep South Texas and if we come back, this will be our camp,,,,

This was an acceptable stop for an exhausted crew. I tried making reservation online, couldn’t get it to go through. Called at 4:55pm and asked if they had any openings, super nice that they did! But explained I couldn’t book online. Lady told me to try again and then call back if I couldn’t. It would not go through still. Called back at 5pm when they close apparently, and had to leave a voicemail. No response. Also emailed them from their website, no response. So we just showed up and hoped for the best!! There was nobody to check in with. Signs said to self pay by bathrooms. We didn’t know where to go, and never did find a self pay area. No campground map. We just risked it, picked a spot and parked. A man did come out after a bit of us setting up. Greeted us nicely. Squared us away. We slept well! Very quiet camp. BEST part was he let us leave our trailer no charge for the day while we enjoyed Yosemite! That’s amazing. He should advertise that on his booking site. I bet a lot of people would be interested. Other than that, it was a camp area packed tight with tents and RVs. No space between anything, don’t expect any privacy. But seemed safe and quiet!

I had reserved 6 days ($500+) through HipCamp and cancelled a month before my stay and was only refunded 50% minus HipCamp fees. They have a super strict cancellation policy. It's upsetting that I lost over $200 because I had a change in plans. Really think it through if this is the right place for you.

It was beautiful, and the area was more communal. They had restrooms, firepits and grills for each lot. The lights stayed on all night. The location was close to a library and large convenience store that was a mix between a market and a hardware store

This is an rv parking lot. I wouldn’t recommend, especially if you’re tent camping. Spaces are ridiculously close together, I was able to hear farts coming from the surrounding sites near us. Bathrooms were not kept clean or stocked and only 1 sink was functional. If you’re in a pinch to find a place to park overnight you’ll be ok here but I wouldn’t plan an entire trip around staying here. It was a real disappointment for us. You could have a similar experience camping down the street at the gas station.

Thank you Mac for being so hospitable and treating us like family, we hope to one day be back and you'll still be able to host us! We came in and booked for 3 nights at a tent site, so I can't speak to hook ups or anything relating to RVs, but we had the sweetest spot next to the managers office (close to the wifi). We really enjoyed the many hilarious stories and great recommendations around the area. Honestly, any questions I'd go to him he's the absolute best, the trip wouldn't have been the same otherwise. The picture is us enjoying an episode by the fire which we downloaded using (and abusing) the wifi.

This park can kill your dog! Yosemite Valley is an hour away. Pulled in late and didn’t notice the filthy prongs on this 30A outlet. Stayed 2 nights and was left with this damage to my plug. Brand new plug before this trip. Park manager brushed it off and refused to make anything right. Park is all dirt and weeds. No “grass”. Spots for RV are tiny. More “Patio Space” at a rest stop. No pride in the park, but if you enjoy Trailer Park Boys this might just be your jam.

We tent camped here for two nights. They do have cabin and RV options. The place is nice and has a community feel to it. You reserve a spot, but once there, you can pick the spot you want from what's available. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and the hot water was plentiful. The staff is as nice a staff as you could ask for. It's a good jumping off campground to visit Yosemite; it's about a 35-minute drive. My wife and I had a nice, quiet time there and wouldn't hesitate to book it again. PS: It looks like a great location for a movie set.

It has pretty scenery, and is relatively close to Yosemite. That's about all the good I can say about it. There are no laundry facilities, and no general store of any kind. The bathrooms are filthy, and the roads in the campground are un-paved and rough. The staff is nice enough, as long as they don't have to actually do anything. The tap water came out brown while I was there, and I was told it's just a high concentration of iron, but still safe to drink. But if that's the case, why did the owner then try to bribe me (with a few measly water bottles!) not to mention it in a review? I would not recommend anyone stays here.

Westlake Campground is the best there is in the Yosemite area. Extremely nice staff and very accommodating. The RV plug in spots were spacious and very easy to use. A friendly community as well. Would 100% recommend staying here on your trip to Yosemite. FYI AT&T is the only cell service that works in that area.

Rented a cabin for a night here. Cabin is cozy, the camp host even left some snacks and turned the heater on before our arrival so our cabin was warm and welcoming upon arrival. Bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen in a campground and there were turkeys and deer there to greet us when we arrived! I love the amenities that come with the cabin (fridge with water bottles microwave, coffee maker, toaster). The cabin is charming and feels like home elwith beautiful woodwork. They even have handmade patchwork curtains for the windows.

We have spent 4 nights here and it has been wonderful! It is very woodsy and rustic. There is a central communal area where campers can gather. There are showers /bathrooms although we came in our RV. There are cabins if people are interested also. Each area has a bbq and a fire pit with lots of wood available. Every morning we woke to deer and turkey grazing thru the lot! The owner Mac and his wife, Heidi, were very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. They gave us information on local fishing and guided us to Yosemite. It seems they have thought everything thru here!!!

We have stayed there for three days with a baby. It was a great experience. Mac and his wife were really friendly, providing us with recommendations for the Yosemite Park. Safe place, clean restrooms, next supermarket about 20 min.

When you first arrive, the first thing you see is a broken down trailer that is permanently there and the yard is covered in garbage and junk. There are many year-round trailers that are falling apart and just behind the “campground “ is a year-round, full-time trailer park where residents hang out in their yards and stare at the campers below. There is no store or any other amenities besides bathrooms that are moderately clean. There is just a lot of trash everywhere. We had a picnic table when we arrived, and it was stolen and taken to another campsite I guess. The roads are winding, but that is not the problem. The campground is very sketchy and I would not believe it would be safe for children. The trash dumpsters were overflowing with trash, and the trash was laying on the ground. I wondered if this was safe in “bear” country. Overall, I would avoid at all costs. We’ve camped a lot of places, and we are not snobby, but this was not very comfortable.

Let me start by saying I have stayed in many campgrounds from coast to coast and this is in the top 3 worst ever! When you check in prepare for it to take 30-45 min. You will be educated on the area, don’t get me wrong some was useful and I understand the intent; but after traveling for most of the day I just wanted to get to my site, set up and relax. Instead maybe offer to give information if someone comes back in the office asking. Once to the site it’s a bit tight for sure but there was also water all over the ground from a leaking pipe on the site next to us. I didn’t think too much of it till later on it kept getting more and more soggy, by the next morning the whole front of our campsite was mud. So I insisted on another site and was told to pick one. We moved and the new site was better. Still extremely unlevel. There may be 4 somewhat level sites in the whole place. There is very minimal maintenance happening here. It seems they care more about just having people stay here rather than customer satisfaction. The second morning people leave early to get to Yosemite (understandable) but people were checking into a site next to us that someone just left from. This was at 7am!!! It wasn’t happening quietly. This place is completely unorganized, and could benefit from some major overhauling. Quiet time at this campground is not enforced I was woken up each night with people either checking in late leaving late or moving their rigs around late at night.

We arrived late in the evening/early morning and the host was super accommodating. He greeted us in the morning and gave us a map of the Yosemite. He walked us through the best places to visit and gave amazing instructions on how to navigate the park. The campsite was beautiful, it was peaceful and the amenities were amazing. The drive up the campsite was winding with a scenic view of the park. It was nerve wracking a little bit for those not used to driving on mountainous terrain, but once you get used to it, the drive is not that bad.

It's a pretty "rustic" and expensive campground in a fairly remote part of the Sierra Nevada mountains, located close to the old (and mostly abandoned) town of Coulterville, CA. Sites are all dirt and sort of level, bathrooms are old and worn but mostly clean, there's spots for campfires all around and it appears every campsite has a new (if cheap) bbq grill. Water comes out brownish, even after two filters on the feed line. Ownership is working to keep the place running but you can tell it's just an older rustic campground that just happens to be fairly close to Yosemite Park (if highway 120 is open). Value for the money is pretty low, if or when I come back to the area I will find another place to stay. Management is friendly though, Mac is a heck of a nice guy.

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. We felt so welcomed and cared by people and cats. The owner is chill, fun to talk to, gave us zucchini from his garden and some gentleman came to check on our tires out of concerns because he heard some sounds from our rv when we drove by. Restrooms are clean and other amenities are well maintained. Our dog liked watching turkeys and deers run around. Definitely check out this place!

My wife and 2 kids loved our first experience here. We plan on coming back many more times in the future. We were pleasantly surprised to still have service on our devices. The fire pits outside were great for making smores. A BBQ grill was provided, and a mini portable stove, which we took full advantage of. The distance to Yosemite's entrance was a short drive away 35-45min drive. The manager of the campsite Mac was so nice and informational of Yosemite, and just a joy to talk to. Great, comfortable place to relax and share memories. THANK YOU MAC!😁

This is a small park set along a small road outside of Coultervilke, CA. The location is great because you are just 30 minutes from the 120 entrance gate to Yosemite. If you have an RV, the hookups are satisfactory. Water pressure is much better than at many parks but some of the sewer connections are at odd angles. Some of the sites are shaded but several are open and exposed to the constant sun. Like many parks, sites are rather narrow. The biggest challenge for an RV is that the sites are not leveled well so getting your unit settled in for an enjoyable stay and then hooked up to leave is a challenge. The owner Mac is very friendly and helpful.

This place was great! They have all kinds of cabins available and tent sites tucked all over the grounds. The bathrooms were very clean and never ran out of hot water! It was close enough to Yosemite but way off the highway so it was nice and dark at night. There are some permanent residents in the back area of the grounds and you could hear people on their porches at night from I was staying in a tent but everyone was quiet after 10. The manager is super helpful and checks on everyone every evening. I felt safe traveling alone here.
