I was very impressed with the products and staff member Ramon who was very attentive and helpful, also installing the halogen headlight bulbs! I highly recommend this store!
Super helpful staff, always knowledgeable and friendly. I have a number of good qualities, but knowing stuff about cars isn't one of them. That's where these kind folks come in! Thanks for helping me with my headlight bulb!
The Spanish speaking gentleman who was working there was very kind and helpful. He took the time to look at the different products with me for my needs. He even went out and took a look at my car. That's what I call service! I highly recommend this place for your car needs.
I called over to see if they had the right battery that I needed for my car. When the gentlemen told me that they did ( wish I got his name) and how much it would be. I asked him if he was able to install the battery and he said "NOT IN THIS WEATHER CONDITION!" I understand yesterday (11.20.2024) we had some crazy rain however that is not what you say and how you treat your potential customer especially when the policy states you guys will install it for free. ( could've said it may be a wait, or I don't have enough staff at the moment something better than that crazy reply!) I ended up going to another store and they put my car battery in while it was raining hard without hesitation. Told my coworkers to think twice before you patronize this location. Do better!
It was raining and my windshield wiper was dead. I was able to easily purchase one after calling them to see if they had them in stock purchased one and they installed it for me right there! Customer service is impeccable! On top of that they usually have everything you need and if they don’t, they will order it for you if they can find it. I’m very impressed.
If I ever run into an employee that looks happy at this store I will probably faint. I'm not saying their not helpful, well after you get their attention. Selection so-so, shopping experience so-so, prices so much more than they should be.
A very nice young man helped me with new windshield wiper blades and a new headlight. He offered to install them for me, hallelujah, and had both done in a minute or two. He was also a total cutie. Special thanks!
Very interesting visit. I was the only female in the store and the sales people were busy with quite a bit of traffic on the store and the room lol employees were hopping to get this and that for the customers and they seemed competent. So after this rush, all the men were gone. I'm walking down the isles and past the counter and I must have looked like an alien to them, they probably thought I was lost and that I'd figure out I was in a place not familiar to me. Not one of them said hi or may I help you or anything. I thought that was almost hilarious. So I didn't say anything and just observed their lack of engagement with me. So I'm not complaining about O AP, they always have what I need, and it's always organized and clean, so I didn't buy anything, I just sen6t back the next day and bought what I wanted
Not needed, but wanted. Any how it was funny how they didn't participate.
If one of the men help you and you are a woman don't expect good customer service. One of the older men does everything he can to delay service every time a woman is next in line. Unbelievable.
Not much to say except that the phone is constantly ringing and it's very loud and annoying. The staff are helpful but always busy so it always takes 10 minutes to even get a single item. The selection isn't bad but they are always willing to order whatever they don't have.
Needed USB & Cigarette lighter port to replace mine. Wired it into my fuze box, works great, didn't need to spend money diagnosing wiring harness short. Everything works again. I'm VERY HAPPY!
We went to the DMV so my 16yo could take his driving test. All of our lights had been working when we checked at home , but a kind officer at the DMV pointed out that our rear brake light was out. We needed to have it fixed quickly so we didn’t need to reschedule his driving test. I called ahead to O’Reilly’s in Novato and they had the replacement light. When we showed up I asked if anyone could help and Nick was a rockstar. He sold me the replacement light and helped me figure out how to replace it. I was able to fix it in their parking lot and head back to the DMV for my sons test. I highly recommend O’Reilly Auto Parts in Novato and especially Nick. He saved the day and we have a new driver in the house!!
These guys can assist you in battery change out and loan you a tool to fix your ride I came from out of town with my sweeper truck and Curtis assist me as if I was your next door neighbor it was great customer service especially the latina I belive her name is Esmeralda or starts with E she was awesome as well. Very knowledgeable.
No help but good place for clerks to play video games eat lunch at counter and socialize. On my way out of being disgusted I was asked by one more mature Latino man who had been working in the back if he could help. 0 customers in the store.
Of my Marin County auto part store experience, this one has the best polite smiling staff, but the worst inventory. I basically like this one the best but they don't have it as opposed to going to the Staring Stanley places only because they DO HAVE what I need.
Can't thank these guys enough for their patience and help during a stressful situation with me trying to fix my own car, replacing serpentine belt and then one of the idler pulleys which had shed ball bearings and locked up. At one stage, because I was far away by walking distance, they dispatched the delivery driver who came to me with parts, no extra fee, for which I am super grateful! What amazing service! And when one or two parts didn't fit for a variety of reasons, they were super helpful in trouble shooting with me and also in returning or exchanging the merchandise. I'm already a loyal customer, but this experience changed my outlook altogether on O'Reilly's. Basically from good store to GREAT. This was really my first time needing more than just incidental help from staff and this is where they excelled and greatly exceeded my expectations. I was also amazed that everything I needed for my jeep 93 grand Cherokee was in stock. And if it hadn't been, they offered same day or next day delivery for the parts, which is really great. I needed a specialized bolt as well, and they stock a large variety of such bolts in pertinent diameter, length, and varying thread pitch, and I was able to find one that fit perfectly and smoothly. I also bought some cheap tools which I expected to destroy in the process, but they held up as well. Anyway, from the manager to the rest of the staff, they really know what they're talking about and also how to utilize internal resources. I've been to auto shops in general where the employees can only work at the surface of the problem and instinctively give up after an initial set back. These guys had alternatives and backup ideas when my quest presented such challenges. I really appreciate them digging in and going the extra mile for me. I'm sure If they're reading this, they probably feel like my situation is very typical and they always love helping out as they did, all normal in a days work, but I'm telling you, from a customer perspective, this service stood out to me, enough to inspire my writing this.
I enjoy coming in here. The employees are helpful when you ask them but don't hover over you while browsing. This time I went in for brakes and rotors. They match up vehicle, year make and model to ensure proper fit and have good prices. If you like to do it yourself then come here. They have all you need for your car and if they don't they will order it for you.
The store is neatly laid out and was well stocked. There is adequate parking. The service received was excellent. The cashier was efficient and very personable.
I love this place. My service dog Lucy comes with me and the staff always give her treats. She knows exactly where to go. The guys here are very knowledgeable and very helpful. I will always come here with my car stuff
Super nice and friendly people work here. I had some car issues and they were very helpful and came out to my car and helped me. Go here if you have issues with your car. They will help you out.
Replaced my 2-year old dead battery with a new one under warranty. No hassle and was able to borrow the tools when I realized mine were the wrong sizes. They don't carry every part; however, the basic stuff is usually available in the sizes I need (batteries, headlamps/lights, oil, fluids, filters, accessories, wipers, and so on).
I typically go to this location and can usually find everything I need.
There have been several occasions where this place has been grossly under-staffed. When that happens, there's a line to the front door from the cashier and only 1 senior staffer with the knowledge to do all tasks/solve most problems. This particular person is rightfully frustrated because he is answering the phones and trying to move the line.
If upper management is reading this you should seriously think about staffing your store appropriately and definitely do a better job with training.
Lately if I drive by and the parking lot is full I just go to another store even if it is farther.
