Always come here when my bins get full, so I typically know what to expect in exchange. Associates keep the line moving so there is little waiting in line.
The guy in charge of weighing is ridiculous. Told me you get more if you weigh vs counting. I asked him if he could tell me the difference and then printed out the ticket and told me, “No, I did what you wanted now you’re mad.” Last week I was there and one of the guys said I get more for counting so which is it? Rude for no reason, and mocked me as I left.
Staff moves customers quickly. People tend to park haphazardly, so you may have to awkwardly park. You have to drive through the line waiting for the nearby In-and-Out Burger to get to the recycling center.
This recycling center is one of the worst - they open later than what the hours state and close early - there's not enough baskets to go around, it's filthy and the line moves EXTREMELY SLOW-unless you have time to kill and a lot of patience I'd steer clear of this place.
Got there on Friday morning about 9:15 AM, and the lines were already long. While I was waiting in line, several people told me that this was the only recycle center that was open, many in the area had closed. The guys who man the center really work hard, and are very nice people. No complaints.
Update 5/17/21: arrived about 3:30 PM, they are as busy as ever, barely able to get more additional empty barrels to load recyclable items. At about 4:15 PM, they cut the line off as they close at 4:30 PM.
Takes way to long because they closed down other local recycling centers so now this place is overloaded. They need to put up some ez ups or umbrella s for shade.
Use this place to bring cans, plastic bottles and and other recyclable items. Located behind the In & Out burger on Inglewood and the 405. Employees are helpful...
SPECIFIC LOCATION - behind the In-And-Out Burger. There's not much to say. Due to the unnecessary and redundant Bottles & Cans bill you have to visit these guys for a refund on CRV containers. - On one hand, the new owner has a website and a phone number. - On the other hand, the employees often have bad attitudes and close up early. - Who has old school 'bankers hours' any more? They are open Mon-Sat 9:00am - 4:45pm, closed for 30 min lunch, PERIOD. Looks like the owner is trying to screw their employees out of a full 40 hour work week. Oh, that explains the bad attitude. Only hope for most working people to use this service is Saturday - what an effing Zoo.
