Friendly staff here, to be honest. However, this place DOES NOT take copper for recycling. I must've had 15 pounds of thick copper wiring for recycling.
The boss man informed me "we do copper". This busted trip cost me from getting any money for today. As I arrived here at 4:00 pm, to late to go somewhere else before the standard 5:00 pm closing time at most recycling / salvage businesses.
I had a horrible experience with SCV recycling the driver had a 4-Hour window of time to show up not only didn't show up but didn't call I had to call the dispatch number many times to get through to somebody no one returned my calls the pickup was pushed to the next day and still the driver couldn't show up on time... & that's not even the worst of it! maybe they should stick to doing business in LA county and leave into account it to the locals
Had an old car to get rid of. SCV made an offer through Clunker Junker. Great communications, even after a mis-schedule. It happens. Tow driver was nice and courteous. Guided me through the paperwork. Zelle received prior to tow hookup and off she went. Keep up the good comms. That is a strong plus in these days of terrible customer service and follow through. Good job!
Had 2 cars that needed to be picked up today it was a little mission on one of them but Pedro was able to get it with the help of one of our neighbors as well he wasn't gna give up. Pedro was really respectful and determined to get the vehicle out. Thank u Pedro
My wife and I went through them to recycle my truck. My wife spoke to someone on the phone and was told that as long as my car had catalytic converters there would be no issues.
When the guy came to pick up my truck all of the sudden there was an issue with aftermarket catalytic converters. They also left me waiting for hours to pick up the car once the deal was done.
Don’t trust them!!!

Perla the phone representative an Will the tow truck driver were extremely genuine an really awesome with great fast communication & service. SCV recycling is a professional business. I arranged with them to pick up my 1999 Saturn for salvage yesterday, they said one of their drivers would be at my house between 5 and 7 pm yesterday, the driver called and let me know he would be at my place in 15 to 20 minutes. He got here, I signed the title and received my agreed payment and 10 minutes later he was ready to go.
Just when I thought it couldn't be any worse...They do away with the small scales. The only way a guy had a chance to get in and out within a hour, well more often two.
I don't know why they can't comprehend the two scale system they have. A loop. Weigh in, dump, go to second scale, weigh empty then go park somewhere and come back for pay. Simple. If it wasn't for me people would still be pulling on to the scale forward. Ridiculous.
Today the line was almost backed up to Target. I get out and go look to see what the hold up is, is a lady unloading her truck literally one item at a time. A lot of this goes on. Put a limit of five mins to unload and if they can't have a guy help. There's numerous employees doing nothing.
Anyway, was a good scrap yard 4 years ago. Not ever 5 star but fair prices and used to be somewhat fast. Is dead now. I left the line and found a new place. 6 years of loyalty out the window.
I took 4 batteries from my boyfriends low rider we had 13 of them all the exact same . They paid me 8 dollars each when he brought 4 more of the same batteries they paid him 14 dollars each . Must have been because I am a women so they cheated me and again they were exactly the same brand weight and size . That shows you this place can't be trusted and they take advantage of women . Don't use this place they will cheat you ...
