Bait and switch waste of time.
After going through a 15 minute process I received and agreed to a quote for a junk vehicle pickup. Driver arrived and pulled a blatant bait and switch, offering a lowball price.
Save yourself the time and aggravation, look elsewhere

Had a smooth and easy transaction with cash for cars. They reached out to me quickly for a quote and gave clear instructions on how the process worked. The tow truck came the very next day to retrieve my car. I gave them my title, they gave me the check and everything was done in less than 10 min. I would definitely sell to them again. Raju was extremely helpful throughout the process.
This place was interesting to deal with. Overall I give them a 5, but it was close to a 4 or even a 3 if I wanted to be unfair about it.
Pros:
-They were fast. I had an offer on the vehicle in less than an hour with discussions to set up the pick up that same day.
-EVERYONE I spoke to was nice and professional and answered all my questions, being very patient with any questions I asked and making sure I understood the process, even walking me through signing the title as I had never done that before.
-Personal rep (Gangadhar) who was someone I could go back to at anytime if I needed anything and always helpful.
-Value. They offered quite a bit for the vehicle that I considered useless. Our engine was shot and estimates to fix it were 6k for used or 9k new. Fixing wouldn't guarantee the problems would stop either, so we opted to put that money to a new car. The offers we got elsewhere were 40-50% less than Cash for Cars.
Cons:
-The only 2 big frustrations were communication between departments and scheduling. But truthfully, not badly enough to warrant a lower review.
Communication - We had the vehicle at the dealer to get a quote to fix it, and they required a couple people to call and make sure the car is released as opposed to just one person in their system verifying it (I see this as a safety measure despite its inconvenience on the customer though, so no affect on the rating overall). It just would have been nice to know this ahead of time as it seemed to be good, but the next person we were transferred to then needed to do the same thing.
-Scheduling the tow truck to pick it up. Due to our schedule, it took several days to get the schedule to work out. You need to be available from 8-5 for the tow truck, but if you are available for only a portion of that time, there is no way to schedule a more specific time frame, like morning or afternoon. Since the tow didn't cost us anything, and "beggars can't be choosers" I am not considering this enough to take away part of the rating, just an annoyance in the whole ordeal.
Overall I would completely recommend Cash for Cars. Just have some patience and be collected during what could be a chaotic or stressful time (a car that has added so much chaos to your life due to breaking down and not being worth repairing for example) and you will end up with a great value for something that otherwise is worthless without more time and/or money to repair or part it out yourself.
Couldn’t have had a better experience. They were professional, quick and offered me a good deal to take my car of my hands when I couldn’t deal with it anymore. I would definitely recommend anyone to try them if they are searching to get rid of their car.

They harass you even after you say no. I ended selling my car privately for 3xs what they offered me. I kept receiving calls even at early hours of the morning and after saying no multiple times. I had to block them. Ridiculous. If someone says no, stop harassing them.
The process with the company was fast and easy. The customer service representatives were very polite and helpful. They offered a fair price for my vehicle and it was picked up today. I don't remember the name of the young man who picked up my vehicle for towing, but he was nice as well. Would definitely recommend this company.

Best experience I could ask for, transaction was transparent and quick. I forgot the tow truck guys name but that dude was super helpful and paid me on the spot and was out of my driveway in a timely manner. Would recommend to anyone looking to sell a junk car and get the BEST deal.

I went on Google found this company that buy used cars. The car was not running, I completed a questionnaire someone called me, ask questions about my vehicle gave me a quote. I excepted the price. They came out the next day. I sign the pink slip ,they wrote out my check tow my car away. Happy am I. Don’t hesitate to call this company completely reliable.
So much more convenient than waiting for unreliable tire kickers who just try to bargain with you. Just as advertised, I had a check in hand and my vehicle was towed out in less than 24hrs. Total time from the time I made the phone call, until the entire process was done was actually only about 6-7 hrs.
Did not have good experience at all because Mohammed failed to document that we didn't have Title. We had taken $100 less for that reason.
CoPart didn't pick it up saying needs Title and we were left stranded. We even called Cars for less to cancel the sell. We had to move the car from street by Tuesday before 8 Am.
Had he documented like we discussed car would have been picked up by Monday 5 o'clock.
We were in process of some how disposing to someone else but we gave in as someone from CO PART CALLED to pick before 10 am without Title so we gave in back.
But due to failed documentation we had unnecessarily huge stress.
CO PART has lousy customer service as they don't even call back especially this local center at Lomitas.
Even Mohammed had hard time connecting to their Rep

The process was pretty easy and they made me a good offer for my car, however my email I received for “pick up” date and time was not successful, not sure what happened but they were supposed to come to pick up my car on Friday and they showed up on Sunday, the technician was very nice and made the experience better. I’m still satisfied.
I honestly had a great, seamless, quick and professional transaction. From my initial inquiry to the day of, customer service was very courteous and walked me thru the whole process. The tow company staff were also very nice and helpful. The drive was also professional and it only took about 30 mins to complete when he got here. I would DEFINITELY use in the future. They also gave me more for my car then anyone did!
Very easy to schedule a pick up once I had all the needed information. Driver did not show up in the time frame given. Was about 3 hours late. Other than that it went pretty smooth. Eric at the call center was very professional and responded quickly.
