  I was considering a replacement motor for my 2007 Jaguar XK. My repair shop Woodland Hills Quality Motors sourced a motor at Galaxy. At my request they put a $500.00 deposit down with AVO while I figured out what to do. It took a month to get an appointment to have my car diagnosed by Steve's Jaguar in Canoga Park. That diagnosis confirmed the need for a new motor but the cost was over $8500.00 to do the job. I couldn't afford the repair at this time. I went to see AVO, who sent me photos of the engine he had. He asked me what Steve's Jaguar quoted to do the job, and said he could do the job for a $1000 less but his mechanic was in the hospital and it would be several months before the job could be done. After weighing my options. I decided to hold off doing the job and perhaps selling my car at a loss or waiting to save up the money for the repair. I asked Greg to call AVO and get the $500.00 refunded as I didn't know when or if I would do the repair. AVO refused to refund the $500! He said he spent 2 hours removing the engine from a car! He NEVER told Greg my mechanic that he had to do that because if he had, Greg would have told him to hold off while I decided what to actually do. He also never said NO Refunds! AVO made Greg wait a week after lying to him that he had to talk to the owner about refunds..AVO IS THE OWNER as clearly stated online! I appealed to AVO asking as a courtesy of one business owner to another to refund the money, and even offered to accept 1/2 refund. He said NO! AVO is a short sighted business owner who lost a potential $7500.00 repair job by keeping a $500.00 deposit. I would NEVER do business with GALAXY used Jaguar parts due to AVO's lack of ethics, honesty, and poor customer service. He is dishonest and untrustworthy in my optinion! He was ready to undercut Steve's Jaguar who has bought parts from him! DON'T do business with this man! A classic example of someone winning the battle and LOSING the war!

  Buyers Beware! Galaxy Used Auto Parts is a less than reputable operation. They stole $5,000 from me! I recently bought rebuilt longblock XK8 4.0L. engine for my XK8. Engine was sent to shop here for installation. After switching out manifolds etc, was installed in car. Engine was assembled incorrectly. Timing was 180° out as Flywheel was installed incorrectly. As long blocks come with timing set installed and sealed, This was only found out after attempting to start engine, which trashed the heads/valves. Galaxy Used Auto Parts sent replacement engine but is refusing to assume responsibiltiy for the $5K in labor incurred installing their mistake. They know they made a mistake, which is evidenced by the fact they sent a replacement with no additional charges required. They sent a misconfigured engine now Galaxy Used Auto Parts refuse to accept responsibility for THEIR mistake reimburse me for the labor inccured as a result of their mistake. Beware!

  No matter what your Jag needs, these guys will take care of you. I have 2 of them, and both are maintained by Galaxy. UPDATE: I just bought another car form Galaxy . It's a Jaguar XF and it's beautiful. I'm very happy! Tom

  This is heaven to any Jaguar owner. There are numerous parts for a well organized salvage yard. They have a body shop on the premises also. Avo the owner is very helpful and gave me a great price on a hard to find part. I will definitely be coming back.
