Ridiculous. I understand your ID, but your fingerprints, taking your photo and a license plate scan? Very intrusive. Also the 3 day hold on your money (for recycling?!?!). NOPE. Won’t be back.
I took my vehicle to retire at this location. The guy at the scale window was very helpful and friendly. It took him less than 10 minutes for the process. Fast and friendly service.

I brought some scrap pieces I had first taken to the pawn shop to get checked out and was told it was a mix of zinc and copper .when I took it to recycle they've checked it out there demeanor seem a little sneaky and they kept looking at me as if I didn't know what I had and they wrote down that it was brass and only gave me $13. I still have more pieces that I'm gonna get checked out at a couple places and if i confirm that they are NOT brass and worth more ....I'm gonna go back and get what is owed
I've been a customer here at s&a for sometime and the service here is excellent the guys at the small scale ART , Miguel and his crew they are 100 and the Man in the back as well as the skill operator behind the windows sales clerks customer service sales people everyone here is just amazing.
Dude at window needs customer service training. They need to update time on location still says theyre open until 1pm. If you close at 12pm be open till 12pm don't close at 11:30am
Very fast and helpful. Helped me sort and separate all my bottles. very quick and gave me a great pay out. Would recommend to anyone looking to recycle
They always try to give u nothing for my metal. Everytime I get there I always argue with the employees that never want to pay me the right type of metal always give u the lowest of the lowest.. scammers and liers
Had to go there today for the first time. And I was treated so horribly that I will never go back. Never. I tried to ask a guy a question he was extremely rude and threw his hand up in my face. Then when I went up to the scales the gentlemen there also gave me a nice attitude. When I went to back up so that I could unload my scrap he was rude. Even the wonderful lady who gives you your money was horribly rude.. It takes a lot for me to complain. I worked in customer service my entire life. But if I worked like this I would not have a job. I understand that no one likes to work but if it weren't for us coming in there you wouldn't have a job. Please just be nicer. It's not that difficult to be nice.
Be careful the Lancaster facility have no pricing displayed and did not pay for materials accordingly they mix things to pay the lowest to nothing..Will not use this facility again
So I went there 3 days ago to try to get rid of clean aluminum scrap metal I asked the guy at the weigh station what's the price on clean aluminum he wouldn't even look at me in my face cuz he was so busy on this phone so I just took my business somewhere else.
If I could give them 0 stars I would! I called asked her to check something was out on hold somehow disconnected I called back got a guy who then transferred me back to her and got answer maching, called back again and got no answer again! It's very frustrating and I still don't have an answer to my easy quick question!
Prices are fair, and customer service is good, with only one exception. The guy who takes the weight initially is the most arrogant invesile I have ever come across. After you hand him your driver's license or I.D. he throws it back at you. I find that to be rude, arrogant, and in poor taate, as to degrade you. The lady that actually pays you makes it up by being polite and courteous. This is the last place i go to just because of this man's pompous and ignorant attitude. He might be the owner, but his demeanor brings the whole experience and customer service down to a failure and would not recommend this place solely because of this man, which is your first experience with this place.
Dude in the window at the scale need to work on his customer service skills. Too busy on his phone to even make eye contact with me. Didnt even answer my question. Just ignore me. Giving 1 star cus i have too to leave review.
Been awhile since I've been here An I was impressed with there service I took in 5 loads of scrap metal in 5 days an was Happy with each trip Not only with the prices but the service was great as well..
SA Recycling does offer the highest prices to customers. The best part is that every customer gets paid the same. SA Recycling often posts their prices paid on a billboard that can be noticed from the inside parking lot. Also there is a digital weight display that can easily be seen while sitting in your vehicle on the large scale. The customer can easily see their weight before unloading in the back.
I took a stainless steel fridge too them about a year ago and they gave me around 75 dollars
And I just went the other day to take another stainless steel fridge and they only gave me about 7 dollars idk what happen I think the guy put it down as tin and not stainless steel , he didn’t even check therefore not doing his job right , I know because the lady that help me out the first time checked it out before going inside , they just played me but it’s all good won’t go back here ever
They are ok but the other recycler on I by railroad tracks AV recycling is much better they work hard n fast specially the white guy there he is very helpful
The best recycling spot in town! Hours can vary on holiday weekends. Please bring your ID and know your license plate number before getting in line (or create an account).
Honestly I have been going there for years today was the first time. I went and was told after the fact that they had no money to give me and offered to give me a check. I don't want a check. Bad enough we do not already get back what we pay for recycling and to have someone charge me a fee to cash a check. Then the cashier tried keeping my copy of the receipt. Well I see I never posted what I mentioned above but I did go the following day and was given my money. I have been going to this recycling place for years. Cant tell you how it compares to others. But for me its the best place. It's local to me.
People are usually friendly. They open early so you can beat the heat. You get good money for your recycling. They accept all metal but you don't get much for most of it unless it's aluminum. You have to be careful and watch out for broken glass and debris (it is a junkyard). I don't care for the music they play it has a lot of profanity and makes me uncomfortable.
No cash to give you. They tell you after you've done all your recycling not before. Then the gal tried to keep there copy of the receipt after she tells you she can make a check or I could come back tomorrow. I had to fight to keep my receipt. I said I do not need them to lose it. She had an attitude. If she keeps their copy how would I get paid? Like I really want to pay someone for check cashing fees. I want my money now. This is horrible.
