I’m done with this store! I tried to make simple purchase that turned into passive aggressive assault on my character by a soft spoken checker. Who was confused about pricing and accused me of ”yelling“ at her. That never happened! I asked her for an apology and was ignored. I’ve been to this location for years and I won’t ever return.

The service is great and the store looks clean I found what I was looking for

Nice place, not too crowded. Construction materials not available. Just tools and hardware

Very helpful staff. Hard to find their may. Hardware section as it is below ground level and few signs fit it

Go here if you don't have time to make it to Home Depot. But you won't find everything you need

Team here refused to assist us 15 minutes prior to closing, came in for a few last minute supplies for a home project and just a bummer their hours don’t match when they are willing to serve you.

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Avoid This Place! I waited in my car for 15 minutes after placing my order, only to get a message telling me to call them. I called several times, but nobody answered the phone. Finally, I went inside to find out what was going on. Their excuse? “We’re short-staffed.” Short-staffed? I saw multiple employees running around the store but not a single person helping customers or managing orders. No organization, no communication, and zero customer service. If you value your time and money, go anywhere else. This Ace Hardware in La Crescenta is one of the worst-run stores I’ve ever been to.

Helpful staff found what I wanted. This may seem strange but if you want to bake a pie at home for a treat you can buy one at Ace. They are so good . We have apple and cherry so far . They come frozen. Super good.

I was there on Saturday to buy a new trimmer. Went downstairs to use the restroom and ran out right away, The restroom was completely trashed, filthy and scary, I asked to see the manager to report it and one could not be found. I talked to two guys in the paint department and told them. They basically shrugged it off and said it wasn't their job. I used to like shopping there won't go back. Ken

Excellent customer service! Great selection in my neighborhood means I rarely need to make the trip to Home Depot or Lowe’s. I mostly shop the garden section including the drip irrigation products. I have purchased many tools, totes and canning jars over the years. Plenty of great seasonal items as well. Love this place!

Really great customer service and extremely friendly staff with just about everything you need. The one time they didn’t have it the store rep helped me find it as it was an odd piece that was proprietary to the brand. Great service

Great store, great staff, lots of parking. The only downside is that Ace's prices usually seem to be at least 25% higher than every other store's. But if you're willing to pay the high prices, this is a great place to shop for DIY.

Lately it seems like good customer service is hard to come by, which is why I felt inclined to leave this review. There was a mix up with an online order and long story short, the manager & employees worked with me over the phone to get it sorted so my Task Rabbit person could pick it up ASAP. I very much appreciated their assistance and pleasant attitude through it all.

While choice of near by hardware stores are limited in the area its well worthwhile traveling to avoid this store. We had placed an order for pick up and were notified it was ready. We arrived and go to the desk marked for Pick Up and stood for quite a while, no one was there. Finally someone asked if we needed help. Well, yes, otherwise why would we be standing here? Then the young lady says "OK, I can help you at Register 2" (an empty register) so we walk down the check out lane and someone steps up to her. So, instead of saying she's helping a customer she proceeds to wait on someone else while we again wait. Now she calls someone else who goes to look for our item. The item is described completely on the paperwork we printed, as per t he web site. They were handles, 5 feet long yet this person is looking through the bags the size of sandwich bags. Obviously he couldn't find it. Yet another person that has to 'go down stairs", we wait another 10 minutes. I sent my wife to the car as she was already furious at the maltreatment so I could speak to a manager. The young man who finally brought my items speaks to a young girl and she replies "you can call somebody". Suddenly, miraculously, she comes back and claims to be "the Manager". She stands there stone faced while I explain what happened, how the checker was too busy wiping dust off her terminal to service the customer standing in front of her and how she and another girl have been standing with empty cardboard displays in front of all the checkout lanes for the last minutes having a personal conversation. When I questioned that she was actually the store manager she again proclaimed "I'm one of them". I responded, "No, I want the actual store manager, not some assistant manager" as she was obviously too young and inexperienced to be left in charge of babysitting, much less a large business. It was immediately obvious from her attitude she was NOT going to report herself for her dereliction much less her coworkers for their lack of professionalism or enthusiasm. Then another, slightly older man comes up and tells me I can't talk to to her "like that". I guess calmly stating a series of actual occurrences and facts are beyond the scope of these workers. Now, yes I'm angry and did raise my voice. "I'm going to call the sheriff". Seriously? After making me wait 20 minutes for a pick up and watching everyone walk in slow motion while 4 or 5 employees BS with each other and display every type of incompetence and utter lack of customer service? Its extremely obvious NO ONE there was really running the asylum and the lazy children were all running amok. Last point. Since I had plenty of time to stare around I noted prices. $189 for a patio heater that can be purchased from Amazon for $99. That's just an example. From 50% to as high as 300% more expensive than other common sources. No wonder the parking lot is virtually always empty. As bad as the selection is and though the prices are only a little better Do It is a much better option. Ignore at your own peril.

Expansive and beautiful location. You can park downstairs in the shade, or upstairs and get s great view from the parking lot. They have a nursery and plant section. Most Ace stores do not.

I recently visited Ace Hardware to get a new key made for my housemate and had a great experience! The key-making station was easily located just to the right of the entrance, and the keymaker was friendly and a pleasure to chat with. The whole process was quick and efficient. I'll be back.

This store #17511, is my "go-to Ace". I often shop here for plants, various garden items, holiday lights, kitchen accessories and more. I was last here on Saturday 7/20/24, and needed help in the plant section. I was greeted by Michael Cohen. He was knowldgable, listened to what I was looking for and helped me. He was very friendly and professional. One of the items I had was rather heavy. I didn't have a cart, so he offered to carry it to the cashier for me. He also waited and carried it to my car. This is the type of service I often get from Ace Hardware associates. Highly recommend this store. Thanks again, Michael!

Wanted to find out if they had a particular type of miracle grow organic raised bed soil. Called four times and finally was told that they had it. They said they would put five bags of it by the checkout stand. I came by a few hours later. No one to help me. No bags by the checkout and searched thru the garden center and found a similar product but was not what I had asked for so I was very disappointed. The people answering the phone are real nice, but would put me on hold and not get back to me for a while and when they did they would not have a clue. They would say they would have a person call me back and take my name and number but no one ever called back. The fourth call I was fed up and then lied to, so I was not impressed and will only go to Ace when I cannot find what I need at DIY. It's sad they need more knowledgeable workers and more checkstands open. They need to be trained to help better over the phone. And not to lie to customers. Don't say you will call back and not follow thru. I was not impressed.

Edit: not sure what happened, maybe a change of ownership? Whole vibe changed, big employee turnover. They also suddenly started carrying thin blue line shirts and black rifle coffee neofascist junk, maybe it’s related? Also prices do not reflect prices online.

I can't tell you how happy I am about this place. Convenient, lots of friendly staff, reasonable prices, huge parking and a million times better than Home Depot. Thank you Ace for hiring such awesome staff and making things easy to find

Not bad for me visiting to Ace Hardware at La Crescenta, Foothill Blvd location. I really like the garden, hardware items and pet supplies as well. Not busy as usual. Busy on Fridays. (Which I can tell.) Employees are friendly, great atmosphere & enjoying examining the fountains at outside the nursery area. Roaming inside the store. Just fun. So many tools to search for between 1st & 2nd floor. Fresh air. The prices are cheap & expensive. I’ll come back again whatever I want to. Best day in my life.

I’ll be avoiding shopping at ACE for a while. The workers were nice and helpful. The prices though are not what they’re advertised at all. I got a few items and when I got rung up at the register, all the items got marked up by a couple dollars each. I had to show the price on my phone one by one for each item for the gentleman to go back and change them. Maybe it’s a problem on their tech end that they’re working on. I don’t know. But that wasn’t a nice experience. Again nice and helpful workers but the prices are out of place.

Hands down one of the best hardware store in Los Angeles County. They have most everything but any serious lumber, rebar, or commercial valves. Otherwise they have everything else. Staff are beyond helpful and nice. Wait in line is very short and the store is very clean. Everything is in its place. A++++++. Thank you

Love this place. Easy parking. Nice employees. Short lines. Well stocked shelves. Just a pleasant experience. I don’t care if it costs more than HomeDepot. My time and my sanity is more important than the few bucks I save. Having said that, yes for very large purchases I still succumb to HomeDepot (unwillingly)

A great team. From the management to the staff they care about what they do and how they offer their services. I walked in & was immediately redecorating my yard based on all the delightful furniture, bbq & plant decor.

This used to be an Orchard Supply Hardware store. It is now Ace Hardware with the same feeling of OSH. A new member of the neighborhood that feels like an old friend.

This store just opened in December 2019. They have a great supply of Stihl power garden equipment. And lots of outdoor cooking BBQs and supplies. Electrical section is only suitable for small home work projects. The plumbing section surprisingly has some large diameter plumbing drain fittings. The garden department is relatively small. The front section of the store include some home decoration items similar to what OSH had. The store is very well staffed with a super polite work crew. Ace is great replacement for OSH. The cashier will ask for a contribution to some organization at check-out.
