I mean it's just a recycling place - idk what the star system is for them
Separate for plastic and aluminum and other stuff (from the best I can tell) and then they weigh each and then give you money (make sure you put your first & last name on the receipt).
Side Note: ur not going to make a fortune with this - my Costco case of water bottles with whatever random stuff I had was on $1.50, but it's five minutes from my apartment and I might as well make some money off all the stuff we use. I filled a reusable shopping bag, so maybe collect a garbage bag full of things first
I've been a couple of times and had an okay experience so I went back. The staff members were very rude, the line was moving slowly and the stench was so nauseating after waiting in line about 10 minutes I gave up and told the person next to me in line to enjoy the money from my cans/ bottles and left.
Nothing gets me more irate than showing up in the time is wrong and like I've heard a lot of people say it wasted their time.
So why don't you take two minutes help the rest of us and give us a heads up??
I get it your unhappy and gunna let the owner know?
In the meantime I would dance at your wedding if you would be kind enough to share info & facts and not just emotion with the rest of us...
AND telling me they paid half doesnt help... Where did you get more? Did you bring less here?
They pay almost half of what your supposed to receive. That's how they make their money. Based on 10 cents per item. They gave me 6 cents per item. Because they weigh it instead of counting individually.. if your lazy and don't care then you can come here.
Two times had very bad experiences. Here had so many cans and bottles, and they shorted me on the money would never go to this place again. This place should not have four stars. This place should have one star.
Poor customer service I'm come my son and didn't even were Able to help I don't will come back they refusing service person in charge has something against me I felt completed discredited I need owners number
This place was convenient so I've used them a few times...while waiting in line over $1000 worth of stuff was stolen from my truck last time...same people are always hanging around out front...very shady place
The staff made it easy by assisting with parking and being available for questions and guidance. I did the math, and the refund per can vs by weight is roughly the same, at least w/ 12-oz aluminum cans. The line only took a few minutes on a weekday morning.
When I was there two of my trash cans have fallen over and my plastic bottles fell out. There was an employee outside talking to somebody. He did not turn around to stop the help he heard them fall. He just kept talking ignore me. I will never go there again. I've seen them help other people when stuff like that happens. I guessbecause I wasn't Hispanic
Fair prices and helpful staff. It helps if you can converse in Spanish but not absolutely necessary. Grab some plastic trash cans and get in line with your recycling. Be ready by removing the lids on your plastic bottles before putting them in the receptacles. Reduce waiting by pre-sorting your glass, plastic, aluminum, etc. Be nice! There are few recyclers left in LA.
I took 11 bags of cans and plastic bottles to this place today. And they only gave me $189.00. I took 8 bags in the same place last week and got $ 225.00. I think there is something wrong.
First time there! It's like any other recycling place. I only had a small line in front of me but each person had alot of cans. Was no bother as all recycling places I have been to are like this. The workers were efficient and nice. Only bad part is not much parking which isn't the company's fault.
The employees were very friendly and helpful. The main problem is that I got half of what I should have received based on crv. Will not come again. It is not worth the time!
Super easy to take your recyclables there, the workers are upbeat, super friendly and extremely helpful! They play loud salsa music and it just makes you want to dance! Never thought that taking cans to a recycling center would be kinda fun!
Helpful staff giving you guidance on where to park and provide the bin containers. Speedy service but doesn't pay as much as other places. Pretty much in and then 10 minutes later out.
First one let you know there is no street parking you have to park on the lot or sidewalk. You go over get as many barrels as you need. The lines move very fast. I have weighed my recyclables and it's the same as what they say the way it is. Found at this place is very honest. The workers are friendly and very helpful.
Everyone who works here is very helpful and provide you with quick service! Parking can be a little sticky sometimes, but people are helped in and out of spots.
First time there I think if you have them already separated I did and the man told me to go ahead and get in line but be careful who you get in front of it did not take that long the staff was great
Great place to go now that Santa Monica Recyclables Center is closed and will be eventually be building a high tech 21st century technology center with better parking and faster service. But in the meanwhile, GO TO STIMPSONS, SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS.
Even though parking is limited. Every employee is very helpful & professional. Each time I go they always have festive music on, which makes it the atmosphere & line go by faster.
Super fast, but not fast enough to avoid a $93 ticket. $93ticket-$57 of recyclables = $36 loss. There's no where to park without hauling all your recyclables for a couple of blocks.
