they close 30 min earlier of their own listed business hours. Don’t trust this place. I drove 50 min away on sunday afternoon arrived 4:16pm and their hours posted by them says until 5pm don’t go there avoid this place like a plague.
Unfortunately they don’t accept all the plastics anymore as described in older reviews. Stopped in today, and they said they’re only accepting drink containers (I saw PET #1 plastic water bottles and aluminum cans). There is a drive through (enter from the main road) area but space is limited
Honest workers equals honest business. There are a few places that skim you a little but this is NOT one of them. The Hispanic guy who takes the weight and pays you is cool. He is a man of the people, probably doesn’t know how much I respect him.
So I just attempted to go here, I asked where I should park because it was chaotic and the guy working starts flipping out at me saying they can't take cans and bottles and that I have to wait. So I left. They did appear to be taking cans and bottles though, I think they just didn't want to serve me because I was a woman. 0 stars.
P.S. I think some of these reviews are about the recycling center IN Glendale, which happens to be outstanding. This one, on Glendale Blvd in Echo Park, however, does not match their descriptions in any way.

Started getting tired of getting cheated at the recycling center by my house.. I looked up a location with a similar payout structure and came across "Glendale Recycling Center." Not only did i get twice as much for the same amount of recycling but also Immediately I was happy with the agility of the employees as they did their job.. Gonzalo was very nice and even talked to me for a little bit.. that right there even tho it isn't relevant to business is a big positive.. they respect you, they do whatever to help you, and most importantly in one visit they showed me, not only that they care about how their business is ran, bit as well as they care about customer satisfaction just as much and that is what makes this world go round and round.. thank you Gonzalo and Glendale Recycling Center for all you help!!

Look they know what they’re doing, if you bring a lot of recycling they will scam you out of half of it. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THEM WHEN THEY WEIGH YOUR STUFF. Plus you can tell the owner is very rude and ignorant. They will say this is how businesses work no this is how you hustle people so you don’t give away to much of their money.
They do not accept electronic laptops and batteries as written on their website. Also, They did not give me an alternative where I can dispose of them.
Closes when they like, not at the scheduled time. Also, just read a response by the owner to another negative review. Seems to lack professionalism, calling people bozos. Not sure what positive response one expects when you insult the client.
These bozos close whenever they feel like it. I arrived at 4:43 pm and it was already closed. Not closing. Closed. Padlocked and empty.like they had been gone for a while. Why advertise that it closes at 5pm? Waste of time and gas!
The staff are friendly and they help to unpack/unload (just request)... scales are accurate with billing and the wait time is very less... In and out in less that 10mins..
Really bad experience they i saw the amount of pounds on the weighter but in the receipt they put less and of course they pay me less money check the weighter when you go here. Please!!
Closed well before the posted time. Laughed at by every employee in the parking lot. Not exactly rocket scientists here but need at least a bit of professionalism
Edit: Apparently, if posted hours say “Open until 5pm” , there is some sort of arbitrary cut off well before 5pm that the customer should be aware of. I must have missed that class in business school.
Very small parking lot, but fast to get in and out if you go early. Otherwise, it gets packed to the point where as you will need to be patient, or come back other day or time.
