Had a break and lights inspection and i was treated nicely and fairly. To all those poeple that are complaining about Ed's complete truck. that is why in your DMV paperwork says break and light inspection. If you have not done your breaks fix them. It is just common sense. And i got some cool stickers!

I just bought a car and the seller referred me to Ed's Garage to get it registered. Although I live in the Inland Empire, I drove all the way to Compton for service. Well, I'm glad I came here because the service was great! There were a couple of things that I needed to get done before the car could be registered. Ed explained everything I needed to do, so I got it done and came back and registration was a quick process. I also had them look at my car because it was making a noise (scraping/dragging) sound. They told me the problem and what needed to be replaced. I went home and called a couple of places near me to get quotes but ended up going back to Ed's Garage because they were the most reasonable! Other places wanted more than $300 to get it fixed but Ed saved me over $150! They are honest and have great prices for car repair. Although it's a drive for me, I'll go there again if I need any other car repairs. Thank you to Ed and Bernie for great customer service and quick auto repair.

I had an appointment on Saturday 10 at 8 in the morning and I waited 1 hour and half they never open That is ridiculous that they give you an appointment so early and don't open at the time schedule. I will never ask for service here anymore ?

Excellent fast perfect service dude company man you need to kind of registration done for any vehicle go there. You need any kind of smog anything go. There commercial trucks too good people.

Worst place for costumer service the owner not even take a minute to attend me and explain what should i do to make my car pass inspection or have the courtesy why or why not.

they are the only auto shop I trust I been coming here for more than 18 years and every time they do what they say what they will do plus they dont scam you there real people with good hearts they explain what's wrong and try to find you a part for cheap and fix it for a good price, Bernie and the gang are a good team and I highly recommend this mechanic auto shop.

Brought my Prius for brake and lamp inspection. Very nice people and helpful. The car didn't pass the first time. I made repairs and brought it back the next day. They picked up where they left and I was in and out in a few minutes. Good service.

I took my vehicle for a break and lamp inspection and I was advised by the mechanic that I needed new break shoes because they were not in good shape. I decided to take it to another mechanic to inspect the breaks. The other mechanic advised that my breaks are good and that I did not need new breaks. When I returned, I advised the mechanic what the other mechanic told me. He immediately got defensive and said that the state of CA required my break shoes to be in perfect condition to pass the inspection. The DMV informed me that the actual breaks had nothing to do with the inspection and they were just probably trying to make money out of me. I’m going to report them to the better business beaural

I have taken in my car 5 times. Each time more money. They think it's this and still same problem. They have too many cars and take way too long. Each time they kept my car for two to three weeks. Now I have to decide to take it in again. Im just tired of dealing with same issue. It's not the same place like before. The workers seem to be in a rush to fix your car because they've already kept it too long. Update 8/26/2017. So decided to give them a a chance to actually fix my car since it was still on warranty by them. Took in on 8/14/17, did not get it in until today. I drove it three miles going home. The car light by the way was still on. The car stopped working. It only made it three miles. They kept car almost two weeks and all I get is three miles. Wow! The owner was upset at my previous posting which I said that I did not lie so why was he mad. He told me to take my car and he never wanted to see me again. He wanted me to change or delete this posting. I refused.What about my warranty? He didn't care. Now here I am with a whole bunch of cash out of my pocket, a warranty that's worthless and a car that doesn't move. By the way the owner has a brand new BMW worth at least 100,000. Must be nice to have a car that works. I wish I would have never taken my car there. Now it's dealer time since I don't know if they actually used new parts or used or what exactly Mickey mouse job they did. So, did try to call to work with owner. He would not take my call or car. The posting that to call them is fake. They want nothing to do with me due to my honesty in this review. The funny part is if he would have just fixed it this last time. I would have gladly said positive things, but I don't feel the need to lie. It's beyond me. My family wants me to send him to small claims over car. I'm taking care to dealer. Let's see what they find. Stay tuned. So I did take it to dealer. Got it fixed same day. They didn't do the job right. They didn't program the new sensor. The car works great since I took it to dealer. The recalls were fixed years ago. So It wasn't that. Since I stopped going there I have had no problems. I love my car now. I always thought it was me but no it was them. They guess and have no clue!!! Be aware!! Dont trust.

Very bad attitude by owner when I questioned his guys accuracy of putting my RV in a unnecessary tight spot instead of removing the smog flag he just drove straight into and it got caught on the Roof Ac!

Love them but i see only let there pick oh take credit card payment from not far as i no i own so want Year share from them and they stay something just happen and got one job must do car to be done i spend lot cash there

If I could give no stars I would. Took my Acura MDX truck to Ed's Garage in Compton to have the transmission fixed. They kept my truck for almost a week, when I picked my truck up it wasn't fixed and all of my gas was driven out. I had to leave the truck there for another week, that means more money on a rental car. Received my truck back, drove it home to the high desert and guess what? My transmission is still not done right I'm on the side of the road stuck after paying this shop 1,900 to fix the problem and back in a rental (more money). This shop is closed every HOLIDAY AND SUNDAY. When I had my truck towed back they charged me another 150.00 saying it was another problem, guess what? That wasn't the problem either! It's still the transmission because again I'm stuck on the side of the road with the same problem. Took it to another shop they put it on the machine. Finding? Your transmission is done ma'am, the oil is burnt called Ed's Garage and you already know...the shop was closed! And has been for the last two days which were Wednesday and Thursday in October where there are no major holidays other than Halloween. I'm a single mother who needs her truck for school and work. I just need my truck fixed the right way.

Awesome service and knowledgeable staff! I've had trouble finding an honest mechanic so many times and I'm glad I've found Ed's Garage. Most recently another place could not fix the headlights on my car after my car had been salvaged. Turns out they also do the full registration service! I did not have to step into the dmv at all and they gave me my plates and stickers on the spot.

This place is the worst auto shop i have ever been to, wrong diagnosis and no honor or honesty. I took my Audi in for a timing belt job and it didn't end up being the problem at all, but even before they could work on it they told me to bring it Monday, on Wednesday, so i did. When i got there at 8 am when they told me to bring it they told me that they were not gonna work on the car and to take it somewhere else. My response was " so you guys have no word," the mechanic who seemed to be the owner said to me, " No, then i guess we don't have a good word" Then he sent us off, after i had waited a week to get my car maintained. ps. those pictures they have up i feel are bogus too, not the friendly ambient that they portray it to be.
