I would not recommend this spare part shop. They frequently provide the wrong parts, which causes unnecessary delays and frustration. When you try to return or exchange the incorrect item, their staff is rude and unhelpful, often giving unprofessional responses.
This is a complete fraud. We took the part from them and they said that if it is not correct, we can replace it but we cannot refund the money. But when we came to replace the part, they gave a straight answer and this complete fraud is going on in Bakersfield California
They have some parts available at very low price, but they have a problem they seem to be very busy attending phone calls and staring at their computer screen, leaving customers piling up and waiting, maybe they are in the wrong business.
DON’T BUY HERE!! Sold me a bad alternator for 80$ I went and tested it at O’Reillys and it was bad. Doubt I’ll get my money back since they don’t refund electrical components. What kind of auto dismantler doesn’t test parts especially an alternator only takes a few minutes. It even said on the website it was “grade a”. Yeah grade A$$.
STAY AWAY! These people are scabs. Typical junkyard community. I was supposed to get a 113k motor from a wrecked vehicle, drove 2 hours to them and get a 125k motor. They didn't even tell me hoping I'd drive back home.The 125k motor was an impound but probably a core motor. When I looked at the receipt and it said the other motor, I asked them what's that about and they said they couldn't find it but I was still getting a good deal. Me and a friend rebuilt it and saw it had a blown headgasket. We didn't return it within 90 days because we rebuilt it. Well, after installing the motor 2x after having machine work done at multiple machine shops, it's still leaking coolant. Save your money, pay extra and go to LKQ. It takes alot for me to leave a bad review but they deserve it. They completely capitalized on my far drive and not even telling me until I looked at the receipt.
Pure Laziness. They have the parts but want the easy money. Owner should make note of the bad customer service. So much potential yet employees are flushing money down the drain. And overpriced. Shop around!!
Terrible service. Always says they have parts available for pick up and by the time we go pick them up the parts are not in stock, still in the vehicle or the vehicle is crushed. Coincidentally it always happens when im helped out by anna. Dont waste your time!
YOU BETTER NOT TO BUY STUFF FROM THIS DISMANTLING PLACE!!! Drove all the way from LA to get a transmission and the shift tower is not even shifting properly which means you wont be able to shift into gears. Its the same issue as my transmission has and that problem is huge. You dont have to have an engineering degree to know that all manual transmissions shift tower gotta shift freely. They could check stuff like this and not wasting people time and money for gas. They are selling bad stuff and they cleaned pretty good to hide the oil leaks and stuff. Buying parts at your own risk!!!
do not do business with these people. ordered a 1995 mitsubishi GT engine from them. got the engine, installed the engine. would not run. had to pay mechanic $835.00 to get it to run and it had wrong parts on the engine so that seems sketchy. so i was out another $835.00 for repairs, and 2 months income from selling car to move on to my next project. tried contacting them to resolve issue, and heard nothing. now getting a bill from YRC freight for the shipping when i didn't authorize any charges from YRC freight. garbage company to work with. buyer be aware
TRASH! I was told they had 3 different parts to choose from they even texted me a picture. I drive all the way there to purchase 20 minutes later they don't even have one to choose from. Don't trust them they don't even check inventory. They say leave a deposit? We called you 20 minutes before we left to get an entire door to a GMC, you said you had 3 doors. Don't make up an excuse for laziness not checking inventory and wasting customers time and money. Pretending you sold 3 GMC doors in 20 minutes? Stop it.

Ehh. Sometimes they got the parts and sometimes theyget em for u .. BUTTT when they do they are over priced .. ill rather order a new part if its almost same price as the used part that im getting from there..
Really 1000$ for a used truck bed.... I definitely recommend driving the 30 min out of Bakersfield and getting them for 175 - 250 at literally every other wrecking yard I've gone to.... Ridiculous pricing these sound like they're making up numbers as they go
Awesome place! They have a very large selection of vehicle parts at fair/reasonably priced! The staff was very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend Mendoza auto dismantling.
Bought an engine for my car and had a mechanic shop do the installation. They go to start it and it wont turn over because something internally is messed up. I call up Mendoza and they will get me a replacement engine no problem. Okay, I understand things happen. But they will not cover the labor for the mechanic to install the junk engine. It clearly states on the invoice that management can approve reimbursement on labor, but they dont.
So, I had to pay the mechanic bill twice because I used Mendoza's.
They were very courtious and friendly. They have been the only place in town that has had the parts for my truck. If you need parts for older cars and trucks I would call them first
Johnny went above and beyond getting me the right part. Started out looking for a rear end for a Nissan pick-up on a Friday. He stepped up to get it delivered to me on Saturday (even though they're closed, he made it work). Delivered it to the City of Orange. Turned out the part was mislabeled and was the wrong one. Called him Monday morning, he got right on it and got me the right one delivered to Orange by 1 PM. Sometimes mistakes happen but these guys are on top of things. Great job Johnny. Definitely keeping you number handy! Thanks again!
One of the worst place where for any business, I spoke to person "Johnny" on Monday regarding A/C compressor and he quot price at $50 with $10 core, Fine with that but next day went to pick up the part the same item is for $85 and no core wanted. Him saying he cant go lower and its exact off the website. I Also mentioned to him that I was referred to this place by Higgins Auto Parts and them also stating that they have the part for $50 since they all share the same hub for retail purpose. I don't mind paying any price they ask obviously its there item but they need to learn to stand by their stated price not just whatever like at time.

I purchased a used 59k Engine for my 2011 Ford Fiesta at Mendoza Dismantling.
I’m still waiting for the mechanic to finish installing the engine. Can’t wait to go to the lake to test drive it.
They found the transmission I needed for my Honda and I cant complain about the price because other places were charging me more for labor. My car was ready the next day and ran smoothly no check engine light on and it shifts nicely. The guy who helped was really informative and to the point never left me wondering on anything and im overall pleased with the work and transmission. Thanks Mendoza Dismantling ill be getting more things from this place in the future
Needed parts for my crew cab Chevy truck went to LKQ and was very disappointed then my father in law suggested Mendoza’s and have a great experience they had a very organized yard and all parts cataloged. Great prices and customer service I will definitely be going back in the future
Brought in a truck to have the transmission replaced, We got called in that truck was ready for pick up. Took the truck for a test drive and the check engine light came on, Brought it back to get it scanned and a plain answer was given “ That has nothing to do with what we did “ Me Knowing that light had not turned on before We brought it in. And on top of that the reason of the light was something they wouldn’t fix there. FIRST & LAST TIME this pace gets my business. So much for customer satisfaction guaranteed.
They always fix my car right the first time. The employees are always gentlemen and they always answer every questions I have without losing patience as well as stay transparent about the parts and methods they use.
this place is awesome! All the parts are cataloged they're very friendly and honest. They also have another division that does auto repairs and so you can actually buy the part and they can install it for you if mechanics are available.
Exceeded my expectations. They had the transmission i was looking for at a steal of a price with VERY LOW MILES ($300+ tax for a a650e lexus transmission with 68k on it out of a 2003 gs300) clean packing because I chose the local pick-up option driving up from San Diego. The transmission was wrapped up, on a wooden mini-pallet wrapped to keep it attached to the board for transporting...... no leaks, no strong trans fluid smells.... couldn't have been happier. Hoping that once the transmission is finally installed by Transmission pros of escondido, that my revision to this post giving a review about the product purchased is the same... so far thumbs up.
