This is a very late post and I do apologize. I am a woman of my word and said I was going to review. John was the best tow truck driver I could ever get. Back in the beginning of August me and my boyfriend broke down in Bakersfield and we had a puppy with us we just bought. We broke down in the middle of nowhere. With our dog. It was 100 degrees stuck on the side of the road. We are from San diego so 4 hours away. My roadside said it will take 4 hours to get to us. We were in a dangerous spot on freeway left side fast lane area. Highway patrol comes saying we need to move. He said we couldn't wait for our tow truck we are a hazard to the road being where we were. And it was dangerous and scary. So he called us tow truck of his own. And her comes John to save the day. He agreed ro take us to san diego when he was only supposed to take us off freeway him and his company worked a deal with us. He pulled over hours away to let us get food. We were tired and hungry hot and irritated and John made our ride so much better. And I really appreciate this man. From his conversations to his nice gestures and making sure we and our puppy were safe and good. And poor John had to drive all the way back by his self. He is truly a life saver and an amazing man. I learned about his family. Him as a person. He actually became my friend that day. Someone I am glad to have met. Thank you John for being you. And to yhe company you truly have an amazing and caring man working for u. He went above and beyond. And sorry it took so long to write this. But I did not forget u John never will
DO NOT RECOMMEND. They denied my tow and asked $180 per hour plus time taken to get back to their dock. A COMPLETE RIP OFF I had someone else pick it up for half the price in about 10 mins loading time WITH NO ISSUES
I would not use this company based on the fact that on August 15 while traveling the speed limit in the right lane of westbound Hwy 46 near Lost Hills Road, we had an encounter with a Golden Empire Towing truck. He passed us on the left going way above the speed limit, tossing up a rock from the road that hit our window and cracked it immediately. Reckless drivers are not who I'd want towing my vehicle.
Carlos needs a raise. Very kind, considerate and very efficient . He did a great job getting loaded as fast as he could so I could get my trailer hooked up and horses moved asap. To me, getting those horses off the road is my number one concern, seemed to be his as well. 10/10 great guy.
Golden Empire Towing was very responsive to our call. After I called our emergency roadside services and they were not able to resolve my need, I resourced to Golden Empire via a friend that works with them and a tow truck was dispatched immediately. When the driver arrived, he made sure we were out of harms way, secured the area from heavy traffic, and our vehicle was loaded onto the tow-bed carefully by their professional Driver within a short time, and a few minutes later our vehicle was dropped off at the location we chose. I highly recommend their towing service for the promptness and professionalism they delivered.
Always a bummer to need a tow, but this company made it super easy to get home safe at a reasonable price. My driver Carlos arrived faster than expected, strapped my motorcycle down with great care, and took us safely back to my apartment. From calling and requesting help to getting back to my place took about an hour total. Thank you!!
My wife and daughter had a flat without cell phone reception. Frank found them and followed them to get a new tire as the spare was also flat. He even calls them several hours later to make sure they made it to their destination

Daniel our tow truck driver was friendly, courteous and very proficient. He went out of his way to inform us of another potential problem with our rv we should have looked at. He knew we had a small window of time to get the vehicle to a repair shop before they closed and made efforts to ensure we made the deadline.
I recently had my car towed to this yard, and I would not recommend their services. I called ahead and gave them a two-hour notice that I would be arriving at a specific time to pick up my car. They confirmed that someone would be there. However, when I arrived, no one was present due to a supposed “miscommunication.” I ended up waiting 45 minutes before a worker finally showed up.
To make matters worse, I was hit with hidden charges. There was a $150 “gate fee” for picking up the car after hours—something that was never mentioned to me over the phone. If I had been informed, I would’ve understood, but being surprised with this fee, especially after the staff was late, felt unfair.
On top of that, the worker spent time casually chit chatting with another employee while our tow truck driver waited for them to move vehicles around. Very unprofessional.
Lastly, my car arrived at the tow yard at 11:30 p.m. on Friday. I picked it up at 9:45 p.m. on Monday—less than 72 hours later—and was charged for four full days of storage. That kind of billing practice is unreasonable and feels like a cash grab.
Overall, the experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and overpriced.
I was highly impressed, the service was amazing..! The driver was very respectful and knowledgeable he answered all my questions and Concerns… All I can say is we need more people like that around…! I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
Late in the day and pouring rain, very low custom car with no parking brake or brakes. They were quick but not "stress me out" or "jack my car up" quick. Knew what they were doing and took the steps to do it right...even with the rain. Didn't lose any bumpers or get hung up on the frame. Thanks again, Shane P

One of the best tows I’ve ever had for being quite a low car the gentleman was very professional and didn’t end up breaking my carbon splitter. For having a low car it’s quite hard to find a tow you can trust. What a great experience! I had a axel on my travel trailer go out on way home from Socal on I5. I called Golden Empire to tow my trailer with a flatbed trailer to a bakersfield rv repair shop. They were to me within an hour and Jared did a great job getting the trailer up on a large flatbed. They communicated well and did a great job getting me off the side of the road!
10 from dispatch to recovery 3.5 hours awesome job ... literally saved @ least 100k under hazardous conditions that's @ least 10,000,000 cannot thank them enough . You get what you pay for ... I delivered on time 900 miles later same calender day...
Hands down the most knowledgeable and skilled tow truck/wrecker operator I've met in my entire life. They have dedicated night shift crew light and heavy trucks. He explained to me after I asked, what he was doing when he was hooking up my truck and I learned quite a bit. I believe his name was Sam. He also had open communication with his coworkers to help them while he worked which is awesome. Sam if you're wondering, my oil filter housing was cracked on the back side pretty bad, which is why there was soooo much oil! Thank you sir, it was a pleasure and I appreciate it.
