The team at South Lake Tahoe Towing is amazing. We've used them a number of times and they always overdeliver with friendly, competent, timely, and well priced services. Most recently, we had a flat tire over a very busy, 3-day holiday weekend. We tried changing the tire ourselves on our newer vehicle, only to realize that our spare and tire had dealer installed wheel locks and the dealer never gave us the key so we were 'stuck'. Despite the fact that it was a national holiday, they picked up their office phone AND replied via messenger quickly and said they could assist. In less than 30 minutes, I was in and out with the problem solved and we were back on the road. EXCELLENT service. Last but not least, the owners are just good people that really care about the community. Remember the Caldor fire? While most of us in SLT were under forced evacuation orders, South Lake Tahoe Towing company stood their ground and provided incredible service throughout Tahoe while everyone was forced out. Additionally, they did "Facebook live" updates about the fire and conducted neighborhood drive-thrus so homeowners could "see" the status of the fire and if their home and neighborhood was impacted. Class act and 5-star all the way. We appreciate you and the entire team at South Lake Tahoe Towing!

Had a flat tire, they came and swapped it for my spare very quickly. I was back in the road within 30 minutes after making the first call. Thank you!

Manny and Manny to the rescue! 740 miles we traveled in 3 days and the highway 50 grades just were too much for our tow rig. We smartly, pulled off before we cooked our Expedition. Manny and his Son Manny brought the GMC beast to do the final haul over the pass. Great guys, very careful, and truly like helping folks out. Thank you Manny and Manny 2nd!!! We got inspected, fueled and in the lake by 1:30pm all thanks to South Lake Tahoe Towing👍 doing the final haul over the pass.

I was stuck in a driveway of a weekend rental for 3 days trying to figure out how to secure a tow company. After I contacted South Lake Tahoe Towing, they came out within few hours to get my car loaded up. They needed a second smaller tire truck since the snow was su high but Ryan and Manny quickly got my car onto the flatbed and towed me an hour to the repair shop that could work on my car. They were super helpful and friendly. I've never met a nicer and more responsive towing company. Thanks guys!

I got an irreparable flat near stagecoach at Heavenly. I did not have good cell service - all I could do was make calls. Dispatcher said that I had to pay online and would not accept my credit card over the phone. While explaining this to me, he had me hold to call off the driver that was coming to me. I am writing this not to disparage the company, but in hopes that they will make changes such as getting a cheap card reader to get payment from people. Additionally, I tried to use my insurance - they said they found a company for me but that company would not accept payments from insurance. Judging by earlier reviews, I am guessing that they had contacted South Lake Tahoe Towing. If not for the kindness of strangers, I would not have made it out of Tahoe before the storm. There have been and will be other people who get stuck and are not able to make online payments.

So this review is strictly to the comments i've seen online.. I am a tow trucking business down in the valley and I have read nothing but good things about south lake tahoe towing.. As you may know there is a lot of offered recovery groups on facebook and I hear them talking about South lake towing still recovering people from the Cold! and during this storm ive had to turn down more than I could handle. Most Tow trucks in the area are incapable of being out in this weather!@ To hear that this company is still out here recovering people is amazing 👏 I TIP MY HAT TO YOU!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. I got into a minor accident in the snow which resulted in my car being unsafe to drive any further. So I had to stay pulled over in the middle of nowhere. First, I'll start out by saying Manny is awesome. If not for him, I'd probably not be quite as happy with my experience. I feel like the process for getting a tow truck out to you is a bit questionable. You pay all this money before a truck even arrives and it initially feels a little sketchy. They sent me a digital invoice to pay, but mind you, we are in the mountains. Cell reception is minimal and most people don't have mobile wifi. So while trying to get the invoice to load, 30 minutes passes and I almost lost my place in line because I couldn't load, and thus, couldn't pay the invoice before he gets another call and chooses to go on that job. Overall, while waiting in the snow, it took 3 hours to get a tow. That 3 hours I waited cost me $700+. That was the painful part. The redeeming quality was I was supposed to take the car to Carson City, which would've been at least an hour away. Manny, being local had the bright idea to take my vehicle to a local shop to be worked on, conveniently located down the block from an enterprise rental. So he helped shave a considerable amount of time off actually getting to a rental and he shaved time off of getting the ball rolling on my insurance claim. I appreciated his insight as I've been through hell with insurance companies in the past. So thanks, Manny. But maybe work on that initial process.

Amazing experience! Our Tesla had a flat and less than half an hour after I called, they were here. They have a flatbed tow truck which is Tesla/AWD friendly. The driver is super friendly and reminds me of everything I love about Tahoe. Beware of some of the non-local towing companies advertising around Lake Tahoe, the first company I called (Sunset Towing) kept telling me to pay $75 more otherwise wait another hour....

Got a flat tire and was recommended by AAA to call Manny due to our car being too low for their tow truck to load. Manny was very kind and quick to tow our car to a local tire shop. Highly recommended!

On December 15th, after visiting my daughter in the hospital in San Jose, I was on my way back home to Lake Tahoe when I ran over an object on the road that caused a flat tire. I was approximately 9 miles from Echo Summit. I was so stressed because it was going to be dark in an hour and the temperature was dropping and a blizzard was expected soon. In addition to my 2 daughters, I had my 2 granddaughters one of which is 5 years old in the car with me. I called my insurance AAA and was told my situation wasn't an emergency and therefore they were not sending a tow truck and for me to call another towing company. Needless to say, I was furious because I pay extra for roadside assistance. The AAA agent gave me the phone number of another tow company which was useless, because they were located in Placerville, and they wouldn't come out that far. The girl did give me the number of another tow company. I called Manny at South Lake Tahoe Towing and he was so kind and understanding. He was working on another vehicle but promised to come as soon as possible. By this time the snow was coming down heavy and the temperature was freezing. I had to turn on my car for the heat to warm up the car. Manny kept in continuous contact with us letting us know where he was at all times. When Manny arrived, he was apologetic for taking so long. He changed my tire and got us back on the road. I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for Manny. Thank you so very much for risking driving up Echo Summit during a blizzard to save us!! Oh, as for AAA, I AM CANCELING THEM!!

Hartford Insurance contacted them to help me with a flat tire. After waiting 1.5 hrs, estimate I was given, I called and was told it'd be another 4 hours. I rescheduled for 10 a.m. the next day. They confirmed. I called at 8:30 a.m. to make sure they had my information. They said yes, see you at 10. When they did not show up I called yet again and was told that they had no record of this appointment. I spoke to Kayla who was kind and helpful, but the two men I had spoken to left me hanging as I was trying to get to the hospital where my friend was dying. These people don't deserve to be in business. Thank you Kayla. I canceled their "service" and paid out of pocket for a flat repair.

The dispatcher obviously cannot have a phone conversation with anyone but white people. Also, they appear to be involved with some kind of scam to get you to pay up front for your covered towing. Because they know you’re stranded, they just keep hanging up on the insurance provider. Then they tell you a truck is nearby, and you could be towed, but only if you’re willing to guarantee payment. I have no doubt they take both payments. Beware of this guy. If your insurance books this provider, they will call you and tell you they need your guarantee.

South Lake Tahoe Towing was right there to help us with a really difficult situation. We were stuck on the highway 50 grade leaving Lake Tahoe. We were in a very bad location. They came to our rescue, brought us all the way home, and handled the experience with utmost professionalism. Manny and Jeff were reassuring and gracious throughout. I would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you SLT towing for your service! Great company!!

This place is a scam. They towed our car and by the time we got to the tow yard, we already owed over $600. There was a foreign couple who was trying to get their car back while we were there and they were told it would be $1000. Their car had been there 30 minutes. They charged us $150 to get into the car since we couldn't get the car back (rental). One of the worst tow experiences ever. Literally, thousands of dollars to get the car out. Does that seem reasonable or fair? Hardly.

Manny was very helpful In helping My friend and I (two women) deal with a very difficult , angry mechanic. He was very concerned with our safety and went far above what anyone else would do when you need a tow. He stayed with us the whole time . He called us later to ask if we were ok.......I would definitely give him 5 stars...super nice and got the job done fast....

Provided amazing service! I locked myself out of my car and he arrived in less than 20 minutes and was able to unlock my car within minutes. I highly recommend you use their service he was very friendly and helpful!

Hands down the best experience I've ever had with a towing company. I am visiting from out of town and managed to get my vehicle stuck in the snow in a remote area late at night. Manny at South Lake Tahoe Towing agreed to come get me out of a jam and gave me a very fair price as well. On top of that, he is very friendly and genuine. Highly recommended.

A life saver!! Found us quickly. Had a phone charger for us to use in the cab. And bore with us while we figured out how to tow our vehicle back home over 350 miles away. And as the final topper, he allowed us to park our broken down car in his personal driveway for 2 days so that we could finish our vacation knowing our vehicle was safe. Went above and beyond and we will be forever grateful!! <3

Manny is an amazing person. When my truck broke down at Pope beach he was sent by USAA. He would have been on site within 20 minutes, but then he offered to come whenever I wanted so that I could still spend time at the beach with my family. He was very courteous to me and my family, offered recommendations for local repair shops, and was genuinely interested in helping us during our inconvenience. Strongly recommend!

I was involved in an accident on March 16, 2018. I was blocking the roadway, at the top of a hill. My insurance called this company and was given a 2 hour maximum wait time. Tow guy showed up in a flat bed, said he couldn’t get to me. Said he would go and get a bigger rig and be back. Never showed back up. I tried to call several times, but couldn’t even leave a message, cause the voice mail hadn’t been set up! I sat in my car, for over 7 hours, with two kids. It was a Good Samaritan that pulled me out of the road, NOT the towing company that should have! I would never recommend this company! I had received a text on March 16th, saying my estimated arrival time was 3:50 pm. Good Samaritan didn’t pull me out till 9:07pm. Then, today, I receive a text saying my ETA is April 5th at 10:27 am...3 weeks after my accident���. I’m a local, been in Tahoe my whole life..had this not been an emergency, I would have stuck with the towing companies that I know care about their customers. Company is saying it wasn’t them, even though I have call logs with the business number calling ME, I have a voicemail from “Manny”, and I have the tow truck driver on my rear cam. All proof that it was the company, yet he is stating I am lying.

I called South Lake Tahoe Towing when my vehicle left me stranded. They arrived promptly, stayed in communication with me prior to arriving, and provided truly exceptional customer service. They were incredibly professional and friendly. The service I received was excellent and I highly recommend them.

When we broke down on the side of the road Manny was there quickly to scoop us up and make sure we were able to get home safely. Would use services provided by Manny any time I break down in Lake Tahoe area. This guy should be rated as an expert in Towing and Customer Service.

My car was smoking like crazy due to a careless mistake made by a dealership servicing, too afraid to drive my car anywhere I called these guys up for a towing service to get my car back to my house. They helped me fix the mistake made by the dealership, and got me back to work in a timely manner. In the end I didn't even need the towing, but they went above and beyond to help me out in a crazy situation. I didn't believe genuinely good people still exsisted till I called these guys up, 10/10 would recommend.

Went to Lake Tahoe with the family for some snowboarding had an awesome time until we started having car problems and stuck in the snow... turned into a nightmare, we were so happy to find South Lake Tahoe towing because they showed up rescued us out of the snow and recommended and took the car to a near mechanic shop in town... thanks again South Lake Tahoe towing! Highly recommended.

These guys are super awesome! I was stuck in my driveway because of ice and they were so helpful. I found their business here on Google Maps and called them up. They came right away...in about 15-20 minutes and towed me out of the driveway. And I needed air in one of my tires, so they took care of that too. They were polite and professional. They're good guys. Hopefully I won't get stuck again, but if I do, I would definitely turn to them for help.

This company is fraudulent scam. They arrived to unlock a car through an insurance call. They charged the customer $100 cash there on the spot with out an invoice and the customer paid it directly. They did not gain entry to the car, but instead damaged all 4 doors. When they were called the following day by the customer's parent they refused to speak with them and insulted them and hung up. Do not hire this company for any reason. They do not have a California business license- searches for "South Lake Tahoe Towing" come up blank on the state's search site.
