I wanted to repost to be more clear about what happened. While driving in traffic with my father, there was a honk that came from a vehicle behind us. The owner of this company then sped up alongside the driver’s side of our vehicle and assumed the honk came from us—even though his vehicle was behind ours, making that impossible. He became aggressive and made physical threats toward me. I’ll admit that in the heat of the moment I could have handled the situation better, as I matched his energy, but that does not excuse his behavior. In response to my original post, he claimed he was only trying to get clarification about whether the honk was directed at him. Again, that explanation doesn’t make sense given that he was behind us. He also stated that I called the office and used inappropriate language. I will admit I did call the office in the heat to report the incident and express concern about an employee acting this way (apologies on my end). Only to be told that the individual involved was actually the owner of the company. It is extremely concerning to see an adult especially a business owner in react with such aggression over something as minor as a honk in traffic. Threatening physical harm in a public setting is completely unacceptable and reflects very poorly on this company. Sorry for the long post just thought I’d be 100 on my end

Ricky and Oscar are the best. I’ve never gotten stuck in 35 years in Lake Tahoe but it was a narrow little road. They had accelerate up a hill and then as soon as you got over the crest of the hill, the road turned, even though I wasn’t going that slow it kind of slid into the embankment and a boy was it jammed in there these guys knew exactly how to get it out. You couldn’t just pull it out you had to then they use a stout tree to then move the vehicle sideways otherwise my vehicle would’ve fallen right down a cliff.

My snowmobile got stuck in a snow covered river. We got completely soaked by ice and water trying to get it out. Up Country Towing met us a couple hours later at the sno-park with their snow track rig and pulled out my snowmobile in a few minutes. We were so lucky to have found them!

Oscar was beyond awesome! Car had a sensor go out on a very curvy road and we were stranded. Up Country was very fast, very responsive, super professional, took excellent care of our vehicle and got us taken care of. Best of the best! Owner was super great as well! Highly recommend!

Mickey, the driver, was excellent. Right on time, gave 2 arrival time updates on his way, gave us a ride home, and wouldn't accept a tip. If I had to do it again I'd force a tip on him. Also, Louis, the owner/manager of the tow company was easy and fair to deal with. They both improved a crumby situation for us.

Oscar my life saver!!! I was desperate because the rental car company had contacted me saying that they might only have time the next day. How could I leave the car in the middle of the snow until the next day if I had a flight that day? Anyway, Oscar came as quickly as possible and did an excellent job, leaving me in a safe place to drive my car. A 10 for him and the company.

Fast, friendly, professional, and best towing experience I've ever had! Thanks to Oscar ? He was fast getting to my disabled truck and towed me back home(over 50 miles down off the mountain)! He kept us safe and the truck was secured. He turned my horrible day(call in to work/oil everywhere ?) around! I am very blessed today thanks to this amazing community with people like Oscar with Up Country Towing?

Lewis was fantastic! Very accommodating and kind. Could have made me feel stupid since I had gotten myself into an unnecessary situation (rear wheel drive in the ice and snow), but was very calm and nonjudgmental. I felt so reassured!

Oscar was great at communicating with us and was on-time. Lewis was also a big help with getting everything booked. Overall a very good experience and we highly recommend Up Country.

This towing service, and the driver, Oscar, saved .... my ... day!. Toward the last 6 miles of a 95 mile off-road motorcycle ride section (day 3 of 4), I dropped my adventure motor bike (F850 GS) in soft sand/dirt, and somehow broke the kill/starter switch. Dead bike. With barely a mobile signal and after a few "can't do" responses, I came across this towing service. Oscar, the driver, drove down the 6 miles of dirt, rocky road, and the two of us got the bike on the flat bed. Further, he personally made calls to help me find a place to leave and potentially repair my bike. A full package. THANK YOU!

Totally recommended! I got help immediately and amazing service. Lewis and Oscar were life savers, they take the care of their customers really serious. They delivered my car safely from Tahoe to Sacramento, gave me updates and followed instructions. Super respectful and professional. Again thank you so much guys ??

While vacationing in Carson Valley area, we got a flat tire. It was Father’s Day so my daughter and I went to town to get a few things to celebrate her dad. When we got back into the car after shopping, the tiger was completely flat from a huge nail. I contacted my Roadside service the ETA was gonna be 1 1/2 - 2 hours. My daughter and I were contemplating changing the tire ourselves, Though I had a torn ligament in my hand and she had a broken foot. Out of the blue, I received a phone call from Casey with the tire company, asking if we still needed assistance. He said he happened to be in the area vacationing with his family and would come and help us change the tire, Since it was a holiday, and the company was extremely busy. It was such a an amazing blessing. Thanks again to Casey.

The technician was friendly and reassured me that he would get my car unlocked. He was very professional and took his time to tell me what he plsns to do. I would highly recommend using Uptown towing. They made me feel like they really care about me.

I needed a tow for my 1967 Mustang that was having brake issues. I hate people towing my car because they tend to be oblivious to the damage they can do. Mike called me when he was on his way to get the full story and called me to let me know that he was 10 min out. Complete professional and friendly. He loaded my car in a quick manner and secured it for towing. There was an issue with the car during the trip that had nothing to do with Mike. With that being said, he was patient and helpful while i was dealing with the issue and did not complain that i was holding him up. Once it was unloaded, he gave me a solid handshake and he was off. I hope to never need a tow but i know who to call when i do.

He was probably the best person who does what his job is…Roadside assistance that I’ve ever had. Very quick, arrived on time courteous & respectful!! Very satisfied and impressed, you know how we used to get service before 3 years ago and the change that has happened to customer service. He’s definitely old school and in a good way. Lewis you’re Awesome and if I ever need service again I would hope to be so lucky to get you again. Great job!!!!???

The driver, Michael P., was extremely friendly and made the bad situation into an easier one. Getting a tow is not fun. But he kept things light and was very professional. He even helped me get my car into a better position after removing it from the tow truck.

Micheal P was excellent! Quickly got my car in a tricky slope secured and towed safely on steep MTN roads. Would definitely recommend Up Country Towing...quick and efficient service!!

Mike arrived in a VERY reasonable amount of time (after placing a battery jump request). He was respectful, courteous & had a great attitude & a stellar smile, too. I highly recommend that Mike be commended for his work ethic & a positive reflection on your company.

Christian was awesome! He was extremely professional. He was friendly and loaded up my truck so quickly. Breaking down is no fun, but Christian helped lessen the frustration. Totally recommend this company.

My truck decided not to work in South Lake Tahoe so I called for roadside assistance and was told by the computer they would be there in 55 to 84 minutes. They were there in 20 minutes. Thank you!!! Lewis got me going in about 5 minutes. Totally professional and friendly. I’d recommend Up Country Towing if you’re in need of help.

Amazing respectful company. We were stranded and left for hours on side of road with 5 little children. We got ignored by a tow truck company prior to this one. Up Country Towing came through and kept communication top notch ?. I appreciate them so much!

Lew was a true life savor. He communicated with us throughout our entire ordeal, which allowed us to feel comfort, while we were stuck in the snow overnight. He was extremely polite, and most importantly professional. He went over and beyond, and extended himself to accommodate us. He made sure that we got back home safely, and that the vehicle was safe to return to the road for our long journey ahead back to the Bay Area. After he rescued us, I witnessed this man multitask to the fullest extent as he answered an extensive amount of phone calls to assist and route, his drivers to rescue many other vehicles, who as well were stuck in the snow. He’s professional, and extremely experienced. Lew kept us entertained with full conversation and much laughter which comforted us as we were extremely frustrated from being stranded out in the snow. Not only did we make a new friend, but he made us feel as if we were family I highly recommend Lew’s tow service, Up Country Towing. A true hard worker, genuine with a big heart.

These guys got me out of a bad situation way faster than i thought. They took no time to get to me and the driver was very careful with my car. Good number to have saved in your phone. Great company great service highly reccomend.

Best experience I’ve had for getting a tow! His name was Casey he got there in a timely manner was super kind and walked me through what he was doing because let’s face it I don’t know much about cars he even gave me advice on what could be wrong with my vehicle! I was having a bad day but a friendly face and a kind help made it better. 10/10 I would recommend this company Up Country Towing and I’d ask for Casey if you need anything! Thank you!!
