Even though they are not known as the place with the helpful friendly folks they definitely had nothing but friendly folks which got me singing oh oh O’Reilly

Ordered a low beam bulb online and it was ready next morning which was nice. However, I asked for help replacing it (a service OReillys says they provide) but I was told since there was only one worker there I'd have to come back in a few hours and ask again. Not a big deal, I did it myself, but kinda frustrating for those that need this service. There are so many people looking for work in this city there is no reason for a store to be so understaffed that you cant provide the services the chain offers. Only bad management has a store so understaffed they cant perform the duties of their job. The team member that helped me was friendly, but clearly swamped with a line and no help.

Very helpful staff, especially the manager. They’ll help you find any part. No questions asked on returns.

I felt the man I was speaking too did not want to help me. I left there more annoyed then when I came. Didn't get nothing I needed solved or resolved

Abbas is from Nepal and works at the store. He really stands out with his extraordinary nature. He is not only incredibly helpful but always treats everyone with courtesy and respect. His kindness and dedication make a real difference, and he is truly a special person.

OReilly doesn't honor their battery warrantee. The battery in my van went bad, so I took it back to the store where I was told it's still under warrantee - all they had to do was test it and if it tested "bad" I would get a new one.... of course they had to charge it first (because it was a BAD battery!). So now I'm in the store for 30-45 minutes and they finally put it on the tester and told me the battery was good and they wouldn't give me a new one. I KNOW THE BATTERY IS BAD!!!! It's not a simple task to replace this battery in a Transit van - one has to remove the driver's seat, and one doesn't do that unless on really has to.... I took it to my mechanic to test, and of course it's a bad battery. He told me that OReilly doesn't put enough of a load on their testers to make the test look bad. Thus, they do not honor their warrantee. I got a new battery from his supplier and will never return to OReilly for anything. If I could give zero stars I would, but one is unfortunately the minimum.

I go to both of the El Cerrito locations, and not a single time have I had to return an item, plus not a single time were they not able to source a tool or part that I needed to keep my rides alive. Over the years, they've gotten me parts for 5 Fords, a Saab, 2 Volvos, a single Chevy, Mitsubishi and 3 Volkswagens. Keep up the awesome job that you do. Thanks, KJ in El Cerrito

Ronnie and Ed were incredibly helpful when it came to changing my car's battery! they not only provided with complimentary battery charging, but when it turned out I needed a new battery, they were more than happy to help me replace the battery, they gave me tools as well as the best and cheapest purchase options. thank you!

Got my battery tested and charged here by the younger caucasian short haired gentleman. Great and super friendly service and will be coming back for when I need a brand new battery!

Stay open the hours that are on your door or don’t post them. What a bunch of lazy workers. This is just sad. 15 minutes before close in a store that require no closing duties like cleaning a kitchen after close it pathetic. You should be ashamed of the management.

Came here looking for touch up paint and unfortunately they were out of stock. The store was clean and organized somewhat. I could easily find the paint section and it looked like they had lots of stuff for your car but maybe specific stuff might be out. Their inventory said there was one item left but no one could find it. I even went to another close by location and it was the same out come. At least the employees were helpful.

I just went in to grab some new battery terminals for my van. I went in and Nancy helped me pick the right ones. She let me know they don’t install them there but gave a recommendation of a mechanic nearby. Nancy went above and beyond to help me for such a small purchase, she even came out to look at my terminals to make sure I bought the correct ones. I felt so supported and taken care of by Nancy! Please give Nancy the biggest raise ever O’Reilly’s. She makes your store such a wonderful place to visit!!!

This place usually has most of the things I need and usually don't have to go anywhere else. I usually come here for my shine rags, clothes, air fresheners, motor oil, floor mats, electronic accessories, etc....And on top of all that, I have never had a negative experience with theirs employees or their service.

I purchased new windshield wipers but it was too close to closing time and no one could install them for me. (THEY ONLY HAVE 2 ON SITE EMPLOYEES AFTER 5 PM) At first they were not able to find correct wipers for my vehicle on the floor but found some in their warehouse. I needed to wait several days to find time to return to store since I had to drive another 20 min from home to return. When I came back I was immediately given a tech person who did a fabulous job as my old ones were damaged and this needed tools to remove old ones! They did a great job and now I can see again! Thanks for great service.

I was having the worst day imaginable...for reasons unimportant, here. I needed a tag light bulb for my van. Leticia was the associate, and she was there by herself. Calls are coming in on the phone. I was on of perhaps 10 people waiting to be served at the counter. Watching her seamlessly navigate between the phone and in-person customers while managing to keep both moving at a fairly brisk pace lifted my spirit. And, this is the real kicker!, she did it all with a genuine smile on her face!! Please tell me she's a manager at this store! If she isn't, she needs to be in line for the next possible opening. Create one for her, if you must!!

The sweet gal that helped me went out of her way with information, smiles, and kindness. The way it should be. I borrowed a truck from friends, mine was in the shop. Needed a new battery, wasn't sure which one. She came outside with me, looked at the vehicle, found the right battery, went and got it for me. On a dolly no less. Few minutes later i returned with the core. Best in store experience ive had in years. That includes any store that comes to mind. Damn near wanted to ask her on a date!

Letitia helped with the purchase of a car battery and windshield wipers. In the midst, she experienced technical difficulties as the line got longer and longer but she maintained her professionalism and thorough customer service. My questions were answered and I was valued as paying customer.

Man this store has some of the most solid service and great people behind that counter, hands down! I went in there because my battery had died and they helped me out so much all while helping other customers at the same time I mean everyone was on the same page. The lady there helped me with recharging my battery, while ringing up 2 customers at the same time and picked up 2 phone calls in between I am honest to God. The gentleman there was respectful and well mannered shouts out to you guys. Yaw helped me get back on the road and make it home safe before the sun went down and I appreciate you all!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Lupe and John were. I was in town for the weekend when my top radiator hose sprung a leak. I called the O'Reilly's Auto Parts store in El Cerrito late on a Saturday evening; they gave me directions (my hotel was about 5 miles away) and said that I could knock on the door even if they had closed. We arrived just before they were closing; they looked up the correct part and even came out in the parking lot to install it for me. In a day and age, unfortunately, when people just do the bare minimum, those two went above and beyond and even assured me that they were happy to help. If I ever need any auto parts in this area again, they certainly have my business. Truly grateful for their assistance and kindness!

My right headlight was out. The young man at O'Reilly found the proper light for me, and also put it in. Amazing service and personable sales staff. Thank you O'Reillys for the peace of mind --two working headlights-and pleasant experience.

Had a dead car battery and called around to see who would help me install a new one. Auto zone put me on hold for 6 minutes and I hung up after AAA told me OReillys would install. I got there and the service was amazing. The guy was friendly and helpful and I was in and out in 15 minutes.

So, they say they open at 7:30 AM on Saturday morning. It’s now 8:06 AM and they’re still not open. I called and their employees told me that they won’t be opening for another 15 minutes. I’ve got things to do today. I’ve been here since 7:45 AM. This is disappointing at best.

My experience was great. The salesman was knowledgeable in exactly what spark plugs were needed for my car as well as other parts I needed. I'll definitely go back to O'Reilly anytime.

Great service. My work truck heater hose blew off the nipple at the firewall. Lost a lot of coolant had just enough to get to O'REILLY'S. Purchased coolant and needed additional water Letitia was very helpful in assisting me. At the store on San Pablo avenue El Cerrito

I only go here when out of necessity, which seems to be the way I feel about a growing number of east bay businesses. Let's see: Should I drive over and order a part from this brick and mortar (they don't trust you enough to order a $10 part, and they don't trust their own employees to take your card over the phone), snd then drive back over and pick it up in a couple days, or should I just order it on line and get it delivered? Oh, and online is cheaper! Plus, the staff there is just shy of condescending. They say what they're supposed to say, but with a sneer. Hey - If you don't like people, don't work retail!

This is a good store, as auto parts stores go, very good stock & supply, can order to find odd parts. They loan tools for specific uses, like me-- bearing pullers, nut splitters, suspension tools, just leave a deposit & return. Knowledgeable people, they have some have very 'hands-on' experience with cars. Returns ok, and ideas for substitutions. Prices, average. Tool & parts quality, above average.
