Monument is a small shop, one of many here in Livermore, but the one that our mechanic recommended to us when our car battery died and we needed someone to bench test it to see if it would recharge or if we needed to replace it. The staff there was great and took our battery to put it on a charger and see if it would take the charge. An hour later, it was obvious that it would not (a battery from Costco that was just under 3 years old on a limited/pro-rated 3-year warranty so not much use in returning it there).
Fortunately, the top of the line AC Delco battery at monument is a 3 and 1/2 year warranty and fully covered if the battery doesn't last for the full 3 and 1/2 years. I feel much better about this purchase and glad that we visited monument car parts for this issue. Thanks team!
Monument Auto parts is a good store they know a lot about their parts ,and equipment very knowledgeable plus they do a really good job finding parts for older vehicles. I like this place that's my favorite auto parts store.
I have been going to monument for 20+ years. Great service and great prices.When you want the best go to monument , I always get the right part the first time unlike other places.

Always the best place to get parts in town. The guys there know cars and car parts and don't waste your time asking if your car has 4 wheel drive when you ask for a set of wipers.
Great auto parts store, always have liked monument. I bought an engine mount set (3pcs) for 2007 ford fusion here, and they had it in stock. I only needed 1 of the 3, and was able to return the 2 unused parts with no hassle. The guys behind the counter are pretty real nice, and can answer most of your questions.
This place is THE WORST. They sold a faulty part that never should've been packaged and would've been a major hazard if installed. Took hours to get another and they told us they'd call when it came in.... but they didn't call and when we called to check back after the estimated time frame, they incorrectly told us it wasn't there and then turned around and called back later to say it had been. They refused to deliver the part even though the car was disabled because of this issue they caused and when we returned to get the new one, not only did they have an attitude and say that besides the major flaw, that the part looked fine..and?? The rest doesn't matter when the wire is cut in half!! No apologies, just attitude and an entire wasted day. Avoid this place at ALL costs.
Every time I've gone here I've been able to easily get the parts I need regardless my own knowledge or lack therof what exactly I'm looking for- the staff are always ready to help customers find just the parts needed, and they're friendly too!
Most parts in stock with great experience at the counter, quality parts priced low, after using all 3 local parts stores I find myself going to monument first regularly
Pretty good autoparts store. If you actually need help, I recommend taking with Milo. The younger kids don't seem to have the car knowledge the parts counter guys used to have.
Always a good place to find your parts.
If I can walk in and find all of the parts to do a brake job on my 1962 Cad, they have my vote.
That is not the only parts I have purchased from them over the years but that is an extreme where there was NO Body else that had those parts.

When I brought back a certain part that was bad, I ended up arguing with the rude manager or inept person behind the counter.
This place doesn't deserve a first star!

Customer service clerk was a miserable, rude, condescending schmuck. I bought an AC compressor and told him I didn't want to buy another part that was recommended in order to get a warranty he became extremely irritated and rude. I will never go there for anything again. From now on I'll go to O'Reilly or Autozone.
If you work on your own car like me, you have to know that Monument Car Parts has the best prices in town. Friendly staff eager to help and answer questions.
Bought 2 fuel filters for a ram 2500 cummins for $150, one was a oem mopar and the other a wix filter. Thought that was high but it was the first time replacing them. Happened to check it out online and found both(oem mopar)for $90 to my door. I got ripped off. Bad. Buyers beware. Should have looked before i installed and took them back. Try to support local guy but wow!
Place is a joke, ive given these people years of business and the manager and another employee harassed me after they gave me the wrong transmission filter and I returned it, he admitted his catalogue had it wrong, manager walks away running his mouth, check there other yelps these guys dont deserve to be in business
