Totally enjoy the drive! My mother and significant other loves the beans and cornbread they purchase in the gift shop! I recently purchased grits organic and I absolutely love them! We had lunch very small menu considering it was off season! But never disappointment

One of my all time favorite Mills. The iron bridge is amazing. The mill has been fixed up and has 3 floors (restaurant at the top).

Beautiful landmark, worth visiting. The store inside the mill is nicely stocked with jams, flours, candy. Happy to see they brought back the cafe on the 3rd floor. It's always a treat to visit, a bonus if you get to see a demonstration of the old mill working, knowing about the history and everything the place have gone through over the years

Cute little side of the road attraction, we enjoyed the unique items in the shop and the cornbread was delicious.

We drove 30 miles specifically for a meal of beans and cornbread, only to find out that they don’t serve cornbread during the off-season. Even though the limited menu lists cornbread with every meal, there was no adjustment in price when it wasn’t available. When I asked about daily specials, we were told they don’t offer any during the off-season either—again, something that would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time. . One more thing to be aware of is the restrooms consist of a vault toilet which may matter to some visitors. Overall, the experience was disappointing and we left without ordering. Not worth the long drive, especially with the limited menu

I like to bake, so I love going to stone mills. I stopped by and ended up getting some freshly milled flour and jam. It's out of the way, but definitely worth a stop if you want some freshly milled flour. Very cool little spot.

Very neat place to visit with lots to see. We walked the retail store which is full of wonderful stone ground flours, we also found home made carmels and scented trivets. We walked down to the river nd found some cool rocks. It's a beautiful place to explore

We were over in the area and decided to stop by since I had never been there before. Such a pretty place. Enjoyed looking through the store. It’s off by itself, so not a lot of other businesses around it. My mom and dad used to go to craft fairs here years ago and love them. Glad I got to finally see it. The Cafe had just closed, so we didn’t eat. Really enjoyed our visit.

An interesting historic mill with 2 floors of shopping and a cafe on the 3rd story. Very picturesque!

Fantastic place! Definitely recommend. Lots of neat things. You must get the beans! The beans and cornbread are amazing. Even if you don't think you'll like them, you will get them.

My little family enjoyed our trip out to the mill! There was so much to do on the property from shopping, walking the bridge, playing down by the water, finding shells on the river, and even lunch at the cafe! We also found some AMAZING Arkansas honey, I highly recommend for a day trip!

Very beautiful drive through country side to get there, and the location is very pretty. The shop is nice, and the food in the cafe is perfectly fine. Fair warning, the bathroom is an outhouse up steep stairs.

Nice Old Historic mill, check out the giftshop, Plenty of gravel parking. Be careful on the one lane bridge there were alot of tourist taking pictures.

We drove out from Fayetteville to hike the Pigeon Trail Loop. We were not aware of this stop and happy we came upon it. The general store is fun and well maintained; the historic Bridge is a site to see; and the mill is a great historic site to visit. On the road out there is also a small pull off to greet an amazing view of the river and valley.

Cute country store 🤠 In a very unique setting next to a very unique bridge 👍🏻😀 It would have been even more unique if the mill was actually operating and they did hourly demonstrations or something 🤔 Maybe reenactments. Perhaps they do that on special occasions. And an old timey oven to make the bread.🍞 I'm sure they could sell it right there!

Such a cool place tucked away from the city. It's all free unless you dine there, or buy something from the general store. Bring some water shoes to take a walk across the river (rocks will hurt your feet)

An amazing piece of history! Neat old-timey gifts and some cute goats outside! The cafe left a lot to be desired… and is on the 3rd floor, so there’s stairs involved. ..they could really turn things around if they invested in an espresso machine and had some tea. I heard there were hiking trails, but didn’t see any- it was nice to walk around the property and you could also go down to the stream and take a dip!

We visited War Eagle Mill while on vacation to Eureka Springs. It was absolutely beautiful! The site of the Mill is just stunning. A real working Mill (and an outhouse). They had a couple little goats on the property that we pet while we were there. The 1st and 2nd floor were made up as areas for shopping handmade goods. They had lots of different homemade canned goods, pottery, goats milk bath and body products and other items for sale. The 3rd floor was a Cafe which was only just opening when we were getting ready to leave so we didn't get the opportunity to eat there. The staff were very nice and friendly. I would recommend this place even if you had a moment to come and sit on the porch swing that is off to the side of the Mill and take in the scenic views. It was just so peaceful and pleasant.

War Eagle Mill is one of those places you can go to relax, fish, read, wade in the water, eat at the café, shop at the store, or enjoy their yearly craft fairs. They are full of history and beauty. They offer multiple outdoor seating options (about 8 chairs and a swing) plus the entire outdoor area around the mill. You can just exist here without the weight of the world resting on your shoulders. They have a water wheel that still works and you can watch it from inside the store and outside the store. The fall craft fair brings in vendors from all over. It's a multi-day event that is full of treasures and unique finds along with great food and snacks. It's one thing you don't want to miss!

How long can you hold your breath while you are peeing? No, seriously, how long? It is all about the drive not the destination. Whether you come in from the north or south, if you are a biker or sports car enthusiast, you will enjoy the winding curves. As a bonus the scenery is amazing. Right now, after all the rain the Arkansas hills are lush, green and decorated with Ozark life, past and present. Rusty trucks, tractors, chickens and ducks. Big red barns, fields of hay, cows and white tail bucks. Pristine streams, roadside fruit stands, rickety old bridges and littered road sides, where lazy folks dump their broken washers and fridges. And then you arrive at the famous, but disappointing War Eagle Mill. A three-story hull of an old grist mill that has been gutted of all of the historical significance. Not a visible grind stone spinning. No bolter, screens, chutes or hoppers. All gone. On the top floor beans and cornbread for sale. The second floor, candy and the first-floor souvenirs for the tourist. Lots of stuff, much having nothing to do with the historical mill. On the first floor is a modern corn grinder, that may be powered by the still turning water wheel. That’s it, that’s the mill. The mill is very well known for its annual craft fair. I am not sure how they handle all of the people. And that brings us back to the strange question. How long can you hold your breath while peeing? Unless you are a very experienced Japanese pearl diver the answer is, “not long enough.” For your convenience and relief, at the gravel parking area there is a homemade outhouse, a pit toilet. It is a very poorly designed outhouse pit toilet. In the 90-degree temp today it was the worst, most rank, malodorous steaming closet I have ever used. The flies that were lured into the outhouse in hopes for a tasty meal, misjudged the conditions. They couldn’t take it either. Hundreds were lined up on the inside of the outhouse door, desperately waiting to escape when the door was opened. Hold your breath and try to keep that beans and corn bread from spewing out through your nose. If you are going, start practice holding your breath now. And….Remember it’s the drive not the destination.

Love going here!! The Café was okay. They have changed the food, so your basic sandwich type food now, but still good. The store has so many cool and unique things.

Literally a zero effort tourist trap selling mostly goods you can find in a convince store, cracker barrel or online. Mostly empty on all three floors on a good day with only a few photo angles of note. Not worth the drive in the slightest

The kind of old times mill and expansion bridge that brings back memories, and connects new ones. The food service is excellent for this austere local; southern style beans were great. The wildflowers and new leaves were out at the end of May, making the visit all the more remarkable within this forested region.

I really enjoyed our visit to war eagle mill today. The water was pretty and flowing smoothly. People were fishing all around the bridge. The mill itself had friendly staff and reasonably priced items. We had lunch here and for three people it was $40. That’s with drinks. The chicken salad sandwhich came on a croissant or bread. I chose the croissant. It was so delicious & easy to chew. The chicken salad itself was a simple yet delicious mix of real chicken and mayo. We also had the meatloaf which was so delicious and yes, it’s made with love at the mill. It’s not that store bought stuff. Along with a cute little mini loaf of cornbread. Lastly, the chef salad. It was pretty delicious. Nice crisp lettuce and veggies served with your choice of dressing. We opted for the tasty ranch dressing. We definitely recommend here for a nice casual day trip whether for lunch, fishing, or just taking a stroll.

The mill is a lovely place to visit and be reminded of how one component of food is processed. It also has a lovely gift shop and place to eat. The guys at the restaurant are friendly and the grilled chicken sandwich was fantastic! My friends who had the club sandwich reported it was also tasty. The cobbler and ice cream were a huge generus portion. The bridge, flowing water, and water wheel are such amazing sounds and sights. I also met 2 very cute goats on the way to the toilet facility in a rustic outdoor building up steps. It was all part of an experience to remember.

Enjoyed our visit to the mill! Service in the cafe was very friendly and efficient! Sat by the window and could look out at the water and bridge. Beautiful decorations and unique gift items.

Definitely worth finding the mill off the beaten path! It is a beautiful place with a lot of history. The store had so many items that were unique (jams, soaps, candles, cornbread, etc). It was definitely a "favorite" for our trip! We would love to come back to try their lunch specials one day!

Quaint and fun- the mill wasn't working on our stop today but we enjoyed the views, people, shopping, and food. The cinnamon roll was as big as a 9" cake! They also had locally made soap, food goods, and gifts. Such a fun and historic stop! Beautiful for family pictures as well.

We stopped off here while traveling through. The gift shop on both floors are rather small, but we spent about 30 minutes walking through them and another 30 minutes checking out the area. There was several fisherman by the water catching fish, kiddos swimming near the bridge and some families enjoying a picnic at the tables. There's a cafe upstairs but we didn't have time to eat. The mill working on the inside is very cool to see in person, especially for kids! We walked across the bridge to find a trail down to the water and a cool log cabin. There's also an area that appears to have fairs and events there. Very peaceful down by the water and a great backdrop for photos!
