I’ve been a long-time customer of O’Reilly Auto Parts and have relied on this location for years. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this store was very disappointing due to how it was handled at the store level.
I called ahead and spoke with multiple staff members who told me to come in regarding a battery issue. I drove a significant distance based on that guidance. Once I arrived, the store manager, Trent, dismissed the situation, spoke down to me, and implied I didn’t understand batteries or vehicles.
I fully understand battery warranty policies and was not demanding anything outside of them. My issue was the misleading information, wasted travel, and unprofessional management behavior. When I asked for escalation, I was told to take a picture of the regional manager’s number on the door rather than being assisted.
I did contact O’Reilly corporate customer care, who acknowledged that this was not how store managers should operate and addressed the issue directly with the store. I appreciate corporate stepping in, but the in-store experience was still unacceptable.
Because of this, I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere.
My car was flashing a battery light. I went here and Jerry (nice guy) helped me figure out it was the alternator. He scanned it for free and put the windshield wipers on that I purchased. Thank God I was able to find the issue and not get stranded. The store was clean and every employee was great to work with. My auto parts store from now on!
Excellent help as always. Took care of checking my battery and other things he noticed. I left feeling very well treated by polite, competent staff. O'R is my favorite,

Very knowledgeable and helpful employees!! I was just helped today by "John" He was sooo pleasant and patient with all my questions! I'm learning to do alot of my own maintenance and he was so kind in helping me. I highly recommend Chino Valley O'Reillys! Thank You John!!
Expensive, bought oil filter for my truck and was over 17.99 exact same oil filter at Walmart was under 12 dollars, pissed! I already buy my oil at Walmart because it is A LOT cheaper.
Gotta Love O'Reilly! They have just about everything you need for your car and knowledgeable staff that's really Nice and Helpful! They even put wipers on your car for you and read the codes for the check engine light!
Unfortunately the manager isn't any better trained then some of the other employees here. I ordered a set Monroe Re-Flex strut assemblies for my SUV and was very specific about this brand having done research. I was told they could be ordered and in the next day. At no time did the manager say anything about not having these struts. When I came to pick them up they were O'Reilly brand and not Monroe. The same manager who placed my order said that they only had gas struts and couldn't get the ones that I ordered even though she had originally placed the order for these. At no time during the ordering process was this mentioned or discussed as an alternative. She knew I was moving and had already had a shop appointment to install them. All I got was an apology. She did not take any responsibility for not knowing what she had in stock or offer an alternative for my inconvenience. I would recommend other part stores that will stand behind their word or make it right when they fall short.
The teller was very rude and was very smug. I asked a question about ensuring I was receiving the right parts, and he blew me off and laughed and said it's surely right. I had to return it the next day because it was the wrong part.
Knowledgeable staff and very helpful. Love how the staff understands "we're all broke these days"! And they make sure you're getting the best deals available.
Punk dude overcharged me & gave me wrong parts Friday at quitting time. Same puke does it all the time. Like to see him terminated & reimburse every customer he rips off!! Worthless convict employee. Talking with corporate now. Lol
First the woman that waited on us was very rude! Then she gave us WRONG parts! It's over a 60 mile round trip for us! Then when we took parts back the guy insulted my friend by stating to her " You did bring back the new parts and NOT the old ones didn't you!" NEVER will I EVER shop there again! NAPA now gets ALL my business!!
Was helped by a gentleman named Jeff & wow to the exceptional customer service experience. Normally I would of gone to Autozone but thanks to him I’ll be bringing our business back here again instead. Very appreciative. Easy 5 stars.
I wanted to replace my headlights. Ken at O'Reilly was helpful in giving me what I needed and showing me mother options. He went the extra mile and was kind while doing it, I appreciated my experience here.
I moved to the outskirts of Prescott going on three years now. Chino Valley is still closer of a drive then Prescott from my property. Wasn't expecting much from a smaller town. They have really surprised me. Keeping a larger inventory then I expected. The items they haven't had. We're order promptly with no hassle. Even brought in a item I wasn't sure I even wanted just in case the next time I was in the store that they would have it in stock. Way to go guys.
Generally have everything I need to maintain our 2012 JKUR and 2017 Ram 2500 Cummins, and carry most repair parts too. Just did an alternator on the Jeep, they had it in stock.
I cant say enough about TARA at Chino Valley and others working there. But, She went out of her way to find a match for coolant hoses I needed. So helpful with a great attitude. Pay her more $. Lol
While I was being waited on a call came in and was put on hold. A few minutes late they decided the call was more important and I was left standing there waiting for them when I could have been out the door. The place needs some good help who knows when and when not to take a call over a paying customer.
I needed a new battery. I was promptly helped & the battery I wanted was in stock. It was installed for me and they also checked the alternator & starter. Of course it was lightly raining but that didn't matter to the O'Reilly employee. I will be returning.
I needed to get a new battery for my 2016 Acadia. They were very courteous and willing to meet my needs! Unfortunately, the old battery wasn't located in the engine bay, but under the floor in the 2nd row of seat. Thus due to their policy they weren't able to install it for me, a more professional install was needed. I thanked them for their help anyway!
Very clean and organized store. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in their field. If it is not in stock they can have it for you, in most cases, the same day. Great at diagnosing our vehicles, from our import Honda to our Dodge diesel these people are great!!
These guys are very helpful. It is a well stocked & clean store, great parking and a convenient location on the south east corner of Centre & the 89 in Chino Valley. I watched the guys help a young woman & a baby who needed oil for her car-really cool.
It could've just been the day perhaps but most of their auto parts stores that I go to I have a pleasant experience. This particular O'Reillys the gentlemen at the counter were neither friendly nor helpful and it appeared as if they were on the phone, not with a customer but chatting with a friend or some such. I needed to have my check engine light checked and I understand that they needed to wait until someone was available to come check it for me , however there were three of them at the counter and only two customers waiting to check out. So I was given the excuse that they were just really busy and it would take a long time until someone could come out and check my check engine light.
