Desi very kindly let me show up at his shop last minute to perform a test on my car during a long car trip. I needed a small part that was unavailable in Heber, so he ordered the item at an auto parts store in a bigger nearby town. He went above and beyond and didn't charge me for the visit. If you ever find yourself needing a mechanic in Heber, AZ, I highly recommend Desi and Son.

I needed front and rear brakes quickly while I was camping on the Rim. Desi helped me out, and I was back on the road within a day. His price was comparable to repair shops in Phoenix, as was the quality of his customer service. Additionally, his shop was clean and organized, and that's usually a good sign of a quality mechanic. I had an issue after pulling over on the highway 277 - a metallic stick got stuck and was rubbing the ground. Tank God, I was only 2 miles away from Desi whom I found on internet. I had a better experience with a mechanics ever! Desi was so kind and helpful. He put my car on the car lift, saw what was going wrong and removed the metallic stick, with willing me to pay for his intervention. Cannot thank him enough for getting back on the road.

Desi was so kind and knowledgeable- we can’t thank him enough. He helped us out last second when we noticed coolant leaking from our radiator but we couldn’t pin down the source of the leak. Although he was already booked for the day, he still helped us out by doing a pressure check and recommended a new radiator cap which solved the issue! He took the time to thoroughly check the problem and explained every step and possibility of what the issue could be. If you need a mechanic in the Heber area, I would highly recommend Desi and Son.

Honest, kind and a real gem in the desert. We had driven up from Phoenix and had felt our rotors acting up coming down the mountain. We brought it to Desi, and he took time to test it out himself, and work the car in for us so that our way back down the mountain would be safe. The price for the work was beyond fair, and we have total confidence in his ethics and his work.

Desi was truly our hero when the thermostat in my Jeep went out. I was only 2 hours into a 7 hour road trip when my vehicle started overheating and after frantically calling shop after shop, Desi came to the rescue. Even though his lot was full of other vehicles, he saw we were in a bind and went above and beyond to get us all fixed up. I would give him 6 stars if I could!

Hero of the week, Desi quickly diagnosed and replaced the blower fan motor and its relay which chose to die (along with the ac) on a hot day while we were camping on the Mogollon Rim. Really fortunate to have found him on a Google search. He's good, so incredibly busy, but kindly made time to work my old Honda Odessey in, replaced a faulty valve in the freon line, recharged the ac and also changed out the messed up cabin air filter. Tested all kinds of operations on the vehicle as he worked to make sure we'd have a safe ride. On top of that, he's a really nice guy, saved our vacation.

Desi was very understanding, constantly went above and beyond for us when our car broke down after hours on a Friday. He still showed up a few minutes later, explained our options, told us how long and what price we could expect, and even drove us to a pizza parlor after to wait for a ride since we had no way of getting there ourselves. He even called a couple days after the repair to make sure we got home safe. Definitely going back to him!

I highly recommend Desi and Son! I was scheduled to leave Heber when I found out I had a cracked radiator. Desi went out of his way to get my car into his shop and repaired so that I could continue on as planned. I appreciate the way he went above and beyond to help me. He did an amazing job! Desi did an amazing job with our Caravan. We were up visiting and had some issues and he was gracious enough to squeeze in the repairs and did an outstanding job! Highly recommend him!

Desi came through in a pinch! Broke down in Heber on a road trip and he waited after closing hours for us to get the car to him. Everyone booked for a couple weeks out, but he diagnosed and repaired the car and got us back in the road by the next day. He also told us where to order some food and find a place to stay for the night. Friendly, thoughtful, and all around good community mechanic.

Desi really went out of his way to help us out. Our battery died and he came out late in the day at 6 and brought us a new battery even though he doesn't normally do road side assistance. He is very good natured and trusting. A very genuinely helpful person.

Desi was great!!! I should sell this old car but I’m sentimental about it and Desi took good care of it and me. He got it running better than it has in years, got it done 20X faster than I expected and went way above the standard customer service. He made great recommendations for later repairs and really listened to my needs and my budget. 👍😀

With a summer home in Overgaard, I’ve had to find a new mechanic to trust outside the Valley of the Sun. Well, that job is complete. I was on vacation from San Diego to Bison Az. I ran into a little trouble with my vehicle, which was scary because I felt so lost. But because of technology, I was able to take care of my problem. I looked up auto repairs and really just went with the first name which was Desi and Son auto care. I hit the jackpot, Desi was kind professional and I felt at total easy which was very important since I’m a single woman. He was able to squeeze me in so I could continue my vacation. It was myself and my 8 year old grandson so trust was very important, I drove off a Happy Costumer and my Honda Pilot was ready for our drive home. Thank you so much

Desi took great care of my parents when they were up for a visit. Their truck needed a new alternator and Desi had it ordered and installed in less than 2 days. He saved them over $400+.Very professional and honest! Highly recommended!

We blew a radiator hose & thermostat on our truck while camping in the area. Went to Desi’s shop hoping he could help us but he was backed up a month... yet he didn’t just send us on our way. He took the time to discuss our options which resulted in him ordering the necessary parts which were delivered the next day. Then he guided my husband through the repair (luckily my husband knows engines). He helped us avoid towing our truck & RV, and got us right back to enjoying our camping trip. He was very kind to us.

My son recently broke down on Route 260 in Heber, AZ three hours from where we live. I immediately googled mechanics and car repairs in the area. Desi was the only person who answered the phone. The car was eventually towed to his shop for repairs. Desi allowed my son and his two friends to remain at the shop while waiting for me to show up. Desi was very kind and professional. He kept me aware of the issues and progress of getting the car fixed. Desi did an amazing job fixing the vehicle. He later checked in to make sure we arrived home safe. Honestly, I wish Desi had his shop near by as I would use him every single time we need work done on a vehicle. Desi was kind, professional, trustworthy, true to his word and did not overcharge for anything. I highly recommend Desi for auto repairs.

I’m not from around here, so when my battery died at the post office I didn’t know what to do. My internet on my phone doesn’t work so I couldn’t look anywhere up to get help. A very nice guy getting his mail noticed I was having car problems and gave me Desi’s business card. I called up Desi 30 minutes to his business closing and he was on the way to give me a jump. While waiting there every person that walked by asked if I needed help. I thanked them and told them a guy named Desi is on his way. Every time I would say that the Kind person knew exactly who I was talking about and was relieved I was in good hands . After he gave me a jump we went to his shop and he was very professional, thorough, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend his shop to anyone that already doesn’t know him. I was very grateful for his service.

Desi is my favorite 'go to' mechanic for a couple of reasons. First, his place is just a short distance from where I live. Second, and most importantly, he's proven himself knowledgeable and highly reliable on everything I've had him do, from keeping my vehicles in excellent running order to coming through on a difficult to scope out and repair 'wouldn't start' issue my son had with his Cherokee Jeep. Above all Desi is a great guy, not only a great mechanic but a straight shooter when it comes to detailing what needs to be done and coming through with results that are difficult to duplicate elsewhere, in particular at big volume automobile dealer service departments.

My truck is my baby. Desi takes great care of her for me. He has done several jobs on my truck that other mechanics were unable to perform and or botched. He Has always been upfront with me about the cost and the time it will take. He gets the job done and I have had no problems with my vehicle afterwards. I trust him more than any other mechanic I have used that includes the dealership. Keep up the good work Desi.

This place is amazing! I go here every time I need something done on my car, he has NEVER let me down. Desi has the best deals when it comes to getting your parts and getting the job done right. I have sent many people his way as well and they love his work. I remember when "Max Powers" was working with Desi, he was a bad mechanic. Desi was trying to teach the guy and help him out financially but Max was too lazy and didn't care about the satisfaction of the customer like Desi did. I'm so glad Desi fired Max. It's a shame to see Max slander Desi's business like that.

Desi is a great guy and does great work! He is honest, fair, and trustworthy. I've taken several of my vehicles to his shop and have been so pleased with the work he has done that I've referred my friends to him as well. He is my go-to for any mechanical work I need done!

Desi does great work and I would recommend him to anyone! He's worked on 3 of our cars and has done great work on all of them. He even drove to our kids school to check their vehicle when one of his mechanics mentioned after we left that the brake fluid was still leaking. It ended up being just a loose screw, but Desi made sure it was tight and filled the brake fluid up. His willingness to go out of his way to make sure out kids were safe impressed me and has made customers out of us! We're excited to have a great mechanic in town and will definitely be back!

My wife and I always have great service here. When Desi works on our vehicles he always goes the extra mile in looking things over. We did have one incident recently with the tire being loose, however when we called Desi he got us in the shop same day and personally fixed our vehicle. We are from the valley and make the trip up when we need work done. Would recommend to anyone. We did also just hear he opened a parts shop and we look forward to even lower prices on parts!

I have been here almost twenty years. During that time I've had less than than good experience with the other places.
