We have the membership, and got to use unfortunately this weekend at Havasu. Called and was sent Captain Kevin. Arrived within 20 minutes. I was in amazement of his skills!!!! He found us. Towed us into site six, dropped me off to get trailer and assisted getting the boat onto the trailer.
From start to finish, everyone was super nice and helpful! No complaints on this service! AAA for the water! Well worth the investment! (PS Mrs Captain Kevin, you are one Lucky Lady!!)
Four stars only because of the price. Which they THROUGHLY explained before hand. There were no surprises. It’s just VERY expensive without the membership. $130 per year. Which covers tows 100%. I will have this in place before returning to Havasu.
I hit a sandbar. I was able to get myself out but burnt up my impeller in the process, headed up river. I called TowBoat US on a Sunday afternoon and a very kind and patient lady answered in the second ring. She was helpful in verifying my location and dispatched the towboat immediately. Our captain arrived within 30 mins and towed us back to site six. He was very professional and knowledgeable. There is a high degree of skill that goes along with this job and he was an expert. He got me back and helped me trailer my boat. He did not just drop me at the dock. Overall it cost me $435 and some change.
Beware of this place. They are not out to help you, they will take advantage of you! They will tell you one price over the phone & once they have completed the service they want to charge you an absurd amount that was not discussed prior to the service & I'm not talking a couple of dollar it's hundred of dollars extra!! They have lots of hidden fees that they don't tell you about until the service is done & then they will tell you that there is nothing they can do about it since the service was already completed.
This company LIED to me!!! I had a problem with my jetski this past weekend in Havasu and was stuck in the middle of nowhere with no service. Thankfully some nice folks towed me to a nearby dock. From there I called TowBoat & was told they would tow me back to Pirate Cove & it would take 4 hours, with a cost of $1,200, $300/per hour. When the captain arrived, he made sure I was aware of the $300/per hour cost. As shocking as that price is, it was even more shocking to find out after the tow that I owe them $1725. I told the captain that I was ready to pay $1,200, as discussed over the phone. He threatened that I couldn't have MY jetski back unless I paid him 1725. He claimed that I had to pay for his ride back to the dock. Neither the lady over the phone nor he told me about this hidden fee INTENTIONALLY lying to me about it. This is not something you forget to share. These people are THIEFS and LIARS and I do NOT recommend this company!!!
Not helpful an anyway. They were rude and laughed about needing a light. I thought they were suppose to be helpful but really there in it for money not to help. They are a joke.
You hope you never need it and if you do you wish you woulda got it. I asked how much today's tow would have been if I didn't have insurance... About three times as much as I paid for towing insurance. You can't beat it and if you like to be on top of your game it's the way to go. Got me all the way back to my slip before dark. :) This was Lake Mead BTW
Used them twice, no issues. Got to us under 30 minutes. Highly recommend them. It's worth the $100/yr. Without it no matter what they do starts at $250 just for them to show up, then 250/hr after that. We got stuck on a sandbar one time, would have cost $800 without the coverage, instead was free (or included). The pricing without coverage is kinda ridiculous.
The lady on the phone was extremely rude..we broke down in havasu & needed a tow back to Jack Smith launch..told me it was going to be a charge of 1k take it or leave it..i told her to keep it we'd figure something elese out ?? nothing like screwing pwople over when they're already in a bad spot..smfh #THEIFS
Troy made a bad situation better. Nice guy, helped put gas in our boat to see if that is the reason for the break down. Unfortunately it was not and he towed us to Windsor at a fair price
Troy was our Captain today. We got stranded with issues with our drive on our boat. We luckily were able to get reception and call in within an hour we were able to towed.
Troy was super friendly and was able to get our boat back on our trailer. Super grateful for the membership.
We for sure will always pay for this service!!

I really hate the review stuff because your boat broke down and you were inconvenienced and had to pay a fee for being towed now its everyone elses fault. I have used them before and did not have a membership so was charged alot but the boat we had problems with was towed in and the captain was nice.
if I could leave no star I would. I miss vessel assist in lake havasu. I know it's the same company, but the new people that work for them are low rate pos. I had to have my boat towed today, 1 hour later driver showed up with attitude, towed me back to site 6. I explained I have to change trailers off another truck in the parking lot as the truck would not pull this boat out, we had changed trailers earlier to launch a bigger boat with my truck. so he said I'm not waiting I have another call, and left me just inside the no wake zone, and took off. so I had to swim my boat to docks then to the trailer. either way I'm signing with seatow. boat us in havasu is worthless, spend the few dollars more and go to seatow.
Paid $200.00 for a jump start. Was told that he would come by Windsor boat ramp to make sure my family was ok. Well boat died again and float to boat dock luckily. But we still needed to get the boat to the ramp. When we called we were told he came by and we were ok. When we said he never came by to ask if we were ok. They told us they would have to charge another 200.00. They really should be ashamed of their treatment of customers. Do everything you can to avoid them. They will screw you if they can.
