Purchased an expensive Exide Gel battery which lasted about 12 months before dying. This store is about 25 minutes from my place which is far if needing a ride due to a dead battery. I called Parts Authority in advance the same morning, to give them the specific battery model and asked them to check stock because I needed to come in to get a replacement. I then asked the worker to physically check stock, not just in the system, which they were resistant to do, but finally agreed to after pushing. She said they had 3 of that model in stock at the Scottsdale location. I got a ride there only to have the staff member tell me they have none in stock and haven't had that model in stock for months. She then proceeded to blame me, the customer for not calling ahead of time, when I called and spoke with her 2 hours prior. Horrible customer service. Irresponsible for a company like this to hire staff who would be openly rude to a customer and blame the customer for her mistake. The manager didn't help resolve the situation either. Extremely unprofessional here. The only resolution I wanted was an apology but that couldn't even be provided.
I do not plan on shopping here again. I will go somewhere....anywhere else, where they have an equal or larger selection of parts for better prices, and most importantly....SOMEWHERE WITH PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I would not recommend people purchasing from here unless you enjoy rude staff who blame customers for their mistakes. But, feel free to shop here and see for yourself first hand what I have already experienced.
