"Forgot" to replace cap after changing oil and overfilled (or didn't completely drain) transmission fluid when changing it. My transmission is increasingly struggling to switch gears properly. And luckily it's a Toyota but 3 days without a oil cap is not.... Ideal.
Didn't want to make the oil cap mishap right until my first negative review was seen by a someone higher than the store manager (etc.)
Do not want any type of compensation, decnet chance these people will just mess something else up. And a standard reply to cover up this honest experience will not help anything.

On October 3rd, 2025, I went to Sundevil Auto for an oil change and new tires. They completed the oil change but said I'd have to wait until Monday for the tires. After my appointment my tire pressure light came on, showing a 'low tire pressure' warning, which wasn't on before. As I pulled back into the parking spot and I saw the technician so I asked a technician to turn it off, which he did awkwardly in silence. Before leaving the lot, I inspected the tire and found a brand new screw. I remained calm, hoping they'd have the new tires ready on Monday. However, from their tone it seems like they never had intentions of really servicing my fleet vehicle.
The Friendly Neighborhood Car Shop!! Always greeting with a smile and they really seem to care. There are other car shops around but Colton and Michael makes my visits pleasant, with the stress of car issues, this helps. :) Thanks guys for being Awesome!
They are always great crew! Not only did the help with replacing a door lock. They did an oil change and new battery. It was like a one stop shop! I couldn't be happier!
My first visit to this location did not end well. They damaged my lug screw and hub. They promised to make it right. I returned my vehicle for an oil change and other services. They did the job, repaired the damage done the first visit, and reduced my bill.
I was looking for a good shop when I went there the first time. They are now the only ones I will let service my three vehicles.
Mistakes happen, how a company handles their mistakes makes the difference. These guys have integrity. Their word is their bond.
NEVER Take your car here!!!!!!! Took car in for issue charged $1200 few days later Same Issue. Brought it back another $800 and within Minutes of leaving same issue!! Called again and after charging $2000 for the car to be Worse than when we took it, they quote $2000 EACH for a water pump and radiator! They do not cost that much!! My poor niece she does not have the money to be taken advantage of in such a way. Zero stars seriously.
Had been a Firestone customer since it was Greulich's but they've really dropped the ball and gotten so expensive. My son recommended I give Sun Devil a try, which I did today.
I had an appointment but got the time wrong and showed up a 1/2 hour late.
They were able to still get my oil changed, tires rotated and the normal full service oil change stuff done by 12:30.
Very pleased with the switch so far. Actually dropped a 2nd car off too so hopefully it goes as well as the 1st one.
I had my car serviced at Sun Devil Auto on Ray and Kyrene Rd in Chandler within the past week both for an oil change and then to install the under shield. The office service man was very kind and friendly. The service technician was very thorough and the job was completed in a timely manner. I was able to get both jobs done quickly also. They have very reasonable prices for their work. I highly recommend Sun Devil Auto!
No headaches or fuss. I experienced the best customer service I've had in a very long time. I needed an oil change, check. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg, check. Definitely coming back.
About three days ago I took my car to this location for motor mount replacement. I had a very positive experience with employees there. I was so happy that my car ride it gonna smooth but it ended up the car isn't level and the steering wheel stiff. The car seats sinks inside of leveled. I still give them positive reviews but I hope they will reach to me to fix the issue. I think they messed either something is not tight enough or too tight. My car seats sinks too much. I hope they will look at to see what the car is not leveled after the engine mount replaced. Especially the seats are not comfortable. The car should be straight leveled. Thank you for your attention.
Sun Devil Auto did an excellent job of diagnosing my engine problem and repairing it in a timely manner. They provided a 2 year warranty on their repairs. They sent a car for me when the repair was finished at no charge to me.
I always appreciate the honesty and fairness of the team here at Sun Devil Auto. They are also great with communication! Recently I inquired about getting my brakes done and they said they could take the car right away. Worked out great and reasonably priced.
Walked in today to get my car service through Lyft, these gentlemen in here do not play around, customer service is top tier and they were done in no time. Keep up the good work fellas.
Colton, at the ray and kyrene shop. Was extremely helpful. Got me in and out in a Saturday when my car was leaking gas. I appreciate the integrity of the shop. I thought it was going to be an expensive part job. After inspection it only ended up being a few hundred dollars. What a great change. A shop that isn't trying to fix something that's not broken. Friendly staff and a good experience overall. I love the thorough inspection given for even things like a simple oil change. With my high mileage vehicle it’s great to get perspectives on things that might be in line to fail soon - at least under the vehicle. They even spotted a control arm issue that another shop couldn’t diagnose. I recommend anyone give this shop a try. Reasonably priced and very friendly service. Will come back for my next oil service and maybe an additional maintenance need.
Very disappointed that I have not heard from anyone in upper management at Sun Devil Auto regarding a resolution for the incurred costs due to a mechanic's negligence with the oil change performance on my vehicle that resulted in additional repairs and costs for transportation by leaving me stranded and having to resort to taking an UBER from Wickenburg, AZ to Surprise , AZ to rent a car to get to Las Vegas, NV for a corporate event on the day of May 8, 2025. I took my vehicle into Sun Devil Auto in Chandler AZ on May 7th in good faith to make sure that my car would be road ready and was assured that it was. The inspection report shared with me indicated that the oil change was complete and there was nothing in the report to indicate any issues relatable to the Oil Drip pan that ultimately was forced onto the vehicle causing the oil leak and cost for replacement at Desert Diesel in Wickenburg, AZ. I incurred unexpected costs for UBER, a rental car from Enterprise Surprise, AZ, Sun Devil Auto Chandler, AZ. This does not include the money for gas and time missed at my corporate event in Las Vegas and the extreme hassle for dealing with this ordeal. I was told I would receive a credit on my account for future repairs which is unacceptable.
Took my car to the Kyrene location for a brake not working and the transmission was slipping. Got a call from Andrew who suggested not to touch the transmission because it would make it worse if the fluid wasn't being change in a regular basis.
He verbally recommended rear shock absorbers/struts.
When I go to pick up the car the bill was outrageous, price of the lights was $5.98 and the labor $136.50 in total I paid $627 Andrew wrote in the invoice that I declined the transmission service when he recommended not to touch the transmission. I took my car straight to AAmco transmission, there they replace 2 motor mounts and the transmission mount and the complete the transmission fluid replacement the same thing I asked to do at your shop and was discouraged from doing so. All the work at AAMCO was done the same day at a much lower labor rate: $65 per hr labor. The parts and labor have 1year warranty and thus technicians know what they are doing.
This place is unreal! Never going there again, they smooth talkers and to expensive. Why having as sign in your doors advertising not to go to the dealership when your prices are if not higher than a dealership?
Dealerships would allowed a customer to leave the lot with an unsafe vehicle like you did to me, unbelievable.
Took my car to the Kyrene location, the car will not start even with a new battery. Requested to check all the fliuids. Andrew, the guy in the front desk, called saying thatt he car needed a new radiator and the hoses, that there was a potential oil leak and in the transmission as well.
He said it could be either or and since they didn't have a steam cleaner there was no way to tell where it was coming from. At no time Andrew gave me a written or verbal estimate of the job. The car was there for an extra day because Andrew said the technician working in my car was the only one qualified and experience to work on my car and he had a day off. Andrew called the next day and said the car was ready. I asked how much was the service and he said it is $3,040.05
OMG!!! I have this car for 30 years and I have never paid nothing near that amt. I was in shock.
The only thing replaced was the radiator, fluids and one hose. I was never told they charge $195 per hour labor.
I picked the car up and it was a mess!!!it was rattling, the manual transmission stick was shaking, smoke in the cabin and it was making a lot of scary noises. Brought it right back and they couldn't fix it or refund for the botched job they did. I picked up the car and went to to another shop immediately. As I parked the car, it went dead and inoperable.
They lied and just serviced your wallet.

I was serviced by an excellent representative and store manager, his name is August. He offered exceptional customer service, and made me feel like an appreciated customer. On this visit I spent less than $10 bucks. He just made me feel that my interest is what he cared about most. As usual the store will be my first choice for my automotive needs because of good service like that. It is a place felt I could trust.
Thanks guys for being careful with our old truck. You did a great jobs on the AC cooler. And gave us helpful directions to other shop that detail in concerns. Will gladly return.
