Do not go if you’re not a Chandler resident! We were helping our friend clean out their garage and needed to find a dump nearby to take all of their stuff. Given the age we live in, we used Google Maps to find the closest one and I proceed to this one. Upon arrival I see a janky sign stating that they require a utility bill and ID and I proceeded to their booth. They asked for my address so I gave them my home address that is Phoenix and their response was extremely rude, as if it it is universal knowledge. Coming from Washington, any of the dumps would allow you to utilize their service because you’re paying for it and money is money. The King’s guard at the booth scoffed again and I proceed to just tell them I was making the run for our friend who we were helping that may have a Chandler address. They continued to be rude and provided zero info as if they were protecting the highly sought after treasures that hid beyond the gates. As I drove off, I could only imagine that the two dudes in their toll booth were high-fiving because they were able to keep out another outsider from intruding on their fortress. I am not reviewing the rules, just the sheer lack of understanding and help from the attendant. Would’ve been a non-issue if they were like, “happens all the time, you just gotta go to xyz”. None of that.

I scheduled a curbside bulk pick up and the lazy workers left a good portion of the trash. This is after meticulously listing and sorting everything by type (I.e., plastic, metal, etc.). They picked through the trash and selectively decided what to take, leaving half there. After calling the City of Chandler, we were told we can’t schedule another pick up because we are moving out but we are “welcome” to drop everything off at the recycling center. Nice service Chandler. Zero stars if I could.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Well organized .. Convenient place to drop.

Process to check in at dump is easy enough, but the employees inside were extremely rude and abrasive. My husband mistakenly pulled into the wrong area for disposing of trash and was approached by an extremely annoyed older man. He proceeded to verbally belittle my husband's inability to "see the cones". An honest mistake of pulling into the wrong area shouldn't be handled with such rudeness. Is any employee training given for customer interaction, assuming that these are paid positions? The attendants on the way in and out of the collection center were pleasant.

Easy process to dump but the employees were very rude and abrasive. We approached them with nothing but respect yet they seemed extremely annoyed to deal with people for the purpose of doing their job.

Here on a Saturday morning at 6:56AM. Posted hours state it should have opened at 6:00AM, yet there are a line of trucks waiting for the gate to open still as of 7:24AM. It appears a couple city employees are just starting to roll in..... What a rude disrespectful waste of our time. I would just leave, but I can't go get more materials for my job until I dump the junk out of my bed first.

I have never had an issue with city of chandler solid waste. The only suggestion I would have is that chandler get a green bin and that there is a clear listing that waste management is NOT city of chandler. The employees for the city are helpful and friendly. Thank you for your service. Update: this is the first time that I’ve had an issue. Firstly the website says your closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. I’m told over the phone that “well we’re here”! Great response. Secondly I called for a special pickup for 3/22. No show. I thought perhaps I had the date wrong so waited for the next week. When I called today 4/8 I was told my items were picked up. Unless I’m seeing things the items are still in my front yard. As a matter of fact my neighbor picked one item for himself. So the contractor they use is deceitful. What’s worse is the city customer service. No help at all. I guess I waited too long to report it so that must mean they won’t investigate.

Please talk to your workers. At 5:20 this morning, one of your male workers in a white car decided to tail gate me and then blow past me in the turn lane. While flipping me off the entire time for no reason. Then used his keycard and hurried through the gate. Another worker has cut me off multiple times almost causing me to wreck (older Ford truck with blue stripe down the side). Please talk to them about safety or if they're going to drive so poorly and recklessly make sure they don't do it in front of work.

Their services is AWESOME! I Use their Bulk pick up service as needed and I'm impressed every time on how thorough and professional they are with their work! Thank you so much for rendering such good services!

This company is woefully managed. Inept Billing systems that seem to not connect or register with payments. Sounds very odd in 2023 that they dont keep information of payments in their system. Now for the wonderful staff who work there and figure they can communicate with people any way they like and not have any information available and yet make claims, you need to work on your customer service skills. This is a poor excuse for a city service.

Own a rental in Chandler and was hauling away trash for the renter and I have them proof of residence and they still refused me because I wasn’t on the water bill. Instead of helping me out Silas and his merry band of misfits turned me away and refused to help me even with my willingness to pay. Not open to the public so don’t bother go somewhere else.

Excellent service! Making an appointment was easy, show'd my ID and bill, the guys unloaded my car and off I went. Literally took all of 3 minutes, very efficient.

They wouldn't let me in. We just bought a new house and we're renovating it (30 mile round trip to this location). My wife has water bill setup, but my name wasn't on it yet and we tried to deliver on Sunday. Although I'm on the gas and electric bills and I provided a bill of sale on the house for 9 days prior with both our names on it, the guard still refused to let me use the site. He basically said she might've left me in the last week. Wouldn't even let me call her on video. I even got my father in law to come with me with his bill, prepared to bill to his residence, and the guy still wouldn't let us in. So I had to drive all the way back and she had to go dump 1200 lb of material alone (we have young kids and someone had to be with them). Cost us an extra 90 minutes of time and $20 in gas. Thanks for sticking to your rules - I'll exclusively use Weinberger from now on.

It's very easy to recycle here! Just don't forget your most recent bill and ID when you show up. Recycling for cardboard and paper is out near the back. I'd recommend gloves if you're handling anything potentially breakable and make sure you wear shoes! They keep the whole place very tidy but there was a little broken glass here and there that probably was pretty hard to pick up because of the asphalt. Totally not their fault, though I'd implore folks handling glass to be conscious and avoid breaking it when disposing. Staff are all courteous and to-the-point as well. I showed up and was in and out within 20 minutes my very first time - and that was mostly just because I was slow to figure out procedure. Great job Chandler Utilities! Thank you for the hard work you all do.

This is the best Solid Waste Facility I have ever been to. So glad I’m in the City of Chandler. Bring your water bill / ID from Chandler and you can dispose of household trash, yard waste or old furniture for free. More convenient sometimes then setting up bulk pickup, but you have to haul it in. They take recycling, metal and e-waste too. I think there is a per ton fee for dirt/rock/concrete. The people working here are great too.

The disposal center is super easy and free if you meet certain parameters. I had cut up a large, old hot tub into 12 pieces, and I was bummed when they denied bulk pickup... But when I called them I spoke to a very friendly person who informed me that I can drop the pieces off free of charge. The dump location is super easy - they ask for your address, name, and what you're dropping off. Fast, free, super easy. We're lucky to have this center in Chandler, that way people aren't dumping their trash into business' dumpsters.

Every time I visit the Solid Waste location in Chandler I have been treated very kindly by those working that day. I have met employees who knew my family from the Queen Creek and Chandler area. I have never had a negative experience at our solid waster location drop off, very organized! Many thanks!!!!

Chandler does a great job at this facility. They sort items according to material and will take hazardous materials and stuff like old paint or mercury but you have to make an appointment for HAZMAT. Bring enough people to off-load what ever you want to get rid of because employees won't help you. I recommend wearing sturdy gloves and a bandanna to cover your hair. Its a garbage dump after all and everyone else is dumping around you- you tend to get dirty no matter what you're dumping. Great news- they will take refrigerators, yard trimmings cut down to 6 ft length), old rugs, furniture, fluorescent bulbs, computers, tv's, electronics, speakers, cardboard and old grills here too! Also if you rip carpet out of your house- they may charge you if there is a lot.

I’m replacing some areas that were worn out on my roof. Mexican tile had about four tons of it. I was charged $257.00. I gave one star cause I was in a flat bed ford 700. With a large amount of heavy tile and concrete. I approached two of the three men standing there watching me. I asked if they could use there small tractor to assist me with taking the load off. In return I’d give twenty bucks. They replied no. And then watched me and two other guys killing ourselves trying to unload.

I never thought I'd be writing a review for a solid waste transfer station but, here it is and, yes,t five stars. The gentlemen who work here are some of the nicest, most pleasant individuals I've had the privilege to encounter.

Great place but if you live in an apartment you have to pay a $20. We took an old sofa there twice but had to drive across the street to circle k to take out some cash. They won’t take card so make sure to bring cash if you live in an apartment.

Well organized facility. As I recently moved to the area, I had no utility bill. However, the friendly staff was able to verify my address and allowed me to use the facility!

Facility is not a landfill but a transfer station/recycling facility. HHW is also allowed (call for details and limitations). You will need a utility bill with your Chandler, AZ address on it. FYI: they do charge for some items. Easy to get around if you are polite and explain where the “material” came from. Example: they wanted to charge me $25 for 7 gate boards (~56 linear feet) from my gate because it was “construction debris”. Either that, or I had to schedule WM to stop by the house for a scheduled pickup.

This recycling center is always well-run and well-organized. The only word of caution I can give you is to avoid Saturday mornings if at all possible, as the line is usually the longest then. Try to go during the week! Either way, I can't say enough good things about this center.

Went here without my bill on paper but the guy let me in after I struggled with just my account number and ID (I guess they need a barcode on the paper). It was great because I had a truck bed full 10 minutes before they closed on a Monday and they close Tuesday and Wednesday.

Been using this facility since it was an actual landfill. It's still convenient but has gotten worse over the years. Now they charge residents for certain debris and are overly anal about recycling. So what if there are two beverage cans in the back of the truck with all my green waste? I guess that's what happens with privatization and no longer subsidized by the City. They are definitely "going green" = $$$$$

Organized and very quick in and out. The major gripe I have is that even just a few bricks, like 10 or so they say you have to go to the scale. I little common sense and discretion would really help that 10 is not gonna hit the max free dump limit before they start charging.

Chandler Landfill is a class act. As a long time resident I've had to dispose of lots of landscape and remodel/construction debris overy the years. Staff is polite and they make it easy to recycle used reclaimable materials - tires, metal, cardboard. For a "dump" it is very clean, well maintained and doesn't smell like a "landfill".
