Tonto Basin is a hidden treasure, and Punkin Center is a fun stop. Few travelers know about it, but locals do. Those are the folk you listen to.
Add a bacon cheeseburger here.After a 3 hour motorcycle ride to get there. Burger was cooked perfectly. Meat had a ton of flavor nice crispy, bacon, very good burger
The bartender Kami is the most rude person I have ever met our biker group will never visit this location with her on shift she is even stealing money!! So sad because the bar itself is ok but whoever is in charge should really look into her and watch she lets her friend order drinks but never puts the money into the register never even rings it up just makes it look like she did so she can pocket the money I feel bad for the owner getting robbed by her own employee
Good food and drink. Fair prices but it was much better in the afternoon with bartender Becky.
She played great music all the time and tunes.
It's no longer that enjoyable, I spend a lot less time and money there now that I have to listen to jukebox garbage vs Becky's tunes.
We love offroading from Apache Junction over the 4 Peaks to grab a drink amd lunch here, such a great and cool spot. If your fancy just don't go then. This is good ol redneck saloon with great food and cold drinks....oh amd get a ? while your there....they'll know what you mean if you ask the bartender.
I love this bar. The people that work here and the people that visit always makes for a good time. I LOVE their bloody Mary’s. Delicious. Pool tables, live music, karaoke, smoking in front outside and shaded. Been there many times and will continue to be in the future.
Stop here everytime when riding around roosevelt loop. Cold drinks and good price. Ate here once out of 20 times and it was good, but it was a busy weekend and they were prepared for food orders. Definitely a great spot of drinks and cool off.
Thumbs down all around ? would not recommend. I've stopped in a couple of times. The food has always been just above edible. The service has been even worse. They stop serving food at 8 however we called & they said 9. Upon arriving at 8:03 they said the kitchen was closed & then the bartender argued with us and said her phone never rang LOL an elderly lady at the end of the bar then said it was her and she was confused. How can the staff not know when they do or don't serve food?! Anyway, if you just want a beer then this is a decent choice. If you want a mixed drink or food or good service then I'd skip it.
Never had a bad time here! The bartenders are great, and the chicken wings are outrageously fantastic! The patrons are nice as well. They have pool, shuffleboard, pull tabs, Tv's to watch sports. Friendly bar.
Burger so charred it was wax terrible. Fries on the opposite spectrum were still cold in the middle. Tossing this meal and buying edible food closer to town. Not worth it to try and support this local joint, they weren't even busy :(
After hiking to the Lower Cliff Dwellings my friend and I were pretty hungry. I had seen this on maps and all the reviews seemed positive. The reviews were accurate! Friendly service and good food! My friend had the Southwest Turkey Melt and was so impressed is was actually turkey not lunch meat. I had the Reuben and it was fantastic! I would definitely come back when I'm in the neighborhood!!
Great place! I walked in about 10 minutes after 8:00. When I asked for a menu, they told me that the kitchen closed at 8:00. I said, "Okay, I'll just get a beer". The bartender said nevermind, I haven't cleaned up, order whatever you want. Great burger, extremely cold beer, excellent service. I'll be back!
Pretty cool place. Middle of the day, all the TV'S had Maury Povich on (I'd rather go to Walmart than watch his show) which says something about this place. Interesting, local vibe, cold beer and the food was great.
