Store is fine. Don’t grab a water testing kit at the front. It is just a tool for them to send a sales man to pitch a water filter for your home

Ordered tool belt to be delivered to my home. Person whom this item was a gift opened the door to find belt lying on ground SO SURPRISE…MERRY CHRISTMAS! CALLED STORE AND RESPONSE WAS WE DON’T HAVE BIG BAGS TO PUT THEM IN…OOPS! WRONG ANSWER AND NO COMPASSIONATE AT ALL!!! I AM SO SICK OF NO COMMON SENSE, ESPECIALLY DURING HOLIDAYS!! No one cares anymore!!!!

The guys in the plumbing department were super nice, so friendly, really knew their stuff, and went above and beyond to get me the things I needed and made sure I had good instructions to complete my project

I usually have a really good experience here, but there is something that completely baffles me and that’s why I’m leaving this review. Although the new kids activity area is absolutely adorable and such a great idea for local children to learn a little bit more about carpentry, it’s a huge safety hazard. I realize when I visited this morning that a lot of the materials that workers need to access are not accessible because there is 20 or so children sitting directly next to it. Meaning that if you need certain materials, you have to just come back when they’re gone. Wouldn’t it make more sense to section off the section or do it outside and have some of those materials accessible still somewhere else within the store?
It just makes more sense to have this thought out a bit more to avoid any type of accidents that could happen. For people that have jobs that need to be done this is obviously really inconvenient.
It would’ve made more sense to have the children’s activity area closer to something that isn’t industrial materials like the garden center.Nov 01, 2025 -

I went to get a copy of a key and the machine was down. No big deal. I approach the counter and ask an employee if she could copy it real quick. She said, “the machine is right there.” I reply, “Oh it doesn’t work” and she said “I’ll have to call somebody” and we just stare at each other. She calls and tells me to wait in front of the key kiosk. I waited for 10 minutes and no one came. Left with a master lock that I found on the website because I couldn’t find an employee to help me navigate the aisle.

I came in today to check out some flooring materials for a floor I’m replacing. My first interaction was with a black lady with blondish highlights and was 1. Treated rudely and dismissed with “It’s over there you can go look” thankfully I met Joey a flooring associate and he helped me more than I could’ve ever expected. He helped me match vinyl planks with my wall color and room decor giving me a complete package of customer service that I have never received anywhere else. The store and the lady that worked in flooring receives a 1 star review from me, but Joey deserves 5 stars or more for his exemplary customer service, attitude and knowledge of how to treat people. THANK YOU JOEY FOR MAKING A BAD EXPERIENCE TURN INTO A GREAT ONE I TRULY APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO HOME DEPOT.

I don’t know if these reviews are fake or what, I’ve had several bad experiences here. It doesn’t seem like anybody even cares. My wife and I went to get lumber yesterday evening and the guy looked at my wife and said if you want straight lumber, you’ll have to talk to God about it. I have been shopping at Home Depot since I owned my remodeling business in 1993 and now I’m building a house. The employee refused to get the lumber down and let me look through the boards. Told me I needed to go through the boards that were up three shelves high and he would not get those down either. He finally got the new pallet of boards down, but kept it behind his barrier and said I needed to get up and look through the boards up inside of the shelves. Customer service at this branch is terrible. I will be going to the Fairfield store even though it’s farther they’re always nice there.

We come to home depot a lot! I wanted to leave a 5 star review for our experience at home depot. We would have had a negative experience if not for Gabrielle at check out. She was the only one that helped us. We came in the store every day for last 3 days. We love home depot and was very disappointed in the other workers they were staring at us talking to one another but not helping. Almost like we were going to steal something but me and my husband were in our company shirts. We own a business in Tuscaloosa and shop at home depot quite a bit. Ms. Gabrielle was very pleasant and deserves a 5 star for sure! Thank you Gabrielle

Love the Home Depot but all stores need to review their phone sales procedures. When you work for yourself and have to go get materials your not making money. And when it takes 15 or 20 minutes to do a phone sale and there is only one person in front of you it hurts. But Home Depot still gets a two thumbs up from me

Had a horrible experience with mulch delivery. While the delivery person was friendly and cordial, he obviously needs better training on the delivery equipment and stacking bags. In addition, it took 3 days of discussion with the Fairfield store manager to get credited for the busted bags. He actually didn’t do the credit as I called main customer service after he tried to tell me the delivery company HD hired should pay! I tried to call him and inform him of the corporate customer service action as was told by the CS desk that I would have to call him back in an hour as he had an emergency with his mother’s refrigerator he was working. I am so disappointed with the level and quality of service with this order! It is shocking the lack of customer support provided to pro account holders! I certainly hope this gets someone’s attention and some training for their staff and management occurs! The negative impact on the ability to use the delivered product (even with the partial credit for busted bags) is disappointing! Every bag will have to be touched multiple times just to put it out causing increased time on the job, increased labor costs and not to mention the employee moral for having to restack just to be able to move it to the job site!

Staff has always been friendly except the guy with white hair thats usually at the desk by doors and stuff, he just plain rude!!! Store usually always has what you need thats in stock but as for there online ordering.. I don't not reccomend it, nothing ever comes on time when it says it does and even after you call and they apologize and tell you it will be here this day then it still doesn't show!! Happens almost every time I order online from them!!. Lowe's has a much better online handling system period!!

Our washer went out and the next day we came to The Home Depot to get a new one and we were very well pleased with the customer service we received. We were greeted with a smile from appliance specialist Toccarra. She was very informative and helpful and we loved having her around to help us.

I spend way more time here than I would like to admit. Staff is always friendly. And for the items I look for, the prices are good. I've only had one negative experience here in the 20+ visits I've made. A male associate did try to talk down to me about a remodel project i was working on as a woman but I'm used to that. That was the associates fault, not the store.

I don't usually shop here, but needed a rack for the inside of my storage closet. I walked to the back of the store not knowing where to look. I saw an employee and asked for some help. She took me to the area and helped me decide what I would need based on my measurements. I picked the plastic 5 shelf unit that was $79.00. She asked a gentleman to bring a pallet to load it on. Within a few minutes, I was taking it to the register to check out. After I got it home, I discovered one of the shelves was cracked a little bit. It didn't deter me in the slightest. I put it together and then learned that I should have measured the spacing between the shelves where my totes would go. Only the flatter ones would fit. It did provide more storage, but I wish the larger totes would have fit so as not to take up so much space in my small apartment.

Home Depot off of Veterans Memorial in Tuscaloosa is always clean and stocked. The lumber section seems to have a hard time with straight material specifically 2x4’s. Staff for the most part are friendly. It’s conveniently located in the center of town.

Went in to buy a gas stove and the gentleman who helped us was fantastic. He even saved me money by showing me a dented discount priced smart stove that was open box and half the price. Paid 750ish. My wife absolutely loves it. We picked up same day but a few days later someone called asking me to come pick up my stove. I did inform them I already got it. Could have been an issue if someone gave a free stove away after picking theirs up. But other than that the store is always fantastic and very helpful if I ever need it. Definitely prefer them over Lowes especially all the company does for veterans

Right now I would never recommend using this company Home Depot AT ALL. Even though I have spent thousands of dollars here for my business. They delivered us a dented brand new Samsung refrigerator June 12, 2021 (at my home bought by R.P. Spencer) that we paid $3000.00 for. Delivery guy Datwan was horrible. (Tay was ok.) Home Depot agreed to deliver either NEW door or NEW refrigerator "asap." They could NOT make it happen within 2 weeks before we would be gone for a month. We got back yesterday, as we told them we would the DAY they delivered damaged refrigerator. Now they are keeping us on hold for HOURS and transferring us from person to person--and then HANGING UP on us--rather than make delivery and make this right. Clearly they do NOT care about customer service. I was going to buy 3 appliances from them this month. NO WAY is that ever happening now. HOME DEPOT: PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THIS.
