Brought my husband's truck here for a cam timing replacement. Ended up needing a new engine because they put a faulty filter in. Employees were rude throughout the entire process. Initial work that was supposed to take 1-2 weeks ended up taking 2 months. Paul's refused to refund the faulty work and took another 2 months to file the claim with insurance to allow us to replace the motor. Over all, 10/10 would not recommend this shop to my greatest enemy.
The staff at Paul’s Automotive were great to work with and very polite. They were quick to diagnose and fix the problem we were having with our vehicle.
I used to recommend Paul's to everyone. The last job they did for me though was replacing an air intake manifold. It took almost a thousand dollars and a transmission shop to find the leak they left. My poor car was never the same!!!
Good, honest, Christian folks!! My dad patronized Mr Paul’s shop for years up to his dying day so if I ever have car problems, I take it to Paul’s and they always get me back on the road with minimal down time!!! I HIGHLY recommend!!
Went to have my radiator repaired after overly quoted from a dealership, Amanda & John gave fantastic customer service & made it very easy through the whole process, they had it fixed the same day, they even told me I could pick it up after hours for my convenience, and the price was absolutely the best part, I will be taking my vehicle back for all service needs in the future!

The customer service was AMAZING!! But the lack of communication in regards to the timing of when they said it would be done was awful. They said it would be a day job but a week later we finally got it back. And I had to call to find out daily and it was one excuse after another. The steering column was broken and the one the put it on wasn’t even close to what he had in there . It was all messed up and the pice for what we had done was WOW!! 800+ part was only 150 .
Paul's Automotive has done a wonderful job with my 2007 Kia Sorento issues. The team is efficient, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The costs are very fair, they do not mark up alot, if at all. Labor costs are fair and I have never had to leave my car overnight. Now I do make sure that she's in by 7:30 am, but get her back by 3 pm. I'm sure it all matters on what needs to be done and parts needed.

Had a big issue with my Dodge Ram truck. Not everyone works on Dodge Ram vehicles. Paul’s Automotive have very competent mechanics and they saw the job through. I have been looking here in Mobile Alabama for honest reliable repair shop for my vehicles. So happy I have found this shop. Very friendly and well kept shop , it’s no wonder they have been in business for 35 years. They stand behind their work and like I said very competent men working for them. I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to anyone in need of car or Truck issues…
These people charge me 3500.00 and may car was in worst shape after leaving.I believe paul to be a good mechanic but i'm not sure about his help. . my car had no ticking from the engine at all now it sounds like a ticking time bomb. I will never use them again .I really the fair to do would been to at very lease give me a good part of my money back.
DO NOT GO HERE! They’re very unprofessional I took my bmw here to get FIXED when I got my car back nothing that I paid to get fixed was fixed! If anything they messed up more than they fixed! Then Paul is never there when you have questions that need ANSWERS!!! I paid $1800 only for them to mess my car up way more than it was when I dropped it off then they only gave me $500 back!!!! I honestly think they don’t know what they’re doing in there but instead of saying that they just take your money and play games, also they had my car over a month plus! And he’s bragged about being sued 6x and winning all 6!!!
I have an older car and needed belts replaced. I called all around town and even brought my car to a few places to get estimates, I know the cost of things are going up but the estimates I was getting felt kind of insane for what the job was. (North of $400+) I’m used to places charging a mark up to me unless I bring my partner with but THIS place. Incredible. I called and spoke to Paul himself and he gave me a quote on parts and labor within a few minutes and by the time I got there he was already having the parts delivered and squeezed me into their lineup of other cars. It’s the Thursday before Memorial weekend so they were incredibly busy with phones ringing off the hook but they were kind, straight forward, and I was out there in just over an hour. I can’t begin to tell y’all how fair the pricing was. Significantly cheaper than any other place I had spoken to and clear about costs. I’d recommend any of family or friends to go here.
I'm very pleased. Paul's got my '09 Avalanche working again with a fuel tank and fuel pump. I highly recommend them to anyone needing automotive repair.
After discovering the a/c was blowing hot and the temp gauge maxing out in the Lincoln, being new to the area and finding out the dealerships here are backed up 60 plus days. Found Paul’s Automotive with great recent reviews. Called and spoke with Amanda who was absolutely amazing and advised to bring it by and drop it off. Very honest with how long it would be until they could diagnose the problem. (Advised probably tomorrow), like no problem. Called the following morning. She quoted diagnosis, price, and time. Later that afternoon she reached out and said it was complete. Absolutely fantastic work. (You know they are great when you drop your car off and they are literally servicing a Bentley)!

I’ve had so many issues with my vehicle and, as a female who knows nothing really about cars, I’ve been taken advantage of by many mechanics. I was referred to Paul and FINALLY my car is running perfectly and my pockets are not empty! Paul is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable and fair! He was honest about which issues my vehicle had and was efficient in his work without price gauging. I’m so thankful to find a business owner with such integrity! If I could give them 10 stars I would. I've been bringing my vehicle and my wife vehicle to Paul's for a while now. They're always upfront, honest and just down right great people with outstanding prices. Doesn't mind you bringing your own parts and gets the job done in a timely fashion.
Absolute ripoff of a shop! Had my car towed with electrical issues, asked to diagnose. Called me back 4 days later saying everything was perfect after reprogramming. Asked them to check the A/C compressor because I already knew it was bad. Wanted to charge me 2300 dollars for the job! The dealer was only going to charge 1497. Still have multiple issues with the car, including a start-stop error. Charged me 154 dollars for a diagnosis that obviously was not performed. Absolute waste of money and time at this shop. They will try to scam you.
Crisis averted!! They helped me out when I was in a jam and needed an absolute blessing. I wasn't able to leave my vehicle overnight. These guys are super professional, super quick and most of all SUPER KNOWLEDGABLE!! Been looking for a place other than the dealership. Found them.

my car drove very nicely. I had tires and an alignment done on it. So, I had to go to Paul's automotive to get it fixed because it wasn't starting. When I left, it was pulling real hard to the right. Took it to a place to check the alignment and it was out really bad. You go in to have a problem fixed and you come out with more problems stay away.
Took great care of my truck that another shop quoted me $8,000 for a full engine replacement. Found the issue and fixed it in two days for less than $800. Highly recommend!
It was awesome Paul Automotive is the only place and people I trust to give me the best service and fix my car. They will never try and run a bill up and tell you unnecessary stuff needed to your car. I highly recommend them to everyone.
Paul's actually found where another shop had misdiagnosed my vehicle and repaired it for a way lower price. I'm thankful for their honesty and good work! Take your vehicle here if you want good, honest people to take care of you.
Anyone that remembers the days of mechanics who owned their own shops will love Paul's Automotive. Capitalism at it's best!! I was fortunate enough to find this one after much searching to keep away from the dealerships that rack up bills just to ask for a diagnosis and keep your car for a week. The Mechanics at Paul's all work together and discuss the issues with each other and caught my Rav 4 in the nick of time as it was a leaking hose of coolant and valve seal of oil. Toyota will run forever if you maintain them and since I bought this with 140,000 miles on it, I had no idea until today why it was traded in. I am good to go and no new car payments thanks to the great mechanics and worth every penny.
Blew a radiator hose on my Durango while driving around and luckily I drove into Paul’s. They were good from the moment I walked in. Did a quick and great job and I will be back for any future repairs
