Not only is he working on a major holiday so that way he’s team could have off, he then helped us install the lights & trailer because we had no one else. We will forever be in debt to Kevin! I was towing a U-Haul trailer from Texas to Georgia when my trailer lights quit working. I took it to a U-Haul location given to me by the roadside phone number and they immediately said, "Oh, you need to go talk to Kevin." and sent me to the U-Haul on Government Street. Kevin was able to figure out the problem and had me back on the road within an hour. He went above and beyond to get me back on the road while juggling regular customers who were getting their own rentals started. Even though I didn't start or stop my rental with them, I would highly recommend using them based on the great customer service Kevin provided.
Worst experience ever with U-Haul for 29.99 truck that cost it over 100 bucks for no necessary reason it representatives are lying about accurate mileage and fule consumption on those trucks
I absolutely love this Uhaul, they are the best and truly took my bad day to a great day. They are so kind and sweet, patient is an understatement as they went above and beyond for us. Kevin thank you for installing the hitch for us after 2pm. Sequoia thank you for all your assistance with everything else. We were coming from Auburn AL to pick up some equipment and didn’t realize we were not equipped properly. The Uhaul on government road deserves 10 out of 5 stars. I cannot thank them all enough for how much they have helped us. Thank you once again. (Uhaul give them a raise pls)
Absolute worst U-Haul experience ever. Had a reservation for a pickup truck and was denied from taking the truck due to the fact that they had a reservation the next morning. Manager was insanely rude and the owner was completely inconsiderate. Wouldn’t recommend this U-Haul to anyone. I’d suggest going to one of the many other U-Hauls in Mobile over dealing with the unsympathetic and overall horrible management.
Favorite UHaul experience ever. This local shop went over and above, to the moon and back to take care of my trailer hitch installation. Mistakenly I was in biloxi/ gulfport and the website directed me to mobile alabama, 2 hours away. After much confusion mobile u haul bent over backwards, changed the day and time.so friendly and professional with making it work at a great price. Thank you to Kevin amd Danielle gor making this happen

Please do not cancel someone rental without consulting the customer. I was very disappointed in how the cashier(Danielle) handled the situation when I first arrived. I had called and told her we were running late she kept me on hold for several minutes and never returned back in a timely manner. She stated that there were no 15 inch trucks available but I had reserved two days prior. She said she was sorry and never tried calling customer service or looking for other solutions. My family had to ask her could something be done but I had already making calls to customer service myself. It was frightening because I needed to move that day. It was solve but it should have never occurred.
My experience at this location is always Smooth Riding because of Mr Kevin and his Staff..They are all so Nice and Professional in my Transactions...in which I use alot..I have and will continue to recommend U Haul to my family and friends....oh yes at my Favorite location..Thank you Mr Kevin and Staff!!
Our dad died over the summer and we didn't know he had storage here. The manager Kevin was incredibly understanding and gave us an opportunity to get stuff out. Great customer service.
The first trailer I picked up had a damaged tire. Had to immediately turn around to swap out the trailer. The second trailer was not properly hooked up to my vehicle and came off the hitch and damaged my truck. I will say the rep I spoke with (Kevin) was very knowledgeable and professional. If this survey was entirely on him I would rate everything as excellent. Unfortunately, this is a result of poorly skilled mechanics managing the rental vehicle fleet. I am really hoping U-Haul quickly remedies the damages to my truck with no difficulty.
I had an issue with a car trailer that I picked up in a different state. It was an older model, wheels misaligned (camber & toe different for each wheel). Trailer wouldn't track true & had an unsafe sway. Stopped at this location after speaking with roadside assistance. Kevin realized I was given a trailer meant for a lighter vehicle. He swapped me out to a higher tonnage model with a longer wheelbase. Problem solved after that. Definitely making my travels much easier & safer!
Staff is rude and tried to say that they had no trucks available and then just suddenly did, and theyll give you a truck thats under their gas limit and expect you to fill it up to the limit even if you didnt use that up. Filled back up what we used and got charged what it was short when we originally took it anyways. Then they blamed us.
When we retrieved our stuff from our unit and brought it to our new house to unpack, there were little tiny roaches and beetles in all the boxes. Absolutely disgusting. There’s also a good chance that your unit will be inside the strip mall not in the uhaul facility like ours was. I would not recommend.
I am very grateful for Mr. Bo Lockett and the entire staff at this U-Haul location! I rented a trailer to tow a car from Atlanta to Mobile and was scheduled to deliver it to a different location. However, when I arrived at that location, there was no one to help me unhook the trailer. I was not confident that I could safely do it myself, so thankfully I was redirected to the Government St branch. There, Mr. Lockett was happy to assist me and made sure that both of my vehicles were safely detached from one another. He even made sure that I wasn't charged an extra fee for a "wrong location" drop off. I could not be more pleased with the service I was provided, and I would happily recommend this U-Haul branch (and Mr. Lockett in particular) to anyone seeking assistance with an upcoming move.
FIVE STARS FOR THIS LOCATION & Kevin Pocase !! A great big help on TWO SEPARATE occasions, Mr. Pocase helped my husband with our rental truck and figuring out extensions, then he helped my mom with her one way truck, car transport and extension! The clarity & competence as well as great customer service and hospitality this man offered my family is unmatched! Please go to this location! This man deserves a raise!
I can't speak for any other uhaul location or sales person, but Kevin P. at the Government blvd loop location is absolutely fabulous! First of all I've rented from Uhaul alot and never had anyone offer for me to load my truck then return to pick up my tow...what a genius idea!!! When we returned for the tow and upon Kevin's inspection of the truck he noticed the alignment was off, and with our pending 27 hour drive did not feel safe sending us out in the truck. Kevin worked dillegently to fix the issue getting us a service to help transfer our belongings to a new truck, and during the wait he checked and rechecked with us to see to our needs and bring us water to keep us hydrated. Thank you so very much Kevin!!!!
This place is a joke. I had a reservation to rent a pickup truck and I called to let them know I'd be a few minutes late. Then he proceeds to tell me he couldn't honor my reservation anyways!?! What!?! He said they have had 3 trucks stolen and he didn't have one for me. So were you not even going to call me!?! Just let me show up and tell me you have no truck for me??? Not to mention the guy on the phone was not very friendly and acted like he could care less. Uhaul really screwed me over and put me in a bind today. I'm on the phone holding for corporate now. What terrible customer service!
I had two interactions with this location in the past week - both times we were met with outstanding service. I own my own businesses and know the value of good customer service - these guys are great.
I just want to say, I was not having a very particularly good day. I went in to purchase something and Kamesha, the guest advocate boosted my spirits so much it. Her act of kindness made me emotional. People are rude, selfish and hateful but Kamesha helped me to see all people are not that way. Thank you so much Kamesha. Lord Bless You
Bennie & LaDarius (please forgive if misspelled) were great guys & very friendly. I waited around for a hitch to be installed and was able to witness both handle disgruntled customers with class & professionalism. Bennie kept me up to speed with how the install was coming along as it progressed as they had quite a few customers come thru while I was there.
Never an issue here and I rent trucks fairly often. They always answer my questions and trucks are generally in good shape. For those complaining about prices- If you follow the guidelines and understand what you are renting/paying for, then you can't have any complaints!
This is one of the larger uhaul dealers in the area they have had every truck or trailer I have ever needed and also have storage facilities on the property as well as propane refills and trailer parts and hitches for your car or truck. This is a family owned property they do a great job getting you what you need to make your move happen. The service is just as fast as any uhaul place I've been to however sometimes there is only one person on duty so call ahead if you can you are going to have to pull that credit card out anyway to rent a uhaul so do it over the phone!
I have rented trailers from here twice. Both were good experiences. Sunday April 24th. I walked in to pick up a trailer and there was a customer already there. The woman was being very belligerent and was clearly trying to intimidate the young lady behind the counter. I believe her name was Callie . Callie kept a calm composure and maintained her professionalism during the whole episode. Job very well done.
