They towed my car in Newark which is cool no problem. But now my brand new Audi Q8 has a malfunction light on and the night crew guy, Jose, apparently doesn’t know who he works for, who the manager is, or who works during the day. I’m taking my car to the dealership tomorrow morning and I’ll be suing B&C for however much it costs to get my car fixed which will be more than the chump change I paid to get my car out of their yard. Update: Took my car to the Audi dealership and these morons did over 5k worth of damage. When I called back they directed me to 31 Green St to do a civil complaint. Didn’t even direct me to the correct place. I had to go to 22 Franklin St to file a police report first. I will be suing them for not only the damage on my car but loss wages due to the fact that I won’t have a car and I’m a realtor that needs a vehicle for work. Good job City of Newark and B&C Towing.

Got towed for a street clean violation (as there was no where else to park coming home from work at 5am) & couldn’t pick up car first day because I didn’t know I was towed until I was going in for work (I start at 6:30pm). Went to get it at 9AM on the second day and didn’t notice the new scratches all around my vehicle until the sun shined. I have new scratches outside of my headlights and scratches running from the backseat passenger side door and roof side. This business needs better drivers who actually knows how to store and park cars because now on top of that high bill of 2 days in the yard plus the parking ticket— I now have to pay to get these scratches removed! This experience couldn’t have been any worse! Hire drivers that can park!!

When we received our truck it had no AC and it was a 90° day. We were driving in it for 13 hours from NJ to IL. When we dropped off the truck we immediately reported the problem. The area manager for U-Haul is saying they cannot give us any sort of refund, only an $100 travel credit which we would never use because we aren’t moving anytime soon. Very upset and confused by this as others have reported getting half of their money back and we spent over $1000 dollars and almost got heatstroke.

Towed my car while I was in class at NJIT, they also damaged my car and won’t pay for any damages. Told me to make a complaint but a complaint isn’t goin to do anything they will just throw it to the side. Its also $230.33 just to get your car back

Predatory towing with a contract. They fatten up those tow fees and have you running around like a rat. Ubers + tickets + fees + release forms (if needed). Registration was expired for two days and they wasted no time calling b&c. Thank god im leaving newark next week.

Bring cash to this Scamers, because sometimes when they don't feel like it, their credit card reader will not work. Make sure to ask how much exactly because there is no ATM around and you might end up going back and forward multiple times. I wonder what % Newark keeps!.. I hope the FBI investigates this money laundry operation.

I never waste my time with giving businesses bad reviews. But I had to in this circumstance. It’s not like this review even matters, because they are getting business regardless from the city of Newark. Unfortunately, no one will ever hold them accountable. I have dealt with this company now 2 times. Both times I was shocked at how inhumane and ruthless these guys are. But ofcourse, when you are in this line of work, you are paid to have a cold heart. Most recently, these people towed my car after having to take my baby to the pediatrician for something urgent. I didn’t see a street cleaning sign and I was only gone for about 25 min or so. When I went to pick up my car from the towing company, both of my rims on the left side were scratched. My bumper also had a dent in it. And cash I had in the glove compartment was gone. And on a different occasion, a buddy of mine also got his car towed. This was last year. When we went in to get it, we saw a poor Central American women inside pleading with them for help. She had a baby on her. She was begging them for a discount. She had recently come to this country and someone gifted her this car. She didn’t know how street signs worked in America so her car got towed. They were so mean and rude to her. Poor lady was crying with a baby and they treated her like crap. Funny story though, my buddies car also had some scratches on it as well when we picked it up. He took pictures, reported it, etc. But ofcourse, no one will actually hold them accountable. These guys are benefiting BIG time from the city of Newark. But it’s ok. Most of us won’t forget.

This establishment allowed someone to commit fraud on my account by paying them with my stolen credit card. Reporting to the Better Business Bureau. Now my account is closed and I’m being held accountable for this shady business.

Nobody wants to get their car towed but when it happens, these guys are the ultimate professionals

Scam company, they are racist as well. I was charged $233 for my car being towed for an hour and 45 mins. When I asked for a breakdown of the fees they refused to tell me. Stay clear of this company. Not only did they tow my car for street cleaning but I also received a ticket. This is seriously an injustice and so pathetic if I could rate 0 stars I would

If I could give a minus 1star i would, the front desk individual is extremely disrespectful and nasty to customers. After paying for my tow the man told me through the red gate and down the aisle. Now there are over 100 cars in this lot. I walked by could not find my car. Came back to the office and told him, he proceeded to tell me should I hold your hand to get your car. I told him he has a lot full of cars and it would be nice if someone could direct me where to find my car and which isle that I should be looking. I went back out and continued looking for my car and found it after 10 minutes. It was parked in a muddy pile of water, I had to access my vehicle from the drivers side. Due to the height of the water I had to climb into the passenger seat to get to my vehicle. I had a 4 year old baby with me and it was extremely difficulty. This place is horrible , and has nasty, disrespectful and racist workers here. Good luck to anyone who has their car at this facility.

A note to those who got towed: you are about to enter the Twilight Zone. You will call this place to confirm that your car is there and the being you're speaking with may at first appear to be human but will soon reveal otherwise. A being who hasn't been released out for daily sunlight in years and therefore, can't emote anything but rage and contempt. While you're tempted to respond in kind, treat this hollow being with extreme kindness. He wasn't loved as a child and his cold killer stares are really a cry for help. He goes by the name Mike, but try a more soothing name like poor baby Michael, to evoke your empathy for a being that is so deeply deeply damaged, you may mistake him for someone who shoots innocent animals for fun. If he screams into the microphone, it's because his inner child is screaming for someone to save him from the towing hellhole he never imagined as his future. Your kindness may not be met with any in return, but you at least get to escape this Twilight Zone and go home to friends and family that can soothe you from your terrifying experience. Poor baby Michael is forever stuck behind a thin acrylic wall, looking out onto you and me with a deeply sad yearning to be free, no matter what amount of money you pay him.

Definitely pricey and the hours being 8-4 is not ideal but I was in and out there to get my car the day after it got towed (which was on me for not reading the street sign) with no damage done to my car. All I needed was my license to get it

Horrible place. Horrible customer service. Towing cars from colleges. They damaged my car while towing it and refuse to take responsibility for it. Taking advantage of students that are struggling. The prices are crazy high. I paid $230.33 to get my car back. someone shut this place and get these people out of business. they deserve 0 stars.

This is the worst company I have ever seen in my life. They are disrespectful, abusive of power and embarrassing for the city of New Jersey to even consider to use this company. This company needs to be cleaned up, The owner should be embarrassed about his employees And performance.. If you feel like you’ve been abused or taken advantage of or anything in that nature, please report to the city of New Jersey, this company does not deserve a license. Over hundreds of similar reviews. SHUT THEM DOWN

Other than the fact we had to pay for a tow ...the guy at the front desk was very respectful and his vibe was nice.....very peaceful to us...we never got his name!!

Am I happy these crooks stole my car... no. However, the piss poor attitude of the workers at b&c towing is hostile, angry, argumentative, defensive... etc. Will anything be done about them? I doubt it. They're about to be hit with some a-hole tax in return for the reasons i stated earlier. I hope they're not insured so they can pay and see how it feels to be robbed. I'll be seeing them soon enough.

I’m convinced they have a contract with the city. They pry on those living in the city. They are outside waiting for those who do not move their car for street cleaning so they can tow it and charge you $233. It has been years but they got me today. I wish they were this diligent with towing when outsiders park in permit only parking!

The owner towed my Freight shaker and My load after I was t-boned by a SUV that ran red light. I never had experience that everyone is posting he not only gave me some where to lay down till my truck got back on road but he went out his way to take me get supper and lunch. He also delivered my load to Pfc so I could get back to my family after my truck got fixed. Treat people the way u want be treated!!

In the name of Christ, expose this businesses unethical practices. Charged me $500 to release me car, but would not properly give me details on how to get my car released. Visited this place more than 4 times. They are trying to keep your vehicle.

pro: during office hours they seemingly are great about answering the phone con: i just mentioned office hours…. a towing company that ISNT 24/7!!!!…..????? and the powers that be can only be bothered to hire a nearly good-for-nothing security guard bw 4pm-8am… the person can’t even tell you if your car is in this companies possession!!!! hours are ONLY 8-4pm…. for those of us with day jobs….. til at least 5pm….. who live a good half hour away…..you get the point

The better of the two services used by NPD, towing service was awful getting the car back, although they left it in a deserted dry area, and charged me the minimum fee to get it out

Our car was towed even though it wasn't illegally parked, but whatever. The reason for this 1 star review was because whoever towed our car from this company stole our chargers. Like really? You had to steal the chargers from a car? Either the owner knows this and doesn't care, it's like a bonus to his workers, or maybe they're underpaid (probably) so they have to steal. I don't know, either way, incredibly unprofessional to steal from a car you towed.

I'm so grateful for Danny, Frank, and Al (I believe). My friend's car was towed, and although there was a fee, and we were not happy, the staff was personable, treated us with respect, and assisted as best they could. We are truly grateful. The car was kept in good condition as well.

Towed me 3 times (different spot) because apparently there was a sign that said "no parking" for street cleaning. I went with my friend to take picture to prove there was none since it got knocked down or something. (its Newark, sometimes the signs are missing) They said there is one every block and we walked the entire street and saw none. I tried explaining and they said then peruse us in court and then hung up. The tickets/tow cost is cheaper than court fees so they know they can get away with towing students. I had to walk from Rutgers to them 3 times (4 miles) in the cold and rain at night with my books and laptop. One time I paid ahead of time but by the time I got there it was the next day so they charged me an extra $10. Every time dealing with them they were rude to me. Such heartless people...They go in fleet of tow trucks and they wait for the time so they can tow you and collect their prize. I actually SAW my car being driven away once, they are VERY good with time when they have to be, like to the second they wait to screw you over. When I picked it up they rough handled my car because it had the mirrors pushed in and some scratches. They feel very arrogant and powerful when dealing with customers...uh I meant victims

There isnt much to say about this company besides for just being a straight up fraud. scamming every day hard working people at their hardest moment. after reading reviews and having an encounter with them today. i feel obligated to tell everyone of you that has been taken advantage of to file a NJ complaint: njconsumeraffairs.state.… lets end this tyrany and false belief of power because they are licensed by "policce" oof.... enough complaints come in and they lose their license. Help me prevent the next innocent person from being taken advantage of by these animals
