The worst / shady towing company in town. Towed me after getting out of my car for 2 mins. Charged me $125 and took it less than a mile away. Just ripping off people left and right. Had at least 30 cars towed when I was there picking mine up. And the city of auburn wonders why locals hate going anywhere near downtown
Horrible towing service. They will tow you if you leave your car even for 5 minutes! $125 to get it back. Do not leave your car anywhere without a parking pass because trust me, they WILL tow you and be so quick about it.
Towed my car even with a valid parking pass showing. Scraped my front spoiler. Even weirder they required me to show nothing to get my car back. No ID or anything to make sure that was my vehicle. Only needed the $125 and they wouldn't let me inspect my vehicle for damage before I paid. They also never reached out I had to call the police, so I didn't know until shortly before closing time that my car was gone. Don't give them any business, and sue them if you can. Shut this place down
Horrible. My son, 3rd year student had car towed from his parking place at his apartment with current parking pass in full view on his rear view mirror. $125

Rented from this man for years and worked on all his tow trucks and even put tow away signs all around down town ... went to the first football game of the season paid a guy to park and still was towed he knew it was my vehicle and still towed it !!! Very money hungry and un professional ! Yall better pay attention to your parking passes cause some fraudulent business has been done through this company !! Parking passes just come up gone outta thin air ... very unprofessional business and no remorse for anyone regardless of the situation! In the long run this business will pay for wrong doings !
These guys are the worst. Both my cars towed in 2 days. My parking pass is on my dash. They towed both of my cars. I hate these guys. I will not be paying them
I did not have money to pay for my impounded car. I called and tried to kindly explain my situation to reduce the cost, and the old man who runs this place immediately got insulting and defensive about it. Only in Alabama can you find sad people like this.
Your usual shady towing company. Marks all vehicles as having invalid or not visible parking passes even if they're hanging from the mirror. No effort at reaching out or anything like that since they want it to sit for a couple days and rack up a higher lot fee. Would be one star, but my vehicle didn't seemed damaged in any way, which is more than you can say about a lot of places.
Terrible company with terrible morals. This company not only hates veterans but has a staff of inept and mentally away employees. They lie about their hours and have some sort of scam worked out with local political officials to have a monopoly of town scam towing. They will tow your car even if you have a parking pass and they do not care what you have to say. They will scratch/damage your car in transit. Many colleagues and friends' have never had even a decent experience with these people. Shame on Auburn for letting a business like this dominate a scam as such. Also good luck getting a hold of someone on the phone. They charge 125 for initial towing and an additional 25 for every day after. They will wait shortly before they close (at 3pm) to thus screw you into paying another 25$ to get it the next day.
I called to report vehicles that were illegally parked in our lot. I was told to go to sleep and then hung up on. Whoever runs this business seems to be completely unethical.
I called to obtain a record for my vehicle and I was told “that’s none of my business” then the representative (older male) proceeded to hang up on me mid sentence. This company is doing illegal handling of vehicles. They claim to have “no records”.
From out of town and they towed my car within me being out of it for 10 minutes. All of my medication was in the car and I was in the middle of an asthma attack when I ran into the restaurant to grab a drink because sometimes things that are cold helps. When I came out for the rest of my emergency medicine not only was my purse gone but all of my medicine and my car. They clearly stated THEY KNEW that I ran into into the store but told me it was not their concern and I needed to start keeping my medicine on me then charged me $125 to get my car and stuff back while still having the athsma attack. Concerned about money 1st. This is shady business but that seems to be all the reviews. My question is why hasn't Auburn shut this down unless they are getting a throwback from it.
had my car towed at 3 am from the west edge apartments. i called immediately and the guy on the phone was super kind and helpful and let me know their business hours and everything. the woman i picked me car up from was extremely professional and nice as well. yes, i was ticked off my car got towed but it was my fault and not theirs. they got my car to the lot safely and that’s all i car about. thank you guys for your service <3
This company illegally towed my car. IN my apartment complex. My car was in repair shop and had a rental car. Parked the car in my approved assigned space and placed the parking sticker in car. Car was towed. The driver who apparently might be the owner refused to give me his name after 5 times. He was shown the sticker in the car and said he did not see it. For the rental car sticker was placed so would not get towed.I assumed he would simply release car and apologise, but he did not and blackmailed to pay $120 or would not release it. Still was told "LOOK AT THE STICKER" and he did not care. I tried to speak with the driver nicely and basically he did not care. Police notified and will legally proceed against this company since so wrong to steal.
This business is borderline pushing the limits of the law. Their signs state 24/7 service in SOME locations and others you’re left to assume that they’ll tow you from them. Very sketchy business in the Auburn/Opelika area. I can respect tow away zones and the purpose they serve, however, it seems this business wishes to reap on college students wherever they can. I really do not understand how they haven’t been hit with a lawsuit. They do not have an address listed anywhere for collection of your vehicle and it doesn’t seem they’re listed under AUPD’s list of business’s that tow. It doesn’t s absolutely miraculous that somebody hasn’t filed a mechanics lean on their business for illegally towing in non tow away zones.These guys need to be out of business.
They towed my friends car, and after reading the reviews before we got there we were nervous it was going to be a bad experience. But Rick was very nice, and got there super quick, and we did not have any issues like the other reviews did.
Just towed me out of my own apartment, and when I called to tell them, they said thats not truthful, owner is deprived and the people that work for them are just as sorry. Ive dealt with 3 other towing companies in auburn and never seen more disrespect and disregard for what someone has to say. They are unprofessional and by far the most unintelligent group of people I've ever talked to in my life. Absolutely disgraceful to the people that actually have good towing services.
They are able to tow your vehicle without the Property calling. They drive around unmarked vehicles to see if you have a permit for parking then call the Tow truck. I find this very deceptive. There is no way for me to visit my Daughter without having to call the property before hand to say I’ll be there on this date so I won’t be towed.
Towed me out of my own apartment parking lot twice in one week, first time for “displaying an expired tag” when we are registered in the system and I pay my rent on time and without hesitation. But you know what? Fine… let it slide.
Then asked someone to get me a temporary tag until I am able to have time to go by the office and get the new one. Because some of us work for our money and pay for college in order to not end up creating inconveniences (to those who actually work) just to make some money.
But today they towed me again claiming that the pass displayed was fake. At least could have a clean place or a good looking lot with the money they are stealing. Instead of running such off of an abandoned crossfit gym and never having someone at the office because is probably too busy trying to count how many thumbs are in one hand.
Count these two cents as a tip on the $250.
HDK towed my car from guest parking in edge west. I called and they said they didn’t have my car so i showed up to the office and no one was there. my car was in the tow lot. i had to call a number on the door to get service and had to wait for someone to get back to the office and help me. super unprofessional. plus it’s dead week and all i want to do is study but i have to deal with this.
Parked in an empty McDonald’s parking lot to pick up a to-go order at Moe’s Southwest. Was gone 10 minutes at max and my truck was towed. Did not have time to pick up my truck that day and was told if I did not get it by 4:30 I would be charged $20 extra on top of the $125 I was already being charged. Went to get my truck and had to wait forever for him to get back. Place is run out of a dump and is very unprofessional. I’m not one to say ban all towing, but on a random Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. towing someone in an empty parking lot is completely uncalled for. Will be reaching out to McDonald’s and to the city of Auburn about this business.
I was in town for one night for Camp War Eagle with my daughter and got towed. But I didn’t have a parking pass so that’s on me. When I met the gentleman to pick up my car, he was very professional and he apologized for the inconvenience. I drive a 2016 M5 and it sits about 5 inches off the ground. How he was able to tow my car without any damage is beyond me. Sucks to get towed, but I am appreciative of this man.
Absolute terrible place to deal with. They have nothing better to do than tow in the middle of the night. This is the first place my debit card had ever been denied at. I had plenty of money for the towing price, but for some reason my bank did not think it was a secure place to be used at. Brings up red flags
HDK Towing is a predatory towing service. Not only do they tow illegally but when offered to pay to drop the car (while still on private property) they said no and drove away. THIS IS PREDATORY TOWING! I have given HDK towing hundred of dollars to have my car handed back to me after it has been towed illegally. I am not the only one in the city of Auburn with this experience.
I was towed from my own parking lot in the morning. I called to ask about it the OWNER himself picked up stated that I have to pay a 100 dollars to get it out. The parking pass fell on floor and was towed. This is all happening at 6am. I have to work at 7 and then he proceeds to tell me after I agreed to pay for my mistake this mf then says. You can pick up the car at 8:00am. Then click hung up on me. Even when I told him I wanted to ask a question.
I’ve lived in auburn for 3 years now and this is the only tow company that drives around in the middle of the night, into complexes, and tows people, doesn’t matter if you’ve been parked there for 10min, they will tow you. Also, they will illegally tow your car even if you catch them while they are hooking it up. It is illegal to continue towing a car if the owner can get there before the car is secure.
