This place is great. Plenty of seating inside and out for small or large groups. They have mini golf, cornhole, billiards and a few other games to play. The food is excellent just like the avondale location. We had pepperoni pizza and pork and greens. The pineapple saison craft beer was good. Huge dog park to. I would compare it to ferus brewery in trussville. Great place to relax, enjoy good food and drink. There is an outside and indoor bar, also the restrooms are huge. You order food behind the indoor bar, they give you a number and deliver it to your table. I will definitely visit regularly.

This was my first time coming. I was warmly greeted by DARIUS. And we found a place to sit and we were checked out and served by Lauren. She was very helpful, kind and knowledgeable about the menu. This place went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. The kids absolutely loved playing the arcades and playing outside. We definitely will be back. Thank you to all the staff at the back porch.

Enjoyed an evening catching up with an old friend here. The pizza was really good. The fried green tomatoes were good, but greasy. The bartender was super nice, but not super responsive, on their phone pretty frequently. I would definitely go back.

Went to Saws with family. My daughter got the Fried Green Tomato BLT. It had very little lettuce and no sandwich sauce as described on the menu. The only person we saw was the one taking orders. It was pathetic. Won't go back. Would post a picture but not sure how to.

Me and my husband stopped and ate dinner here as we were traveling through to Gatlinburg from Gulf coast Mississippi !! This was phenomenal! We order the sampler and chose it pulled pork and the sausage with baked beans and potato salad! The meats were sooooo good! And add the amazing White sauce!!! Only bad thing is that I was crazy about the baked beans but other than food was incredible!!! We also got the pimento cheese and pepper jelly with pork rinds another hit!!! Completely delicious! Atmosphere was amazing live music was playing and the decor is so cute and rustic!!! Love the ability to see the brewery as well!!! So cool

Food was greedy and bbq sauce was running off the plates when the sat them on our table. Fried green tomatoes were soggy and beans were nasty tasting. Fried pickles were too hard to bite into. Definitely not worth the high prices.

I’m really disappointed with how The Backyard has seemed to go downhill. The atmosphere is still great for families, but the food and service has declined greatly. During our most recent visit, we stood at the order counter for >5 mins waiting for someone to greet us. Not a big deal because we can be patient, but 2 staff members (1 in the kitchen and one standing at the counter of what looked like to-go food?) looked at us yet didn’t acknowledge us at all which was odd. I was in food service for 10+ years and a “someone will be right there” goes a long way, but it’s not that deep. I wouldn’t complain about just that. When the person who takes orders finally arrived, she acted completely irritated that we were there. She took our order but forgot to give us our drink cups, so I asked for them and she gave me a discernible annoyed look. I moved on just assuming we all have our days. You never know what’s going on in someone’s world. When our food arrived, one item was luke warm at best and the onion rings were pretty burnt. I tried them because I’m not going to send something back unless it isn’t edible, but they tasted of burnt cooking grease. I mentioned it to the very nice food runner, who honestly was the only redeeming factor in this experience, and they said they completely understood and noticed, but the kitchen gets annoyed if the staff asks them to remake food before they send it out. Verbatim. They brought new ones out, but they were the exact same. Burnt and tasted like they had been cooked in grease that hadn’t been changed in at least a day, if not more. Maybe it was an off day, but idk that I’ll come back. $40 is a lot to spend on meh food and I question what’s going on in the back if they’re ok sending out poor quality food. All in all, the collective experience just wasn’t great.

I've never tried the BBQ, but have tried the pizza several times and it's great pizza, just on the small side for the price. Good service at every visit, and a huge outdoor seating area. The Porter and Octoberfest beers are solid but a bit overpriced at $8 a pour.

Food was ok. Better at the other saws location. Bar service was maybe the worst I have ever seen. Guy had no interest except in the two girls at the end of the bar. He must have been fired from all other bars. I would say he cost this location between us and the other customers we talked to at least $200, $400. He has no customer service at all. Please go look at your camera system and if you still want to employee him then it’s just a matter of time for this place is out of business. It could be easily so much better.

We had a fun time last night. We were celebrating our youngest daughter‘s birthday. This place was an awesome venue for kids and adults. We rented a covered space got pizza from one place and wings from another. Drinks are allowed outside in this designated area. A great shout out to Amanda who helped my wife at the last minute.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went here expecting to enjoy a decent meal, but what I got was an absolute joke. I ordered fried chicken and what I was served was basically just crust and fat—no meat, no substance, just greasy, chewy junk. My friend ordered BBQ and got the same garbage: pure fat pretending to be food. We both looked at our plates in disbelief. When I politely asked for a better piece, they had the nerve to tell me “that’s how every piece is.” Seriously? If every piece is just fat and crust, maybe you shouldn’t be serving chicken or BBQ at all. I’ve had better food at gas stations. Don’t waste your money or your stomach on this place. It’s overpriced, lazy, and just plain gross. Total disappointment. Never going back.

Don't sleep on Saw's BBQ! I'm from Memphis, so I am picky about my Q, but I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The BBQ was melt-in-my-mouth delicious. Bonus... They have deviled eggs. ?

$23 for nachos with no lettuce no tomatoes or no jalapeño. Just salty chips and burned ground beef topped with queso. I know every place is different but who has bell peppers on nachos. This was just nasty and salty and way too expensive for nachos.

Was recommended to check out this restaurant by some local folks, specifically the chicken sandwich. Not sure what’s going on or what the plan was for this chicken sandwich as there are whole pieces of chicken bones inside the sandwich. It wasn’t a mistake as my colleague ordered a sandwich as well and both had bones inside! Who puts bones in sandwiches? Straight to jail!

Decent service and cool venue ; food is awful . Probably the worst BBQ sandwich I’ve ever had . Huge pieces were almost boiled like with a regular bun. No charring at all , and meat had no flavor . Do not try this place if coming from out of town .

If you are in the mood for BBQ I highly recommend this place. The sandwiches are big enough for 2 people to share. We had the original pulled pork with deviled eggs and sweet potatoe fries. Small beer selection but good. Sorry no food pics.

Worst nachos I’ve ever had. Cheese not melted, fake liquid cheese, no beans or other toppings. Paid $7 extra for chicken and got barely anything.

Had lunch here yesterday while shopping and loved it! I had the pulled pork plate with fries and mac & cheese for sides! It also came with 2 slices of white bread and pickles. The food was brought out super fast and was smoking hot! The meat was seasoned and already had some sauce on it, and the extra cup of sauce they brought had a bit of heat/spice to it - super good! Was very pleased all around!!

I absolutely love to visit here. From the beginning to the end this place is so good. During the warm months you can eat outside, play corn hole, mini golf, listen to live music. The kiddos can run around on the turf and watch a movie at the drive in. During the winter months you can still enjoy outside or stay inside for live music, pool tables, video games, and great food. From the cheese pizza pie, salad, fries and BBQ there are so many options on the menu. Just all around good food, good people and good fun.

The BBQ sandwich was worth it. Coleslaw was okay. Chili cheese fries were so good. Arcade games for a dollar. Great kid friendly environment. They make pizzas, sandwiches and Saw’s BBQ is merged.

A nice BBQ restaurant at the Grand River Outlets. Great service and rustic atmosphere. Had the combo platter with pork and chicken thighs. Pork was ok and the thighs were some of the best I've ever had. The white sauce was a superb tangy tasting topping. Sides included stuffed eggs that were a little too sweet for my taste and greens that were very good. Others at the table had thigh dinners with mac and cheese that were both very good. The Greek salad was huge and had fresh ingredients with a superb dressing. The fried green tomatoes were also an excellent side item. Overall, this is a great place to eat at while shopping with the family at the outlets.

We hosted a family event here for about 30 people on a Sunday morning. The staff was so accommodating and friendly! The arcade was fun, the food was great, and mini golf was a blast! It was perfect, especially for a group of adults and children — everyone enjoyed themselves. I definitely recommend it for an event, party, or just a fun date night!

Very great food! Lady at the front counter could of been nicer but it's fine. I got the pepperoni pizza which was a 10/10. For my dessert I got a banana pudding which has good also. I accidentally dropped my banana pudding leaving and someone who worked there offered to get me a new one for free and I appreciate that a lot!

Rented a cabana for my son's high school graduation with catered food from Saw's. Rachael and her team could not have been more accommodating! Super reasonable for three hours and came with complimentary putt putt - enjoyed by all guests ages 3-84 loved it!!! We love the venue and will be back to enjoy live music throughout the summer on Saturdays and Sundays.

I have eaten here three times now, and I never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious. On this trip, I actually tried the "Neighbor's Pie." It was good. Some of my family also had the pulled pork plate with greens. The Parmesan Potato Wedges were pretty good, too. Great staff and experience!!

We used to frequent this location and have purchased food from both Saw’s BBQ and Neighbor’s. After a pitiful lunch on our last visit this week, we have decided not to return. We loved the Cuban sandwiches and have gotten them on multiple occasions, however, our last was extremely small, nearly half the size of what would normally be served and what is advertised in their digital marketing photos within their location. For $12 for a Cuban and bag of chips, plus a drink for another $3, this meal was certainly not worth $15. We spent $32 and some change total for both of us to have these pitiful sandwiches that didn’t have as much meat on them and a tiny slice of deli ham. There’s too much competition to pay that much for such measly sandwiches. We spoke to an employee who brought the food to us, but he had a very nonchalant attitude like it was no big deal. Based on our last few visits, this place seems to be going down hill.

You really need to go with someone who has been there before. If you go to the very back of the parking lot where the drive in movie theater screens are then you will be close. Park then walk about 100 yards until you see the put put greens. Saws bbq is in the building to the right. Its a fun place with a lively atmosphere. Saws bbq has some different stuff like pork on greens. Its worth a try. I gave them 4 stars only because its not easy to find. You can eat outside and bring your puppychild (dog) so long as they are well behaved and on a leash.

Such a fun place, great food! And lots of beverage choices! Home brews and mixed drinks too. Saws BBQ and the pizza place is sooo good. Try The Handful with Caesar Salad! Salad on top of a pizza!
