Today around 4:00 PM, I was driving southbound a on I-65 a couple of miles before Verbena exit 200 outside when I had a very concerning experience with one of Mark’s Towing flatbed trucks.

I was traveling about 79 mph while passing another vehicle when this tow truck began aggressively tailgating me at an unsafe distance. After I completed my pass and moved over, the driver sped past me at a very high rate of speed and continued flying down the highway soing at least 90mph.

After some time, the truck quickly slowed down, merged into the right lane, and exited at Hwy 200.

This kind of behavior is extremely dangerous, especially from a large, heavy tow truck in active afternoon traffic. Companies in the towing business should prioritize safety, not create risks for other drivers.

I hope management addresses this and reinforces safe driving practices before someone gets seriously hurt. If this is how your drivers operate, it’s only a matter of time before they’re not just cleaning up a crash, they’re causing one.

They were quick on the spot

My engine locked up on the interstate. I had it towed to them. They looked at it and told me that it would take two weeks and cost four thousand dollars total. Finding that kind of money is hard for me right now. Well I did it and we are nine weeks in now and they say they are finished at five thousand dollars and they want to look at my A/C because it doesn’t work all of a sudden? They had to order specialty tools just like one of the other comments said for me as well. Just don’t go there.

Update: my A/C was fine, they just unplugged it

My son broke down on the Interstate and they were there in less than 30 minutes, they're awesome

This place kept my vehicle from me for 5 days due to them being closed for the holidays. At least that's what I was told, but went by everyday and saw different vehicles that had been towed during those days. Lawsuit coming soon.

Just needed new brakes put on and tires balanced. They kept the truck for 2 weeks, and charged 5x more than should have. Charged us for tools they needed specifically for our truck and they kept them.

I don't think this Marks Towing and Auto Repair deserves half of a star. Do not waste your time or money at this business! Just like some of the other comments and ratings on this website, this business will keep your vehicle for months and months, claim they fix it, then you go pick up your vehicle and it's still not running. They expect you to pay an unreasonably high repair bill before you're able to leave with your vehicle. Very unprofessional and unethical business practices.

We were in a very bad car accident on our way to Destin. The driver of Mark's Towing was at the scene shortly after our accident. He helped us get in the truck to take us down and wait for a ride to get a rental car. He cleaned up all of the mess. As we walked in Mark's Tow center, was greeted by a couple of ladies and they took very good care of us. One of the associates offered to take us to get a rental car but I had already called my sister for a ride since she lived 45 minutes away and we were 3 hours away from home.. We are very thankful for the caring and concern of their staff.

Will rip you off and over charge you.

-100 stars...there is so many things to write about this place first my son car blew an engine took it here they gave a price for used one ($)they got it in well it locked up to so had to order another one i should have stopped there but he needed the car so bad we had to do it. he gets it back way later and it won't crank the next a.m and is slow to turn over once it kicks in. he drives it engine is crap. but we have to have it. finally it got so bad we took it back.( and its an hour from us so it is not easy) my son says they messed it up why take it back but no choice already spent to much money on it. they cant find anything wrong with it so told them to change brakes and do an alignment so we pick car up next day late and it wont crank. they take it back in shop and say its a wire to the battery that my son could replace himself. so we take it home and the next day it would not do anything to crank we changed the cord still nothing had it towed to a shop near us it was the alternator so thats more $. .. how did they not know that . and NOW the front end is shaking and the brakes are squealing. i am a single mom and maxed all my cards to fix this car cause i cant afford another car payment and now its just a lawn ornament. i am beyond disgusted. engine has a year warranty but who wants to take it back when it comes home worse. i never do reviews cause i do not like to talk ill of people but i have to let others know that this places work is bad bad bad do not go there learn from me before you spend any money there i hope this helps others to go elsewhere.

Please please please don't even take your lawn mower there. The work is not good at all and the employee Cliff is a very very rude person. Their work is awful. They failed to bleed my brakes and I went right through a stop sign. When I went back they said nothing was wrong but when I checked they never even moved my vehicle, and that's just the beginning

I wish I could give them negative stars! I had to call Mark's after I accidentally put the wrong fuel in my car. They came and towed my car and drained my gas tank and put new fuel in it. When I finally got to Tennessee I realized they didn't put my exhaust system back on and my muffler was missing. I called them and they told me those parts were missing when I brought the car in!!!! I told them I know for a fact they were there and then their whole story changed again. Bottom line they stole parts off my car & took advantage of a young woman traveling alone with a child. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!
