Hot dogs are good a tad overpriced but the customer service here on this particular day 11/19 was HORRENDOUS. There is a possibility that ill never visit again
My co worker and I come here everytime we have to work in the back of Fairhope.
We love it! The food is amazing and the people there are so very kind. Its our favorite spot for lunch!
First off the food is amazing but also the atmosphere is really great and gives you kind of a really cool feeling. Furthermore their services awesome in the people working there are always super friendly and willing to help you. Also an extra thing is that their large cups are free refills so if you leave the store you can actually come back with the same cup and grab another refill which is pretty cool!
What happened to this place?
The new owner often appears intoxicated and really should reconsider making out with her boyfriend in the parking lot—it’s unprofessional and off-putting.
My biggest concern is the condition of the items being sold. If you stop in, make sure to check the expiration dates on anything you buy. Be cautious if you question the freshness of their products—doing so might not be well received.
Tread carefully.
Small, but packed with snack foods and yummy deli type sandwiches. Daily specials offered- the Ruben is delicious!

I stopped at this little place on the return trip of my bike ride. It is a quaint place that has some groceries, pop, beer, wine, and they sell homemade sandwiches.
I grabbed some lemonade and a sandwich.
While I ate my sandwich on the picnic bench outside. Several folks stopped to grab refreshments.
Stopped in for a couple of sandwiches, there were 3 options, all pre made and wrapped in cellophane. I purchased them and when I brought them home realized they croissant was soggy and had black stuff in the side and the sun roll was really hard, neither sandwich appeared to be fresh and so $14 worth of sandwiches ended up in the garbage.
Don’t let the lack of parking deter you they have the best wraps around! I’ve been in the restaurant business for 25 years and I love what they do at battles wharf market
Nice local convenience store with breakfast and lunch options (sandwiches, hotdogs, salads, etc). I got a cheeseburger which was made fresh and so good. My partner got 2 hotdogs and it was good too. They have daily special too which the ones for this week looked really good. I would definitely go back.
It's a local gas station but has so much great freshly cooked foods in stock for you to have an amazing lunch!! Highly recommend for a cheap and delicious local Fairhope meal
Battles Wharf store is my most favorite place to eat lunch on the Eastern Shore. Every time I go in I ask the owner to pick me out something to eat. He never fails to surprise me. Today i had an amazing Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad with saltine crackers. It was AMAZING! Yesterday I had a grilled chicken sandwich that had been premade. The bun was a bit soggy so I asked for a new bun and I remade it and it was soooooo good. It is usually so hard to find a healthy choice for lunch on the go. But with Battle's Wharf Store making awesome food everyday were all set. Also they just opened Fairhope Juice Co. next door and they have PERFECT fresh juices. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had the roast beef sandwich and it was really good! Prices were reasonable. Would highly recommend. Not a lot of room to sit and eat but worth it nonetheless.
