You have better luck looking on the web on how to remove a gallbladder or do any surgery for that matter, than going here. Worst hospital in Wyoming, better yet worst company, banner health. They’d rather you suffer and die. Hints why someone died in their lobby 2-3 years ago.

After reading all the negative reviews I was very concerned for my brother’s surgery and stay at Banner. Fortunately, the entire experience was top notch. Everyone was kind and professional. The place was clean and organized. I couldn’t be more happily surprised!

The hospital has so declined to what it used to be when it was run by the county .the food is served cold on Styrofoam that melts when they put anything hot in it so eone is gonna get burnt by that and the house is keeping doesn't clean the rooms until the client leaves the eating in the Styrofoam is what surprised me to me the cost with fake silverware would cost a lot more you would save a lot more with dishes. Also when nuses answer call lights they shouldn't just ask the patient are you breathing and walk off

I like this hospital. Even though I parked in West Visitor Parking, I had no problem finding my way to the Central tower elevators. The signage is easy to follow.

I had a surgery in November, I was forced to leave before completely off of anesthesia. Rushed my ride to get the vehicle. Treated us poorly, completely unprofessional. No check ins post op. My nurse was incompetent. This was one of the worst experiences of my life.

Please think hard before you leave a loved one in this facilities, Surgical Floor with out some in the room to manage their care. The Charge Nurse on the Surgical Floor informed me when I called in on January 6, 2026 at 4:53am concerned after hearing from a highly stressed family member about the care they were receiving at “she shouldn’t be saying it but my family member needed to take charge of his healthcare and not be calling a family member.” Her statement truly validated the level of care my family member was receiving. The CEO Lance Porter and the entire executive leadership team should be ashamed of this level of care.

Honestly if I had a better place to go for ER care I would. Unfortunately there is no where else (except douglas who is in the same boat). Wait 4-5 hours. Fine. I'm not dying (as your tests have shown). I can wait. But the asinine charges? They charge an arm and a leg for the most basic test. A couple thousand dollars. And then when you submit you cant afford said bill- I've been waiting a year to hear back. It's supposed to take 3-4 weeks. ?

Waited for the admitting doctor for over 4 hours in the ER to get my mom a hospital room on a very calm and quiet night. ER doctor and staff was great but care went downhill fast after that. Absolutely no reason for something so simple to take so long.

They were very nice. Knowledgeable. They took great care of me and always there when needed. Everything was very clean.

I've delivered two precious babies there. The staff was always professional and the facility was always very clean. ❤️

Arrived with pain at an 8, left with pain at an 8 and a “sorry we couldn’t help you.” No X-ray of the golf ball sized swelling in my jaw, no concern about my pain-induced high blood pressure. Given 2 pills and an ice pack and sent on my way. But hey, I was in an out in under an hour, so they’re numbers probably look great.

I see a nephrologist for a kidney disease. I have had ongoing issues with this nurse Rosemary that feels the need to go discuss my plan with anyone but me, and then threaten to not treat me if I do not do all the testing. Now, I do have to complete one of the tests every month for my medication, ok fine. Then they tell me to do all these test, which I've never had to do as many times in entire lifetime. I've had my kidney disease when I was 5. She's on a power trip and I'm not happy with how she handles things. Also, she discussed my information with someone that isn't even a nurse. Not to mention they are always 30 mins late for my telehealth visits. Do yourself a favor and explore other option if possible before going to this office!

I was transfered from another hospital needing a higher level of care. I was admitted to 6th floor. I came in under tremendous pain and at first it was like I was an inconvenience and not on top of my pain. That was the first day. 2nd day I had a wonderful nurse Allison and she advocated for me. When hospitalist wasn't responding to nurse concerning my pain Allison put patient care first and contacted the nursing director and Phillip the surgical director( I might be wrong on his position) and they took the time to come talk to me and let me know that I shouldn't have to be in this pain and I was well taken care of from that point on. I had some amazing nurses and cna's. I was in the hospital for over a week and transparent with my care. All the Dr's and nurses took very good care of me. The dietary had some issues, my food that I had ordered some came burnt, rude at times (a male) the food didn't look very appealing, eggs were runny and toast burnt nothing attractive about it. It came cool and drinks were lukewarm. Rad tecs were very informative and some inpatient. They figured out my diagnosis. So from my standpoint outside of first part of my stay I had very good care. Thank you.

I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding my experience during my recent two-day stay at Banner WMC, with the exception of the emergency room services. During my stay on medical floor I acutely began experiencing intense 9/10 pain wretching and vomiting blood, it took 30 minutes for a nurse to respond to my room after I called for assistance four times and explicitly stated to a CNA's, "I seriously need help now, I feel like I'm going to die." The hospitalist then ordered oral Tramadol, which was entirely inappropriate given my active vomiting. While my floor RN, Megan, was excellent and provided what care she could, she was limited by the lack of physician orders. I did not see a hospitalist once during my entire stay. Furthermore, the night staff was consistently disruptive, banging around, yelling, and speaking loudly while simply taking vitals, showing no consideration for patients sharing a room. Slamming doors in the halls, talking loudly all night. I even attempted to close our door 3 times to which my RN would leave open each time she left. The overall lack of consideration, common sense, and compassion I experienced on the medical floor was unacceptable and has significantly increased my concern for the well-being of patients under their care. I do, however, want to commend the emergency room staff for their outstanding work. Dr. Washut and the entire ER team did a fantastic job, and I sincerely thank them for their help.

Honestly, I am terrified to go to this hospital to even have my child. I am currently still pregnant and have had the worst expierence with the last time I went in thinking I was in labor. I got all my symptoms completely dismissed and got treated like an inconvenience. I voiced all my concerns only to be ignored for over an hour and it had been at least 30 minutes of being in a room with consistent contractions and no one even came to hook me up to monitors or come take my urine sample that we were told to leave. We had to tell them repeatedly that my urine needed to still be processed due to some of my symptoms only for the night nurse to come in and throw my sample in the trash and discharge us without even running the sample. Then I got a phonecall a couple days ago asking for a payment upfront for the delivery even though we have already paid 1300$ cash out of pocket for my delivery plan as well as having excellent insurance. I am max out of pocket for insurance and they told me I needed to render a payment of 1000$ or more towards a bill that hasn't even happened yet considering IM STILL PREGNANT! I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. Im tired of the greed and not being treated like a patient and instead another paycheck in their pocket when everyone is already struggling to survive.

Went in for what I was told was going to be a quick check. I sat in the waiting for 3 hours before just giving up and leaving. Never show up when they tell you, they schedule the doctor at least 30 minutes after they tell you to be there. Waste of time for a simple check. Unless you're dying, find somewhere else to get things done.

My labor experience in the delivery ward was amazing! My nurse Nici and Jessica were the best, they helped me out so much and they were so nice. My doctor Sheridan was amazing as well. Highly recommend any of these amazing women to help if your pregnant.

This hospital is a joke. The worst hospital in wyoming. Popped something in my back, I was sent on referral by my doctor who called them before I was sent over for emergency imaging. 6 damn hours of waiting in pain. They tried to say there isnt anything there. Weird where did all the symptoms come from after that pop? I had already had 3 different doses of a high NSAID today so there solution was more NSAIDs oh yes please because that's not going to cause damage of any kind. Worst place ever.

This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. My mom has been at this hospital for 11 days and she has been moved 6 times, 5 of those have been on same floor, the Neurology floor. I have never been to a hospital that basically closes on the weekends. My mom had her stroke on a Saturday and has never seen a doctor in person. Why is there a Neurology floor, if there’s no Neurologist assigned to the floor? They only have tele-neurologists. The number of screw ups, lack of communication, and lack of care is unacceptable. My mom spent Sunday & Monday waiting for an echo and an MRI. I ended up having to go to her cardiologist’s office to pick up the MRI order because the hospital staff thought the cardiologist had to come to the hospital to sign the order, which was not true. An occupational therapist that was suppose to help my mom shower somehow soaked her clothes before she even took the shower. A different OT was requested and we were told that they would send a different OT, but they sent her again and my mom refused her services because she didn’t want to get soaked again. A phlebotomist got mad because she couldn’t find the vein and walked out, leaving all her supplies on my Mom’s bed. The list goes on and on. I wouldn’t suggest this hospital to my worst enemy.

Casper deserves better! Such horrific customer and patient care. My son tested positive for mono in Laramie. He came home to rest this weekend. He started spitting up large quantities of blood. We took him to the absolute worst ERs we have ever been to. First of all, you cannot find anyone actually working, all the staff is eating in patient areas, visiting about personal lives and not a single example of professionalism is demonstrated. My son goes to triage to then be sent back to waiting room for hours on end. Triage is a fancy way of saying go sit with everyone else in this town that is ill, next to potential COVID, RSV..... My son has mono which can affect his spleen and has compromised his immune system. So what does this terrible ER do, have them sit together instead of having them separate in their own ER bed. When the doors to the ER open all I see is more staff eating at the nurses station, talking about their non-work related topics and playing fun games as co-workers. Guess what I didn't see???? A full or busy ER. Banner you are embarrassing! Something needs to be done about you. Our children and community deserve to have quality care, professional care, and efficient care. What we get is a bunch of health care workers who go to work to eat, hangout, and ignore their responsibilities. Saw an elderly man come in saying he needed a wheelchair for the woman he was with. He said she was struggling to get out of car and not one staff member at the nurses station put their food down, offered to help, or even took a look to see what the need was. One just pointed to a wall and said look over there. This man was in his 70s. BANNER THE ONLY REASON ANYONE GOES TO YOU IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE. I regret it. Douglas is now our only option moving forward. I do not trust you to care for anyone but the calorie intake of your staff. This is not a free health clinic. We are paying customers who demand services. There was absolutely zero emergencies, zero hard working staff, zero reasons why my son had to wait for hours so you could all have your social time.

Twenty-eight years ago, I had open heart surgery. Dr. Steplock was the Dr. in charge. He did seven bi-passes on me. I asked how long this would last and was told ten years. Still going strong. The "Heart Hugger" I was given has kept me comfortable all these years also. I wish to thank everyone at this great hospital for all that they do to keep people happy. I would recommend this hospital to anyone that needs help. Thank you all again.

Drs were great. But they weren't even from the hospital....the nurses are terrible. The after care of my surgery . Left me with no oxygen when I needed it and I was looked at like I was crazy because I was upset and crying and was unable to to do it myself. the head nurse came in and fixed the situation however , I understand she was really busy but it was not a fun experience.

Truly disgusting practice and terrible nurses and doctors alike. The charge nurse was the only humane person there. this is sad and awful. my grandfather has had emergency surgery three times here and has had to fight for painkillers after major surgery every single time. the nurses were calling him a 'junkie' for asking for basic painkillers. This hospital is full of the mean girls who peaked in highschool. He has been in insane pain because his 'doctor' promised his pain would be managed and failed. The same lady who told him he wouldn't be in pain stood in his room and told him they would not give him pain medication nor would move him to someone who would. I truly believe if anyone needs help, go somewhere else, this hospital is extremely unprofessional and cruel.

The nursing staff is incredible and extremely supportive threw the labor and delivery process. Everyone there is extremely nice and truly care about the work they do they answered all of our questions and concerns.

[Original Review] I had injured/cut my head on 10/13/2024 and was in need of immediate medical care of which my wife and two children took me to the Casper Medical Center, i.e. Banner Health. We have never been to this hospital and so when my wife dropped me off so she could park the car, I went into the wrong doors. The attendant at the front desk was compassionate and assisted me to the emergency room because he saw the blood all over my hands, head and jeans. This person was the only good thing about this hospital. Once in the emergency room I will give credit to the fact that I was processed quickly and taken immediately back to a room. The only reason this happened was there was only one other person in the waiting room, and it was a mid-Sunday afternoon. I cannot speak for how things would have turned out if I had to wait. Once in the room we had multiple nurses, etc. come in and out of the room, and one offered me a muscle relaxant and pain medication. I took the muscle relaxant, but when they took out the pain medication it was a big shot. I do not do well with shots because I was traumatized as a child with the shots I had to get every week for 3-4 years. I asked if they could please give me pain medication in the form of a solid, and the women said she would ask the doctor; I was never given anything for pain. The doctor came in with an assistant and cleaned the wound area, then without administering any numbing agent or even asking if I wanted to have it numbed, he proceeded to staple my head five times. I yelled each time loudly because of the pain it caused, not only to my head but in the amplification of the pain from my injury. This was completely unacceptable, and caused more pain than was necessary that caused the pain from my injury to hurt worse until Thursday of that week, four days later. At that time the pain from the staples began to subside, but I lost a lot of sleep because of it and work that I had to take off. I will not go over the rest of the appointment as it was pretty standard with a CT scan and back to the room. However, I do want to point out that I asked one more time for pain medication and was blown off a second time. Then my wife asked another nurse to please get me some pain medication and was blown off a third time. Again, completely unacceptable. My two children were a witness to this because they asked when I was going to get some medicine to help me. Needless to say I will never go back to this hospital ever again. I would rather travel to Douglas or elsewhere. The care they gave me as far as pain management and in the case of the procedure was below subpar. My sister has been a nurse for over 15 years or so and now works in cancer research. She was appalled by this service. Whatever happened to abiding by and taking seriously oaths spoken and agreed upon when becoming a doctor; "I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug." Would I recommend this place, absolutely not. There was no warmth, sympathy or understanding to my situation. I understand forgetting about the pain medicine once, but three times is unacceptable. And to top it off when being discharged I was told they would write a prescription for muscle relaxants and pain medication of which they never did. So technically this was a fourth time they completely disregarded that I need something for the pain. Banner Health should treat their patients more respectfully and with more compassion, and should be ashamed at not truly trying to keep the patient's comfort in mind at all times.

I went to the ER tonight and every single employee that I encountered there was friendly, thorough, courteous and compassionate. They were gentle, kind and they listened to me. I wasn’t left in my room unattended for long (or the waiting room) and I wasn’t kept in the hospital too long, as a result. They weren’t rushed with me either. They were wonderful and attentive. It was precisely how medical professionals should behave and that was such a breath of fresh air. I had to have blood drawn and I’m a difficult stick but they found someone who looked carefully, quickly found a vein and I hardly felt a thing. The nursing student they had with them was also cheery and helpful. The physician was so great. When I left, she sent me with prescriptions and very detailed discharge instructions. Nearly a book in fact, much of it handwritten (legibly :) and highlighted. The one time I pressed my call light, they responded promptly and happily. I was obviously suffering but their assistance and genuine care did NOT go unnoticed as it made my night so much easier. Thank you, ER personnel.

My husband and I were passing through Wyoming, when he came down with a deadly case of pneumonia. After 2 and a 1/2 weeks in ICU, another week and a half on PCU, then a week Rehab hospital he is doing better and we are finally home. Thank you for saving his life. Everyone was so kind and considerate of me, they took care of me. I don't have words to express my gratitude to every department.

This is the 2nd time I reviewed this hospital as my 1st one was deleted. Not not quite sure why it was deleted. I gave an accurate representation Of what it is like being a patient in this hospital. So let's try this again : This is not the place to go if you are looking to get any quick attention. The Nurses don't quite seem to understand what is going on as I was asked repeatedly if I was given my medicine, what would have happened if I had A memory problem who is to say. There is 0 centralized information as I've seen notes written on nurse's hands or just random scraps of paper then discarded into scrub pockets, Only to have to answer the same question to another nuis to another nurse over and over I don't understand why they do not have laptops that they keep centralized notes in. Fairly dangerous with a confused patient. This place is usting! There is mold in the shower, Dried liquid all over the floor of the actual room. I have posted photos photos of both incidences

The nurses were great. Very well taken care of me after my surgery. But housekeeping didn't do a good job cleaning. The bathroom was so dirty that I didn't want to walk on the floor without shoes and wouldn't use the shower because it was to dirty.

The WY Medical Center Cafeteria is what I am reviewing here. This is a hard business, but the staff who run the cafeteria get it done dayin and day out. Food is comfort and that is definitely what the cafeteria provides. Where else can you get a very healthy, hot, fresh, inexpensive meal everyday of the week? The WY Medical Center Cafeteria is where it is at! Great job. Not excepting Bitcoin yet but hopefully soon.
