I've never done this before and I went by myself (I am 21) and the guys were very helpful & I wasn't made to feel stupid (which I worry about when I've never gone to a place before bc I'm autistic)
Nice guys and they work hard. Seems like a friendly workplace despite the visual grit. They helped me push my cart inside when i couldnt even move it and gave me some tips on separating wire gauges. Probably the best place in waukesha to trade metal for money.
Dave is an awesome staff member and has been for many years. I haven't seen him in over a month so I hope nothing happened to him, it would be a great loss to ARR if for some reason he is no longer there. Hopefully I see him there soon
National Salvage by the Stadium is one of the best places to take your recyclables. The yard is set up for quick and efficient drop off and the two guys running the scale and forklift are hands down the best guys I have dealt with at any scrap yard - helpful and polite even on the busiest days. A special call out goes to Andrew Richter - he answered all my questions very thoroughly and informed me of the best way to sort my metals for the most payout at the scale then followed up with a phone call to be sure I was taken care of. You don't get this kind of service anywhere else. Thanks Andrew!
Been here a couple times to recycle scrap steel, aluminum siding, brass from old plumbing fixtures, etc. The staff was helpful and I was in and out in very little time.
Workers were super helpful & understood that I've invested a lot of time into my collections. The one fellow even took me in the sorting area to explain the different kinds of aluminum.
I wish I would have asked them how the company treats them, because they deserve a premium in pay for being diplomatic.
I'm new to Pewaukee and so we had a lot of deliveries which created cardboard boxes. Despite my breaking them down and stacking them nicely, the Waste Management that my Condo Association uses didn't take them. I was stuck with the boxes. The ARR Recycling center was my savior. Great facility. Easy to get to and use. I give them five stars!
Very simple process for a newbie like me, staff was helpful and rates were very good. Recycled a riding mower, snowblower, grill, some brake disc's and a fire pit with no problems.
Place is always clean staff is courteous and helpful I feel I get the best prices here than anywhere else it's a little bit of a drive but well worth it in my opinion. I wish they were open longer on Saturdays they are very busy on that day
Decent experiences at this recycling center. Would be nice if you posted current payouts online instead of having to call daily. Also some assistance unloading materials would be helpful and beneficial to keep the unload zone moving.
Worst experience ever. The lady working there was very rude, the manager was nasty told me one thing on phone then I get there told me something else. Don't go there. Not customer service friendly.

I have been doing business with Allied Resource Recovery for close to 4 years now. We are there multiple times a week doing business. Erin and the girls up front, along with the guys in the back are fantastic to work with. They always accommodate me, even when I can be a bit demanding. They work hard to make sure my needs are always met! Come to think of it, Steve in the West Allis location is a rock star also, he has helped me when the team in Waukesha is in transition and I have to go there to empty out. Wouldn't go anywhere else
Absolutely the worst recycling center I've been to. They told me over the fone my solid copper wire was $2.40lb and only gave me .60centlb they are scam artists and will never go back

Dude, YOU ARE A 40 SOMETHING YEAR OLD MAN WORKS AT A RECYCLING CENTER! YOU ARE NOTHING SPECIAL! YOU ARE AT THE LOWEST OF LOWEST IN LIFE! START TREATING YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT BRING IN RECYCLING MATERIALS LIKE YOU CARE! (WHY?) BECAUSE AT THE END IF THE DAY.....WE PAY YOUR SALARY!! NO METAL, NO PAYCHECK.
I don't feel I was given the right amount of money for the amount of aluminum I brought in there. I was told aluminum wheels were 45 cents a pound over the phone and they gave me 30 cents scrap value per pound. And I had other clean aluminum that was also 30 cents per pound when I feel it should have been 45 cents. For now on I will be taking my scrap some were else. By the way they round up or down to the nearest dollar.
