Avoid this business!
We brought in a load that contained an aluminum boat and a separate load of copper.
Iron Horse refused to give us anything but sheet iron price and completely ripped us off!
They completely took advantage of us not knowing what to do at a scrap yard. This is also being reported to the BBB.
Hours say Open from 9am - 4pm Monday - Friday. Got there around 9:40 am when it was supposed to be open and they were not. Waited over an hour thinking they might have been late or something. Didn't find anything posted online indicating they were closed today. I drove a long way, wasting my time and fuel. Not happy. Change your hours if you're not going to be open and empty your voicemail so we can actually call. Not the first time this has happened.
One phone number they listed I called and that is a fax number and just screeches in your ear . The other phone number I called, says the mailbox is full and there's not enough room to leave a message. we drove there all the way from Mountain and they were not open does anyone know are they still open? Are they still accepting cans? And does this business have a valid phone number?
Local reviews don't represent anything accurate in this area. I have family a few townships over that always get negative reviews from people in competition. Seriously, call to compare common values, like iron/steel and aluminum. Don't go by rando-mcscrew with no comparable numbers. The small town two-five review land is full of BS, and usually negative reviews from competitors. Again, I don't have family here, but my closest family has used Iron Horse for years over the local recycling options for a reason. It really is that crappy on the small scale. You have the number, call and compare.
