I've never posted a negative review; but if you take the higher priced items like copper or brass on a Saturday morning, prepare to get ripped off awfully bad, especially if you are older and vulnerable. For twice as much perfect condition brass and copper, I was given less than a quarter of my first visit. It was virtually in new condition, but I was told it was "dirty". An obvious scam that really depresses one who works hard. Go somewhere else for these items.
Everyone's situation is different when they come to a salvage yard and it really depends on when you go and being efficient when you are there. If you can help it don't go on Saturdays if you are not patient. Otherwise, treat people with respect and you will get it back there. Be kind and think about others if you can.
I just came from there today and they are currently paying 60 cents a pound of aluminum cans. I ended up with good chunk of change. Not bad for not bringing in all my cans due to not enough room in my neighbor's car to put them in.
