This place is a joke, don't bring anything here because you wont get paid. I brought about 400-500# of scrap metal and they wouldn't even weigh me.. They just said go dump it and leave. 0 money paid out. On top of that they wanted to charge me 28$ to dispose a small dorm size microwave. Screw these guys, I should have dumped the microwave in the pile but Im better than that.
I never knew this place existed! I was so glad to find a location nearby that still takes aluminum cans. I called ahead to be sure. Google maps got me there but I was certainly confused on where to go. I walked in to what looked like an office and asked. I followed the one way signs and ended up by parked semi trailers. You do a drive through an L shaped building, a nice guy came out and sent my cans up a conveyor and I drove forward to a bank teller like window where I got my cash. They take anything metal! I'm so happy to have found this place. Even though it's not marked with the best signage, don't give up. I was pressed for time.
Brought in 50 pounds of insulated wire pretty much all extension chords, guy tried to give me $0.10 a pound and said it was computer chords. Took it all back brought it to Manitowoc scrap yard and got over $1.00 per pound.. They thought I didn’t know any better because I was a new customer there and tried to get over on me. Gave me $6.00 for 100 pounds of electrical motors and Manitowoc gave me $18.00 for 100 pounds. I will never do any business here ever again it’s a rip off on what they pay out!!
