Beautiful rest area right as you come into Wisconsin.
It’s clean, has about 20 semi parking spots, and a pet area that’s well maintained. There’s even a walking trail and picnic spots with great views — perfect place to stretch your legs or knock out a 30-minute break.
Yes, the grounds are very nice. However, if you are trying to rest or freshen up a bit I'd find somewhere else to do it if the staff is there. You might wind up being accused of smoking in the bathroom and have the cops called on you. If I can't go into a public bathroom to freshen up without having to light up a cigarette then I seriously need to reevaluate my life choices. Yes I smell like cigarettes after being in my car all night and morning driving. Hence the need to freshen up a bit. How about you fix the bathroom stall door that won't lock instead of causing drama.
If you are driving a large RV park in the truck parking. If you park in the designated bus lane to get out easy an employee will come out yelling at you to move into the "designated RV" parking. That parking may be OK for a 42' 5th wheel with a Dually but the turn to get there definitely isn't. Stop in town to hit the restroom instead. Apparently the hospitality center is not very welcoming to visitors.
Clean rest area, bathrooms cleaned, snack machines well stocked. Grounds well kept and nice view of river behind rest stop. Worth sitting outside during summer and stretching if you need a quick stop on a long trip.
Nice rest area. Everything is clean, and there are beautiful trees around. Birds are singing, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. Inside the rest area building, there are vending machines with snacks and drinks. The restrooms are clean. Overall, a great place to take a break.
It's got paths, bathrooms, tourist info, views of the river, and a kids playground area with rubberized pellet ground cover that's pretty cool. And it won't cost you a dime!
Nice and quiet rest area. Walk way close to the Mississippi river. Clean parking areas and restrooms. Perfect for semis to have a legal 10 hr rest break.
Welcome to Wisconsin center. I believe the rabbit left its prints in the snow. Frozen river looked so awesome!! Beautiful view. Glad I got to be here visiting
Nice place to stop clean washroom. Car and 18 wheels parking available. Awesome garden for childrens to play. Wending machine are their. River behind the stop is amazing view.
I was so impressed with this rest area! I stop at a lot in my travels... And the ones I have seen lately (out west, if they have them at all) leave a lot to be desired!!! But this was clean, had a little trail that took you down by the Mississippi... Thanks for keeping it up so nice for us travelers!!
Had a clean bathroom but the area where you pick up flyers and coupons...closed...and nothing outside the locked gate. So why even have the flyers then? Saw some on the drive home..could have saved us money at at least half the places we went
Some of us mentioned it before, this Rest Area is unique.
Clean, quite, not many people stop by (probably why things are the way they are), hotel lobby music in every room, well lit, enough spacae and separate ones for trucks cars and rv's. It has NO WIFI, But an info desk(welcome center). It felt safe to rest for one night.
If you want super hot water... Go in the family room and wait for super hot water to come. The rest you can see in my picture's I took.
This rest area is special. The facility is clean and comfortable. There are some trails behind the rest area that look well used. There were even people fishing because it is so peaceful. There is also an area for dog walking near the South end if the parking lot. This is a great rest stop!
I’m no connoisseur of rest areas, but I’ve stopped at my fair share. This is absolutely the prettiest one I’ve ever seen. It’s also far enough off the freeway that there is very little noise pollution.
This place is amazing it's right on the river mouth and it's so green so lush so clean so beautiful the everything was green and beautiful and the restrooms were so clean in there so much details and they had signs and information everywhere and wow I just loved this rest area it was so pretty so amazing I had a stop and take as many pictures as I could.
